  1. Leaving Badiashile out of the CL squad was a colossal mistake. Stunning that people paid millions couldn't see what even armchair football experts could see coming with our injury crisis at CB.
  2. Like @DDA mentioned, the biggest problem we face out our end is if Lampard decides to show his footballing arrogance and puts out a lineup that harms us. If he's humble enough and recognizes what had worked in the recent past, and if the players are fully up for it (possible because it's CL), then we have a chance here.
  3. I think almost everyone agrees that this situation isn't Lampards fault (even if his tactics are costing the match) It's the people who put him in place that are to blame.
  4. Only hope is that the players play for themselves and try to make something of it.
  5. "Give me eleven Gallaghers, and I'll win the Champions League and the premier league" - said Jose Mourinho. Never.
  6. The irony is that these people were quick to sack Tuchel and appoint Potter Now all of a sudden they've grown a conscience and want to take things slowly with the next appointment. Someone on the board must be a Spurs fan.
  7. Ironic you say this., when the war that's going on is what got us into this shit in the first place.
  8. 'We have an important game against Wolves on Saturday and then we will turn our attention to our Champions League quarter-final in Madrid next week. We are all going to give Frank our full backing as we aim to get the best possible outcome from all our remaining games.' Just...fuck off. What were these buffoons smoking when they thought this would be the 'best possible outcome'. morons.
  9. Gallagher fouls a Wolves player with his studs..
  10. Gallaghers control of the ball..is just crap He chases the ball even when he has it.
  11. Mount literally scored against Madrid last year., but nvm. I see your point.
  12. Won't blame Lampard. Or even the useless Gallagher. The indecisive clowns decided to appoint a scapegoat because they couldn't make up their minds regarding a real managerial appointment. Only hope now is that we don't get pulled into relegation battle., and we leave something for the new manager to work with.
  13. Tbf, it's against Madrid that Mount has put in some of his best performances (and more importantly, goals) I'd rather have it backward.
  14. The worst thing Benitez did was throw away our first CWC cup, but aside from that, his team was solid, if not spectacular.
  15. It's now or never for him, though. If his form doesn't pick up under Lampard, then it's not likely it ever will.
  16. Yes, but in that game the Wolves were at our doorstep (meaning it was a home game)
  17. To anyone saying the club is being responsible by not rushing to a decision...who said they have to? They should have been researching options from the moment they had doubts about Potter. Amateur hour from the board
  18. I still think that this somehow all ties back to Arteta and Arsenal...fuck this season.
  19. Fucking knew it..bunch of frauds. Not Lampard, I mean.
  20. Hmph., so they're at least implying they have other people in mind for permanent head coach. Wonder if that list includes Lampard.
  21. The thing is...did it ever get toxic under Lampard (at the Bridge), even at his worst? Can't recall. My worry is that these owners will bow to fan sentiment instead of making the right call. Because they don't really know how to.
  22. That's the thing isn't it? If we go an epic run in the CL, or just simply turn around our league form, we will face this question. Fat chance that the owners would tell Lampard to quietly move on. Especially if he's bringing several team members on board. In any case, I'd be interested in seeing what statement they put out if they do hire him. The clue will be in how explicit they are about his terms of stay. This isn't like old man Hiddink signing on as interim until Ancelloti became available. I have a feeling that their no.1 choice (guessing Naggelsman) wasn't ready to join, and they weren't too sure about the second choice (guessing Enrique), and so they decided to drag it out until the summer. And they decided to instil Lampard as the scapegoat until then., so that at least the match-going fans would keep quiet.
  23. I honestly wonder if that's the reasoning behind the owners' thinking. So they can chat whatever nonsense they want with the managers over lunch or just 'communicate' their nonsensical vision.
  24. I find it hard to believe that both Enrique and Naggelsman were unavailable. And even if they needed an interim, why Lampard? Clueless move only to try and pander to the fans. There's no logic behind their decisions. They're setting things up to ruin our next season as well.
  25. I'd rather have Mourinho back over Conte or Lampard
