  1. Maybe, just maybe mate, his style of managing is simply tiring. We can't be replacing 1/2 of the team every 2 years or so. That's just unrealistic. Let's be honest here, we're getting Chelsea'd currently. All those shit games we played in the second part of last season are going the other way this time. Last season there were games which we shouldn't have won and where we got lucky, this time, though, there's no Remy or Hazard to bail us out. Our reliance on Hazard and those lucky bounces we had was just too astronomical to be sustainable. Also, let's not ignore that last year was one of the weakest in terms of overall quality from the big sides. United was in stage #1 of their rebuild, City and Arsenal were constantly injured, and Liverpool and Spurs were their usual selves. Not winning the league title would have been disappointing all things considered. In more than 2 years under Mourinho we have only had one half of a season were we looked dominating - that should be telling. At that point talking about players should stop.
  2. Rebuilding? Wtf We really shouldn't have to rebuild a squad full of players in their primes/nearing their primes. This isn't a washed up 2011/12 Chelsea team, this team won the league last season ffs. The lengths some will go to blame anyone but Mourinho is astonishing. I mean fuck, we're talking about a team that should be at its best currently as the majority of the team has spent 2 years now with the same coach and his system. The deadwood should have been gotten rid of a long time ago. Not to mention that this is the team Mourinho wanted, evidenced by not playing certain players and thus making them leave
  3. Clearly you also know what he had for dinner last night
  4. Ever since that Newcastle game, I've thought to myself "Anything but a win here and Mourinho will definitely be gone" before every single match. Weeks later, I'm in awe as to how he has managed not to get sacked after all those results. It's amazing, really. Including that game in Newcastle we've won just 1(!) out of our last 8 games.
  5. Playing a back line completely inept of chipping in offensively is a huge problem, though.
  6. The good: We are not out yet. The bad: We have to watch 30 more minutes of shit football
  7. Recent? People are mentioning Jose's glory days 10 years ago at Chelsea. Hardly recent.
  8. Cheers for taking off Baba. My masochistic mind really needed more Zouma at RB.
  9. You'd think this is a Liverpool forum judging by all these "remember what he has done for us" posts.
  10. While that 10/37 stat is definitely inflated due to our playing style, we've seen that Costa is bad in the air last season as well, winning only 29% of his headed duels in the PL. A striker that physical and tall shouldn't be losing so many of those duels, no matter what. One can work on headers, positioning and timing when to jump are one of the few things in football that are easily improvable.
  11. And winning about 80% of their league matches over the last 2 years (not including this season's 100% winning record).
  12. I'm not sure were you're getting that from, Tomo. As far as I can tell, though I missed quite a few pages in this thread due to inactivity, almost everyone knows and appreciates what he has achieved with this club.
  13. Anything to get Mourinho sacked. Well done, Matic.
  14. Ah, there it is. Was already wondering why we didn't start the game 0:1.
  15. Good lawd, Fabregas at CM and Zouma at RB
  16. I still fail to see how transfers will change the way we play; except for Messi no player in the world would have that kind of impact. A lot has been said and I don't feel the need to repeat everything, point is, if the coach (whoever that is) doesn't change the way we play there won't be any improvement neither in our play nor in our results.
  17. Well, I'm not surprised seeing statements like those.
  18. No. I call people who think that the current squad shouldn't be changed just because they "like" certain players blinded as Mourinho. If Guardiola came (which I don't think he will, but just for the sake of the argument) I'd be more comfortable in him choosing his players than in Mourinho doing anything significant with the current ones. If we can strengthen the squad why should anyone be "untouchable"? That's my only point.
  19. My honest opinion? Matic and Cesar are the only two of those players I'd ideally want in my starting-11. I'm not a fan of technically below-average CBs so I don't rate Zouma as highly as most people on this site do. Everyone has their preferences and in my team I'm not sure I'd want him as a starter. Willian's okay but then again, is he really the bar that we should set? If we can get someone better than him (and we can) then I'm all for replacing him. And RLC... not sure anyone at this point knows what he's gonna be. If Guardiola wanted a proven world-class player at the expense of RLC it's a no-brainer IMO.
