  1. The most baffling thing to me is that Maresca brought on Tosin but refused to give minutes to Estevao in a match where we desperately needed to score.
  2. Yeah, keep rotating the squad. It's obvious who you're trying to please. Maresca is not going anywhere anytime soon. This is exactly what the directors want.
  3. I think the board will actually congratulate him for giving minutes to their players, raising their value. Although Tosin's value is probably going down with each showing
  4. Give more exposure to the players like Tosin. Force Chelsea to play in the playoff rounds. Additional games. Even more exposure for Tosin. Genius move by directors and the manager.
  5. This one is probably down to Maresca, who never seemed to rate Veiga.
  6. Wonder whether Tosin will start over Josh Acheampong again. I guess eventually he will give a good performance with all these opportunities.
  7. Our best hopes currently lie in Colwill making a full recovery, and Josh Acheampong sticking around to realize his full potential as a right sided CB. Considering that amount of leeway they gave to Fofana, I've no doubt that they will patiently wait for Colwill. I wish there was a Thiago Silva type option out there (to get a quality CB on a low or no fee). Feels like thats the only option this administration will consider.
  8. Said the same thing, there is an article in the Mail describing the strategy employed by the directors. They are aware that it could risk getting some terrible results during the course of the season, but its a risk they are willing to take. Apparently it will yield "long-term benefits" whatever that is. IMO, that long-term benefit is just boosting the resale value of these players. It's no coincidence that this Chelsea team has seen one of the highest number of starting 11 player rotations in the league. And no surprise that Maresca himself comes out after the Leeds match saying that he 'regrets' not starting with Acheampong.
  9. At least Caicedo should hopefully play this one. And pick a proper CB pairing. Give Josh the minutes he needs. No need to revert to Tosin.
  10. Bringing on Tosin for aerial duels. The guy just isn't capable. He did that for Sunderland earlier this year, by subbing him on for Josh and it ended in disaster.
  11. Those players simply had more footballing IQ. I dont think that sort of stuff can be coached
  12. That's not good. Even if he can be incompetent at times, we still offers a different type of striking option. Guiu is good in terms of positioning but I wouldn't trust him to hit a barn door with his shooting. Not sure what happened to Joao Pedro. He looks so off it. Hopefully Palmer returning can see him return to some sort of form he showed early season.
  13. Not convinced with the James in midfield argument. He was great against Arsenal, but today he was all over the place in terms of positioning off the ball. Bournemouth was missing midfielders, and we failed to take any advantage.
  14. Enzo and James have been poor this game. After all their good efforts against Arsenal, theyve looked so average today.
  15. 3rd shot on target in a space of a few minutes. Getting better
  16. Michael Oliver giving Senesi a full license to do any type of foul.
  17. This Senesi is playing like a pig. How is he not on a yellow.
  18. That was a dirty move by the Bournemouth player on Delap..how is that not VAR reviwed.
  19. Again Delap with a foul.. I get that he needs to be physical, but he needs to be smart about it. Drogba for example could be physical without drawing fouls because of his footballing intelligence.
  20. I don't think its shitting on Delap to say that he shouldn't pick up a needless foul.
  21. Delap should calm down. Not sure why he thinks he's playing for Stoke.
