  1. Yeah the one against Fellaini was very impressive...calm and composed on the ball as always, but what surprised me was seeing him actually hounding the Everton defenders to get the ball back (the incident where he played as a right back against Saha). But the Everton defence probably wouldn't have been unlocked were it not for a certain Juan, so that's my man of the match...
  2. Just like Lampard was thought to be done and dusted? No the player is more or less still there, but Drogba just doesn't seem motivated enough in the last two matches...He didn't seem to show the will to beat the last man (when he easily could shrug him off) and find the back of the net.. Maybe he feels that he has a lesser role to play this season and is refraining from going to his thunderous best. From the looks of things, he might feel (and certainly I feel) that he's nothing more than a stand-in for Torres. If that's true, I'm just grateful he's doing a decent job in the build-up play and not just being a waste of space on the pitch. Edit:But I think all this could change, and our squad players will show more enthusiasm when there are more telling signs of us winning a trophy this season. Similar to how our squad played in the second half of 09-10
  3. Not as annoying as the ESPN commentator who was like: "Should we put Chelsea in the category of the two Manchester clubs?" No..thank you! Says me....
  4. Wish Drogba showed more enthusiasm throughout the match...he could have had much more influence, kind of like he showed in the build-up to Ramires' goal
  5. First real involvement in play from Drogba..want to see more of the same Great passing from Mata, Ramires again in the right position
  6. The best thing that can happen for us in an Everton game: A 2 goal lead
  7. We won a penalty shoot-out this season, let's see if AVB can break another one of our recent hoodoo's.
  8. Should be fun to watch though... Jamie Carragher and Vidic pulling people by their shirts...Nani and Luis Suarez falling to the ground and wailing...Comedy from Reina and De Gea.... Yep, truly the "greatest" match the EPL has to offer....
  9. Why can't they work out Didier's contract before they even think of offering one to Kaloo... :ballack:
  10. Considering the history of our players with regards to injuries, I guess we will never now until March gets here..
  11. From the looks of things it seems as if some of the older squad members aren't too happy with the new deals, and the club is trying to secure deals with whoever they can from that group...
  12. I hope this has nothing to do with Drogba's contract talks supposedly stalling...
  13. I''m sorry if this sounds naive, but can't the CPO members request some sort of agreement on paper, that the move (if required) will be to one of the favored locations within the 3 mile radius? I also think that the recent turn of events means they (the board) have a location in mind...
  14. What haunts me is the lingering doubt about whether our team will ever live up to the performances that were put in on those two nights. Players like Drogba (although he did improve in 2010) , Lampard and Terry were on the top of their game, but were still denied.. And to add insult to injury the two opposition teams have contested two finals in the aftermath... I really want our older players to win a CL trophy.(.I mean how can someone like Carrick, Busquets or Tevez win a CL medal, over Drogba and Lampard?)...Maybe, and perhaps fittingly, it will be the youngsters who will actually carry them over that treshold... sigh...I'm still sentimental about this
  15. I couldn't care less for Liverpool's fate..if they can stall Utd in any way so be it
  16. Ever heard of some poor sobs who try so hard to get an erection? This journo falls straight into that category...
  17. And the worst thing is that Barca team has gone on to new heights, and is made to look unbelievably good (which they are, of course) against clueless teams like Man Utd.. Even if nothing else works out this season, I hope we can take out at least one of Man Utd or Barca this time, and I hope Didier and JT will be there to enjoy it...
  18. If we ever make a new stadium, that would be a good name...there's a lot of meaning behind it, even if it will be used as an historical reference
  19. Drogba? Lampard,? Even Terry.., and Essien's fantastic long range shots? There have been numerous instances where they have conjured something out of nowhere to win us a trophy or get us through to the next round.. Its just that in Champions league the team as a whole has been unlucky, so I wouldn't think too much about it...
  20. Everton (at least at the matches played at Goodison Park) seem to be in trouble whenever they play against teams like Arsenal which play free-flowing football, while they tend to battle and get a result against more organized teams like Chelsea and Man Utd.. Maybe now the tide's about to turn for us...
  21. Depends...if the fans get nasty about the whole thing, Roman could get nasty or just leave....
  22. And there the article loses all credibility... Paul Parker's a bald baboon....
