  1. Messi is an all time great., but anyone calling him a top 3 of top 5 forward at this point in time has to think hard. Especially those Messi or Ronaldo fans. Do they even watch football games? I'm looking at Messi PSG videos and they're saying stuff like 'Extra terrestrial class', lol.
  2. You seemed to be singling out Mount for lack of big game performances, hence why I asked. It's not that he can't perform in big games. Maybe he hasn't consistently delivered. But that's the case with the entire team. The fact is we don't have consistent big game performers in the remaining attacking players. Maybe Havertz and Pulisic have slightly better stats. But I wouldn't call those earth shattering when compared to Mount.
  3. Didn't he deliver against City in the Champions league final? Or was that Mormon Mount.
  4. Please let that be the 2nd kit. Not that cyan and white monstrosity
  5. Why do you never see Nike bringing in outrageous designs with silly checkered patterns on the Pool kits? They always tend to be lot more clean while they experiment designs with ours.
  6. I swear..whoever is in charge of kit design there doesn't care much for Chelsea. Still, you'd think the club can also say no to a design that doesn't look good.
  7. Reading the article again it seems like that was for just the one match against Wolves, probably for the trophy lift. I'd be a lot more annoyed if they had changed the rules right around the time we became eligible to play in the CWC
  8. Hope Chelsea at least appeals though. Can't believe the PL can't make an exception for this badge. It's not like the CWC hasn't been around for many years.
  9. Yeah..I guess it's still possible for next year's PL competition? Don't recall if Liverpool were able to do it in the PL right after their CWC win.
  10. What's with that bloody pattern on the collar? Is it some kind of West London connection? In the zoomed view it just looks like they took the Chelsea lion and stretched him all over.....but why??? Who would do such a thing....
  11. Its a tire rim that fell off Arsene Wenger's car
  12. Its laughable that players are okay taking umpteen amounts of pain medication and injections to play through trauma, or risking their body in physical play. But one vaccine that could give at most half a day worth of chills? Oh no. That's going too far.
  13. I think it goes beyond football honestly. Even when it comes to tech entrepreneurs or artists . Think it should be a lesson to kids in general. Admire a person's achievements. Not worship the person itself. Especially someone you don't know personally.
  14. Kurt 'Happy' Zouma. Little too happy there.
  15. Not the first time I've heard that. Chelsea-Barcelona games at the Bridge are a testament to that. You could see how Barcelona dropped down levels when they were the visiting side. Maybe we just need attackers with more athleticism, like in the late 2000s.
  16. The timing of this Covid infection. No respite again this season. Hope Tuchel can at least take charge in time for the finals.
  17. It has some makings of a Klopp team. Wonder how Klopp would have used that front 3. I'm sure he would have turned Oscar into a pressing machine. Not sure how much he could have got from Hazard or Mata, though
  18. What ultimately let the trio down, was that neither Hazard nor Mata offered much in the defensive phase. If we had better central midfielders at the time (Kante) we could have got away with it. The best we had then was an aging Obi Mikel and Ramires (who was more of a no.8)
  19. Don't see the Arsenal game on there? Is that one of the rearranged fixtures??
  20. Sometimes I imagine what it would be like having both Drogba and Rudiger on the same team! Team would've had such a competitive edge to say the least.
  21. Having spent nearly a year here, has anyone figured out Tuchel's squad rotation strategy? He obviously has undroppables like Rudiger & Mendy. And if I have to guess, everyone else gets an extended run of games (if form is decent) for around a month or so, before they make way for someone else., after either being burned out from use or by just injury/poor form. Case in point: Alonso starting the first month or so of the campaign, before making way for Chillwell. Last month Pulisic. Now Mount & Ziyech. I'm assuming he's keeping Havertz & Werner fresh and charged up for the coming weeks (Feb and beyond). Would be interesting to see.
  22. We have nearly a whole squad that's injury prone. And then we add another injury prone player. Can't make this up.
