  1. Call me crazy but I had rather sell JT instead of Alex
  2. We need to emulate real madrid and man utd's approach to buying players. They identify their targets quickly and don't waste time in signing them. The season starts in 36 days and we are yet to make any significant signing.
  3. :goodpost: Post of the millenium. unfortunately some people still view essien as the bison of 4/5 years ago.
  4. Until people realise that not every midfielder can have the longevity of Pavel nedved or seedorf. we would continue to hold on to players that no longer add significant value to the team.
  5. Yet some people oppose to selling him. why keep an aging injury prone player in the team especially when you have a replacement in Ramires ( a box to box midfielder). let me guess, because he use to be the bison (sentimental reasoning)
  6. classic.. I still can't get past his infamous over-sized jacket.
  7. That's hardly convincing. a club like ours should value competency over availability. as exemplified with the AVB appointment.Rafa Benitez and Mark hughes were clubless and readily available for the manager's job yet we forked out £13.3m for a manager under contract in a bid to get the best possible candidate and that's the way it should be.
  8. No one is yet to provide a convincing case for Ortega's appointment. It's a very simple and direct question - Is he the best trainer we could have gotten? and if so, why?
  9. AVB sign this wonderkid will you. It seems we've lost interest in signing him, that would be a real shame
  10. I'm still not convinced his appointment was not motivated by his history with Torres. is he the best personal trainer we could get for the team? funny enough Torres injury record at liverpool was far from impressive so what makes this guy an outstanding candidate for the job. I wonder.
  11. But you got to admit that picture is pretty deceptive.
  12. Our midfield is too rigid and mechanical and in serious need of creativity. only josh and benayoun to an extent are capable of addressing that problem. However. The Israeli is 31 and hasn't played competitive football on a consistent basis for a while now. Therefore his fitness and form is seriously in doubt while Josh on the other hand could not be trusted with that type of responsibility week in week out primarily due to lack of experience. the only logical solution is to buy a proven world class playmaker. That would eliminate the risk of heavily depending on a 31 year old player to anchor play in midfield next season and Josh's development would follow a smooth transition. P.s I fully expect some players to leave this summer. The list could include Zhirkov,Benayoun and possibly essien. That would free up space in the midfield.
  13. That picture must have been photoshopped. kaka is too disciplined and professional to let himself go out of shape like that.
  14. Falcao is that striker when played in the right system. He requires an efficient winger who can consistently deliver good/decent crosses into the box as 90% of his goals last season were headers (currently no striker is better than him in the air) Taking that into account, he would struggle to succeed at Chelsea because we lack quality wingers.
  15. You judge a manager primarily based on result and Grant's record at Chelsea strongly suggests he's a very decent manager indeed. it's just absolutely silly to rubbish or dismiss someone's performance based on sentimental reasons (he's not charismatic, he has an over bloated jaw line and other sentimental bullshit). The same way some half witted pundits dismissed guardiola's exceptional performance at barca on having the benefit of a great team. get some perspective guys.
  16. Nothing surprises me anymore. don't be surprised if man utd's bebe is valued at £40m next season. shit is getting outta control.
  17. £25m for nasri is overpriced? what would you call £50m for pastore who isn't any better than the Frenchman.
  18. Not even well renowned mugs like real madrid, man city and us would pay £50m for pastore. Palermo's president is delusional and has lost touch with reality
  19. All the sources clearly cited Torres as the major reason for the new personal trainers appointment.
  20. Eto'o, David villa, Henry, RVN to name a few didn't require the assistance of a personal trainer in order to "score many many goals" in their prime. season after season. I am still struggling to come to terms with the lack of creativity argument cited for his inability to even get the fundamentals of football, such as ball control, shooting and off and on the ball movement, right last season now THIS. What's next,. . .Human growth hormone replacement surgery and a new brain transplant to help him rediscover his form
  21. nah Mexican hookers serve that purpose better What's more ridiculous is the fact that some posters are actually cosigning with the decision.
  22. Yeah and while we are at it. we should also provide him with his own personal chef, nanny, dish washer, bathroom cleaner and of-course a personal maid whose specific duties involves wiping his ass and tying his shoe laces..
  23. As a centre back, david is yet to earn my confidence. Is he a technically gifted player with great composure, strength and adventurous -YES. But is he a reliable centre back who possesses great tactical and positional awareness, discipline, anticipation and determination (all essential attributes of a great defender)-NO.
