Also, coincidentally. That might explain a lot.

That sucks if true.. Like someone suggested on the other thread these players need to also practice Yoga or something different if their fitness is so poor. Even light work puts their body under strain??
-
I think he tried towards the end. That ankle injury killed his momentum.

Lol..the Spusry aspect is the only thing that makes me question them. Their football though, is getting rave reviews and they seem to have a lot of steel about them. But I guess it also depends on who you talk to. I know Arsenal fans who think they got away with one in the game against them, and clearly they got away with one against Liverpool. And they've already been knocked out of the league cup. So who knows 🤷♂️

Arsenal up. Can't say it wasn't deserved. Kovacic should've been sent off.
-
And obviously several players angrily surround the referee, and none of them get carded today. I guess it's because they weren't wearing a gold Chelsea badge.
-
Interesting decision - that Kovacic foul being branded just a yellow. How is the Gusto challenge any worse??
-
Our athletes will go to infinity and beyond.
-
From a goal threat no. 8 in Lampard , to Kovacic no.8 and Enzo no. 8. The latter two are great midfielders. But limp shooters.
-
Credit where its due. I've always ranted about his ability on the ball, but he has vastly improved in this aspect in the past few games. Plus him playing in front of Enzo is a lot better option than the other way around. If he keeps this up, I will happily eat humble pie. @NikkiCFC is right that there is a player here that can do a job for the team.

Well, we have to wait till Jan anyway. So plenty of time to assess our current strike force. Just wish Nkunku was also fit sooner rather than later (as in closet to Jan). His recovery could make a difference.

With the new shirt sponsors, we are now a team of infinite athletes. The possibilities are endless. The team's potential is boundless. The sky is no longer the limit. There is no limit.
-
What are the odds that they'll impose a ban, right after he becomes fit again.
-
PGMOL admits their mistake. Apparently the VAR official thought that the goal was ALLOWED by the on-field referee, and told them to get on with the game. Hence why they didn't bother to correct the incorrect offside ruling Can't make this up. Every time they pull something new out of their arse. At this point I'm inclined to believe that the PL actually endorses their fuckups just so that the league becomes more 'entertaining'
-
Well - it was approved by the PL, and they certainly took their time reviewing the deal. Also, I think this is a short term deal. We might be switching sponsors again after this season.
-
We finally scored this month, and Jackson broke his goalless streak. @Thor It's because we finally got that shirt sponsor approved! We now have lift-off

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12564027/Chelsea-FINALLY-handed-Premier-League-approval-Infinite-Athlete-new-shirt-sponsor-reaching-40m-season-deal-company.html This is it lads! We finally got approval for a kit sponsor, with infinite athlete. Time to start winning. Time to start grinning.

Exactly this. This management always seems to follow a brute force approach. Right intentions, but they go about it an extreme manner. The players that had to go, should have been phased out over a couple of seasons., rather than doing all in one go. Anyway it's done. I just hope the short term impact, namely another poor finish in the league, doesn't have any lasting damage.
-
Results aside, hopefully he uses the cup game to change things up a little.
-
Well..., I guess you could say that at least the people who are still posting here now are true supporters. Else we wouldn't be here complaining 😄
-
What this table doesn't say, is the quality of teams we and others have faced. We've also had one of the easiest run-ins of any other PL team., in the first 6 games.

Chelsea co-owner runs away from fans after confronting players in dressing room following defeat to Aston Villa https://www.google.com/amp/s/metro.co.uk/2023/09/24/Chelsea-co-owner-behdad-eghbali-runs-away-from-fans-after-latest-loss-19550745/amp/

"We thought Chelsea [was] frankly an asset, a business that was not terribly well managed on the football side, sporting side or promotional side, so meaningful opportunity at the club and we’ll get to it for us, who needed the beachhead to then look at multi clubs. [We] looked at it and we think European sports is probably 20 years behind US sports in terms of sophistication on the commercial side, and sophistication on the data side. [...] These are global assets, global audiences which we think we can certainly help grow.” Fucking arrogance.

Once upon a time.

It's like Arsenal under Kroenke. They know Chelsea already have a global fanbase. They know people will still turn up for games. The hard part was already done by Roman. The pressure to win and keep the clubs name up in lights is no longer there. Their primary objective this window was to bring down the wage bill. Nothing more. And if the reports are true, they STILL want to bring it down by another 100m. And these people won't give a crap about performances, not unless we slip into a full on relegation battle.
