  1. Clearly he does. Otherwise I'd be expecting a "I want to stay" statement. It's not like we treated him badly and he should not consider returning. This is Chelsea with Mourinho, one of the biggest clubs in the world and he will have had some assurances of playing time. I think some other stuff to factor in is no denial of bid from Benfica. All major media in Portugal claim it is a done deal, Serbian TV the same. Much as it will hurt Benfica to lose him, I think it is inevitable. Would not be at all shocked to see him start v Man Utd
  2. Seen some reports of a Pedro Fonseca (never heard of) claiming we are on stand by for Jackson Martinez and it could happen
  3. Strange to have someone at Cobham if nothing is happening at all. Mind you, its all because they expect a bid for rooney
  4. Wouldnt rule out anything incoming to us.
  5. Mail reckon Jose still wants 1 more striker, an A-list striker. Soon find out how true this story is
  6. Take. With, Pinch. Of. Salt. Rooney or bust. "Managers lie about their squads and being happy with what they have." - said when confirming Willian interest. given Gourlay comment's about 1 maybe 2 more in, I am certain we will be looking. Said to my mate last night, those Mourinho comments seemed spur of the moment, feeling if we had won, he'd of probably said "we never stop looking"
  7. I read that Eto'o goal ratio in russia is still 1 in 2. He scores everywhere he goes, I have no reason to suspect he won't do a job for us
  8. Yep ^ and Spurs learnt why you should be coy as possible. But if Jose said after Eto'o there is no more deals, Id believe him. Very much doubt we will sign 2 strikers
  9. Sky Italia are wank, but Di Marzio seems to be on the ball usually. I'd file Eto'o under "Done"
  10. It is going to be Eto'o. Right now, i am just waiting for the tweet to confirm we have an agreement, probably tomorrow
  11. 60m euros, id guess is about £45-48m. Cavani was £53m and his price was 63m euros
  12. If he is on £250k a week or so as papers claim, he will lose almost £5m id guess. Him and Stretford will know whats at stake
  13. Hmmm, if we had something agreed, then WE walked away, this isnt over, i suspect we will re-evaluate and go back with something new. Unless of course we sign Etoo very soon.
  14. Mourinho's assisant, Faria: "There was a €60m deal agreed for Rooney to sign after yesterday's game, but Man U didn't honor their word
  15. Fucking hell just because he wont hand in a TR doesnt mean he does not want to leave. We have no idea what his agent and him discussed
  16. Yep, interesting see what stretford advises rooney to do
  17. Soon see how badly Rooney really wanted this move. No doubt both he and his agent will see these quotes. Despite my confidence earlier in summer, i think he will stay.
  18. It was more a gentle nudge to Rooney saying "hurry up and decide what you want" He has given 24-48 hrs to make his feelings known
  19. Rooney and RVP will both start IMO. Would still like to see us slap a big bid in tomorrow, just think Eto'o looks nailed on now
  20. Think this will happen. If his agent is in Manchester tonight as reported, this is imminent IMO. Therefore wont be a bid for Rooney made
  21. He will get it. Clubs would not go into a £30m deal without first finding out whether a WP is likely to be given.
  22. One last bid Monday, £40m, if rejected we get someone else in. If Utd do ask for Mata, we just say no, he is our best player. Fair swap would be RVP and Mata, their best for our best Mourinho on whether he'd sell one of his best players to a rival—"Yes. You see it happen in Italy every season without a problem." Sentence worth remembering for rest of this window
