  1. Don't get to watch much of him tbh but in that video he is so much like Matic it's astounding. Well ahead of Mikel in..well, everything. And if I'm being objective his ability/technique on the ball out wide is impressive. Gets himself past defenders on the touch line like a winger. Don't get to see Matic that wide very much.
  2. Like nails on a chalkboard over and over when people post this after games. I feel like some posters just have it as a template and just copy and paste it after every goal conceded.
  3. We must be doing better this season. Our biggest problem in the forums is over the definition of terms in regards to a player who hasn't been playing for us. There was a time when we murdered each other over real problems, like Torres. And Bosingwa. And Malouda and Alex in the reserves lol
  4. Definitely entitled to your own opinion. From what I've seen he's been a breath of fresh air. Between him and Costa they brought a sense of balance and charisma to two positions that we'd been lacking in for soooo long.
  5. Geez, now I'm having trouble remembering. But it's something along the lines of accruing yellows in sets of 5, before certain time periods throughout the season. So, it would be like saying 5 yellows by December is the first suspension; 10 before March is the second and 2 games; 15 before June (the end of domestic competition, in theory) is the third and 3 games and then after 15 he has to sit before a board and serve more severe punishments. Can anyone tell me if I'm close or if I'm just talkin out of my pooper. God knows I've been wrong before -__-
  6. Damn, between him and Matic, that's a solid wall in front of the little guys...Cahill, Zuoma, etc.
  7. This whole "I told you so...." thing is very small, I think everyone involved here is above it, and no one dislikes Drogba enough to warrant those responses. Drogba made his statement on the pitch today. 'Nuff said.
  8. You could never really truly be mad at Kalou and Malouda cuz down inside you just knew that they didn't have the technical ability or pace to run at defenders and pass them. But for all the skill and speed Willian has, it's truly disappointing when you see his reluctance to run at defenders.
  9. I think that's fair. Really no slight either to Costa, Drogba's just in a league of his own.
  10. ...good enough for Chelsea. What a load. If anything, the precedent at this club is that hard work beats talent, when talent fails to work hard. We are amidst a generational bridge that proved itself year after year with squads forged in discipline and mental fortitude, that an over abundance of quality can take the backseat when a bit of grit and elbow grease is required to win games. Leave the "good enough" moniker for clubs like Real and United whose players are perpetually hidden in the shadows cast by their past legends. Where the whole will always be greater than the sum of its parts. This boy is willing to kill lions to make this club better. Here, the future is made with reverence towards achieving success through focus and work, and evident solely on the pitch. Not an immeasurable value of "enough for Chelsea." That's a sentiment. Leave sentiment for Wenger. And let's measure at the end.
  11. Azpilcueta is clearly the far superior player, even his tackles are much better. And Courtois is better in goal. And Matic is better at holding mid. And Mourinho the better manager. He plays his role in the side just fine. There's so much balance right now that if we had him marauding up and down the flanks and cutting in and taking risks you'd be rioting in the streets that Willian has no discipline and doesn't fit the system.
  12. Seriously. And to think we went through a period with Anelka, Malouda and Kalou, who god bless them for their efforts...wouldn't hold a candle to eden hazard. We're fortunate to have this kid in our team. Even if he never wins a Ballon d'Or the things he does with the ball are mind blowing.
  13. Slow moving CBs, or slow thinking/reacting? For all his faults and weaknesses, I never considered Cahill slow. I'm not discounting what you're saying but just a thought. Taken those Optima stats for what they're worth, he has been one of the fastest (top speed) CBs in the prem this year.
  14. I haven't noticed it but sounds goofy, worth checking out. As long as the ball gets to where it's intended, he could do a triple somersault into a front flip every time I don't particularly mind.
  15. What you did. It's there. And I see it.
  16. ...could work hard and hold up the ball. Unlike Drogba. No way. Just no. It's almost infuriating reading that. Genuinely upsetting. Bro you need to go to a Milan forum cuz after that statement you're clearly a Torres fan and he's not here atm.
  17. Damn. His signing may prove quite the hurdle in the development of Omeruo/Zouma/Kalas/Christensen. Not likely they'd collectively wait until Cahill and Pique ran past their shelf-lives of 3-4 more years just so the 4 of them could start competing amongst each other for 1 or 2 slots. And between Cahill and Pique there's probably going to be an exorbitant amount of last-ditch slide tackling and attempted blocked-shots as a result of slightly less-than-average marking. At least paired with Terry and Puyol, respectively, it was mitigated for the most part.
