  1. Essien (ye olde) Schweinsteiger De Rossi Witsel People are always going on and on about how these players would be perfect in the 'double pivot' and to me they are all B2B midfielders. They can defend and they can create (whatever create means). Seriously, creative is the most ambigous term in football. Everyone has different opinions about what 'creative' means and it starts arguements. The only term I hate more than 'creative' is 'free flowing'. What the fuck does 'free flowing' mean? I remember someone said that Chelsea played 'free flowing' football in 09-10, but all I saw was robotic and efficient football that ended in a lot of goals. There was nothing different between 09-10 and 11-12 except for goals scored. So Malouda, Lampard and Drogba hitting the form of their careers make the team play 'free flowing' even though they played the same the seasibs before and after but with less of an end product? /rant I'm taking this to the pub.
  2. Dembélé is barely an attacking player anymore, I would class him as a Box-To-Box midfielder.
  3. Joe Cole used to do that all the time. Eden Hazard does that all the time. Now Kevin de Bruyne and Fernando Torres are doing rabonas? I think Joey Cole has made an influence at Lille.
  4. I believe the penalty was a genuine foul also, but Torres milked the hell out of it with his theatrics; arms in the air, head back, that sort of stuff. You do have to admit the bastard does enjoy a dive or two every game.
  5. Liverpool's shirt looks like a pimple. Red infection with a yellow pussy head. Sorry for the mental images... On another note, I'm growing fond of Barça's home kit.
  6. Portuguese George Clooney really is one of my favourite of all time.
  7. The greatest advantage Hazard grants the team is that he allows Mata to be himself as he no longer has the burden of being the only creator in the team. Mata may not register as many goals or assists as last season, but I belive he will be an even more important player.
  8. Who will play at CF if Fernando Torres is injured of suspended? Hazard? Mata?
  9. I think Bertrand on the wing is great. He is a: decent dribbler, very fast, great at crossing and will work hard for the team.
  10. Bah, I've had worse nose bleeds. Harden the fuck up Wayne.
  11. I think I'm in love with someone...wait...no, I'm just hungry. Manly men like ourselves don't feel emotions. Chelsea 3 Newcastle 0 Fuck 'em.
  12. Don't, please, don't even consider posting things like this.
  13. Sheva doesn't have any haters, only supporters. Sheva is invincible. Sheva is unflappable.Sheva is SHEVCHENKOOOOOO.
  14. Because of the Evil English Imperialists that control the world through mass media propaganda and a Great Britain league would be just another way to convey Evil English Imperialist dogma into the brains of our youth. Blah, blah, blah fuck Australian and Canada too, they are in England, right? Everyone is so sensitive about everything.
  15. THe only way I can see it working is with a few select teams. Celtic for instance gets promoted to the PL and for one season 21 teams will contest and since there is an extra team an extra relegation spot would be needed. After that one season, it returns to normal. I hope that makes sense. It doesn't seem very concise at all.
  16. Because the Celtic fans would shit themselves and reply: "BUT WE ARE IRISH". Even though Great Britain does not equate to United Kingdom, Celtic fans are an irrational bunch and it would mean the same thing to them. In the real world Great Britain = Landmass United Kingdom = Every country in the Commonwealth (Australia, Canada, England, Wales, etc) In the Celtic world: Great Britain = Evil English Imperialists repressing humanity United Kingdom = Evil English Imperialists repressing humanity A Celtic fan once called me an Ignorant Evil English Imperialist because I told him I'm an Australian with English heritage...
  17. They have not lost Sinclair...yet...
  18. It's early days but Laudrup has Swansea playing even better football than Rogers did. Swansea have themselves an unbelievable coach and personality in Laudrup.
  19. Europe is the West. While we are a 'Western' country we are very much in the 'East'. Flannel print and other similar styles has always been popular in Straya
  20. The Liga BBVA really treats it's supporters like shit. This isn't the first time they've pulled stuff like this off, once they delayed a game for over an hour because Mourinho was giving a press conference.
  21. Is he a true winger though? I've always been under the impression he is a winger that has been converted from a centre foward.
  22. That is a hilariously bad deal. Real Madrid have owned them.
  23. Nene Menez Lavezzi Pastore I don't think so.
  24. Maybe, but some of the member from the midlands or north may share your sentiments (e.g. Alex, Kojo). There just isn't enough exposure for most of these teams to hate justifiably (well for me anyway).
