  1. Looks like confirmation as well that he wants Oscar to be a midfielder in the center of the pitch rather than in an advanced position. What I've been crying out to see for a couple of years.
  2. Lol! Was it made of solid gold? £90!? Anyways, I think Higuain will be great there initially but they'll regret spending such a ridiculous amount on him in a couple of years.
  3. Wait, you guys have QVC in the UK?!
  4. Ludicrous amount for him. Surely they won't now sell their next most imprortant player to us? Their fans would riot.
  5. Di Marzio reporting that Juventus have deposited the €90m to trigger Higuain's release clause. That can't be good for our pursuit of Koulibaly...
  6. I must have watched a different Koulibaly in the videos I've seen of him. The exact opposite of a "lump who lumps the ball." He's a physical and athletic monster and is extremely comfortable on the ball. Much better than anyone in our squad now. He'd instantly take our defense to the next level. I really, really hope we can negotiate with Napoli this week and get this done. Don't even care what crazy price we pay. He's too important not to get. He's the dominant CB we need so let's hope we don't walk away and settle for a lesser player. He should be priority #1.
  7. Right, he's just big boned. Husky.
  8. Maybe Eden will start the season lean and cut now with that workout! No more chubby Hazard to open the season. He can look like Willian rather than Götze.
  9. Nothing from Sky Zimbabwe yet? Or Sky Mongolia? Wake me when that happens...
  10. Yep. We cannot afford to miss out on him at this point. Player wants to come, we want him, get it done. John Stones will cost around £50m and City will gladly pay it because he's a player they really want. Koulibaly is better than Stones so we should expect to pay big. I hope we do. He would immedietly improve our team drastically.
  11. Chicharito was a regular for them even if he didn't start. Not really comparable. It seemed like we went months without even seeing Remy. He may as well have not been here.
  12. I think he'd be another Remy. Looked very decent for a small team but would come here and never get a look in. A waste of a squad place.
  13. Heart skipped a beat when I saw this thread blowing up. Thank goodness it was for no reason. This is the sort of signing that got us in the position we're in now. Buying mediocre players instead of quality and bloating the squad with deadwood.
  14. Imagine if, even after he says he'd be interested in coming here, he ends up at Everton because we won't pay the money.
  15. Surely those quotes are only going to piss De Laurentiis off and raise the price even more. He'll probably demand £60m for him now.
  16. It's really astonishing that so many people believed the Mahrez/Adidas shirt thing. Don't think we have ever been interested in him, unfortunately. The club probably feel we're already set in that area.
  17. The salt, the tears, the devastation if he somehow ended up here rather than Arsenal. The stuff dreams are made of... I don't know what I'd give to see it happen.
  18. With the sheer amount of change to every other big club I think them having essentially the same group and manager is an advantage. Almost all of their players are settled and understand the "Arsenal way." Not to say they'd be favorites, but they'll have their best team in over a decade if they can add Mahrez.
  19. This seems like such a lost cause by now. Strange that some of these rags are still linking us to him. His owner, his manager, and even Morata himself have basically put the nail in the cauffin on this, unfortunately.
  20. Guess we better resign ourselves to seeing Mr. Cement Boots Ivanovic and Mr. Moonwalker Cahill for another season, lads! And JT, bless him, getting caught out of position and helplessly destroyed for pace on the counter. I just cringe at the thought of those things with the strength of the PL this season. Even the small teams have very dangerous players who can slaughter our current defense.
  21. Liverpool don't make good signings. Should being the operative word there. I can't see £50m Sterling being merely a squad player. Nolito I think may be a starter up front with Agüero. Youre right, though, they both could use him as an upgrade. If they sell to accommodate him. But then again, you can say the same about us. We sell Cuadrado and Pedro and suddenly we have a place for him.
  22. Sterling, De Bruyne, Silva, Nolito, Nasri...wtf would City need with Mahrez? Likewise Real Madrid who already struggle to fit in the likes of James and Isco. Honestly, I'm surprised Arsenal are even after him and aren't instead throwing everything at a world class striker. They have Walcott, Ox, and sometimes Ramsey who play on the right. Are they going to sell a couple of those? I can't see it. Not to mention they have that kid Iwobi whose place would be affected by signing another attacking mid. Man, I hope this doesn't happen. I like seeing Arsenal fans suffer. Their supporters are by far the worst on the internet whenever they make good signings.
  23. We should just go and get Mustafi & Jonas Hector. They could both slot straight in to the team and are perfect players for the Conte system. Great on the ball and great going forward. Much easier to sign I would imagine coming from smaller, less rich clubs.
  24. Oh, for FUCK sake! Should've signed him ages ago!
