Mirror or mail saying abramovich has ok'd at least three new signings. Going to push for stones plus jose wants a cm and another attacker according to the article
-
Meh think itll take a mammoth bid now, 40m area. Martinez has to have a reason for selling him for the fans, and that kind of money he can use the old "offer was too good to turn down" line
-
Guardian "People ask why we didnt sign players before pre season like last year, it is not because we didn't want to, it just wasnt possible. We are a bit limited right now and I have no doubt that the squad will have a couple more players" - Mourinho
-
I suppose technically youre correct and nothing has changed. "The player is not for sale and thats the end of it" quote when watching seemed more like a "hes not for sale, nothing else has happened" on second look
-
Martinez again said today in his presser that Stones is not for sale and "thats the end of it". Move on then
-
Thats because Gullit was a massive coup. He would have had his pick of Europes elite if he wanted
-
Said it earlier, John Stones isnt a fancy sounding name and he doesnt play for an "elite" club, thats why there is ignorance to his signing.
-
If his name was Juan Stonesio and he played for Real Madrid im sure a lot more people would be up for this move.
-
He may do privately, or already has done. Think thats what made Martinez admit he is "unsettled"
-
3rd bid will be the final one either way IMO. If he is keen, and has maybe informed the club behind the scenes, then a 3rd bid of around 30m could very well be accepted on that basis. If its rejected, i think we will walk away
-
Mirror reckon he can leave for 34m
-
We need 2-3 more. I am not sure whether Jose also agrees but is keeping everything secretive in relation to transfer deals. Or, whether he is refusing to buy as he genuinely believes the same squad can win it again
-
I think Cuadrado might be on his way.
-
Dominic King. Bellend. Sensationalises everything. I notice he didnt include Martinez saying "We have said he isnt for sale, but im not silly enough to say I know what will happen"
-
Dont think Mourinho would bid so close to a game, infuriate them even more that would
-
The words " I an not stupid enough to say I know what will happen" are telling. If I am a manager of a club who are absolutely not selling a player whatever, I would be saying "He's going nowhere, end of. I guarantee it"
-
I think next bid if 30m mark gets him. What martinez means by affected is "head turned"
-
We still look far from ready.
-
1. Believing Jose during a transfer window is crazy 2. His comments this morning have been taken in wrong context
-
Incase some people have seen talksports tweet that Mourinho said the window is closed for Chelsea, he didnt quite say that. http://talksport.com/football/jose-mourinho-arsene-wenger-snub-chelseas-title-defence-transfers-and-more-full-talksport Listen from 5:50 He clearly means he would rather the window close before league starts
-
Didnt Mourinho apparently say after Comm Shield he would like 2 defenders before first game ideally? Baba looks done almost, I could see a massive 3rd bid going in for Stones
-
As long as we have holes in our arses, we wont sign Rose.
-
Martinez wanting to keep him does not mean the deal is dead. He is entitled to want to keep him. Money talks in football though
-
Third bid if made has to be around 30m. Min
-
Didnt say they wont sell him, said they dont need to. The right amount of money hasnt hit their desk
