Exactly what i have been saying mate. It is NOT just about the fact that we did not win a trophy; we were very poor this season, we played horrible football, some players didn't even try, we faltered once again in the CL, lost 4 times to Man utd; all this things (and more) imo also contributed to him getting the sack. Anyway i will surely miss him and his epic brow, good luck where-ever Carlo!

I don't count that as a big deal, because like i said before, he was just 1 point away. The falling-out with players might be a problem though

Seriously Van Basten is been wrongly criticized for his "stint" at Ajax imo. I have seen many people label him as average for not getting him into the CL, but he did finish 3rd (which means automatic CL qualification in the premier league) and also they were just 1 point away from 2nd place Twente. Now i'm not saying he is the messiah or i do want him at Chelsea, but come on he is not that bad

The only negative thing here for me is, whenever Grant has become Sporting Director, he always leaves the job to become Coach of that same club... lol

It has always been between Grant and Guus for Arnesen's replacement. Doubt we can get Guus, so obviously next man in line is Grant. About Txiki Begiristain (the former Barca director) I've not heard anything about him joining us since last summer, and honestly don't think that will happen either.
