cech ivan jt alex cole david luiz meireles lamps mata studger torres like to see this attempted, david luiz is silky enough on the ball to play in midfield and lets be honest hes up there enough anyway but at least this way if he gets caught out there is still 2 central defenders waiting to clean up instead of JT being left on his own. Mata in the hole with freedom to roam, i just think he opens up play better from this sort of position and allow Danny to have a proper strikers role alongside torres (only because of his last few on the bench)

I think its the end of the road for Drogs but not to make room for Fernando. The place should be given to the man who deserves it the most and at the minute thats Danny

i know that is equally as annoying and a lot of the mstch thread comments are pretty grim at times. I'm all for saying I prefer this one to that one at the minute, just don't see the need for running players who play for our team down

in truth most are, you can see what its like at the bridge when he scores or comes close ! It's the most animated we get at times.

Ok I'm only writing this because it seems to be a running theme and let me say from the outset that I am 100% behind torres as long as he plays for chels. What he does for Spain I don't care and what he did for Liverpool doesn't interest me either, its the here and now that interests me. Torres is not playing well and in truth has not played well consistently since he arrived last January, anyone who is anyone can tell you that. Now I'm not on here to sway peoples minds about him (that's for him to do on the pitch) but what I am hoping is that in future when we go on to the match thread and someone expresses a feeling of discontent that torres didn't get on or maybe that they thought he doesn't deserve criticism that that person should be able to back one of our own players without being labled a torres fc fan or fanboy. It's getting boring now and I fail to understand why people who are supporters have such an easy time almost willing one of our players to fail. But as I said you can each make up your own minds about el Nino but surely we can hold fire on trying to segregate our own fans into pro or anti torres? Just a suggestion

true but that wasn't the point he was making was it? He just said that Noone young was coming through into the team whereas the teams mentioned do have youth in there starting line ups! The amount of money paid wasn't the point

not really, he is talking about young players coming through and that's fair enough after all not too many of our hopefuls are from down the road are they and yes jones and kun and players mentioned may be slightly older but they are still youth being played. In fairness tho he did leave out the fact that mata, ramires, studger and david luiz are still young enough to form a core of this team for some time.

God help me but I just read Steve howards piece in the sun and he makes a lot of good points about how very little of the problems here at the moment can actually be laid at avb's feet

Would be interested to see what the plans will look like. Certainly looks to be plenty of surrounding area. Would the plan be to incorporate the current station or demolish the lot and rebuild would be what I'd like to know.

I agree, I would certainly prefer to change a lot of the squad before the manager. It's really hard to say and conceive but I think most of us can see that our stalwarts of the club are now at an end and its time for a shake up in personnel and of attitude.

I never said he wasn't right footed im elaborating to the fact that 9 times out of 10 he will get level with the box and turn in on his left side which is why I refer to it as his only foot.

not to be seen to be in the avb haters squad because I'm not but I think that criticism of avb is understandable, especially when it comes to team selection/substitutes from time to time. We should be careful when sticking by our manager to remember that although he is taking imo an unfair amount of criticism he has still made errors, the most glaring of which was not having an overhaul in the summer imo. To say the players have let avb down is fair enough but it can't be used as the only reason why we have under performed so far. Again this is not an anti avb rant, simply a realisation that there are problems on the coaching and playing side. I believe avb will turn us around. KTBFFH
