  1. Having just watched a compilation on YouTube of Koulibaly from this season he does still look like a beast. But it also looks like he plays in the same exact central CB position that Thiago Silva does. We need left and right sided CB’s.
  2. We conceded 4 goals to this shower of shit. Literally handed them all of them on a plate… 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
  3. We wanted a draw here right? So Spuds winning isn’t great?
  4. I haven’t heard Koulibaly’s name in like 2 years. I thought he had long faded from his top class best? He’s also just about to turn 31 in a months time. Seems like the exact opposite sort of player we would sign. Only reason we signed Silva despite his age was because of his familiarity with Tuchel and the fact that he was free.
  5. I wasn’t saying it in a negative way. I meant that they’re all incredibly excited. Get the feeling that United are going to be spending ludicrous money this summer. So I hope our targets and theirs are different because they’ll probably blow any offers we make out of the water. They’ll be desperate to not get left behind and will want to give ten Hag everything he needs to hit the ground running. After they get De Jong I’d imagine they’ll also target another midfielder. De Jong to replace Pogba and a proper, young DM to replace Matic. If they go head to head with us for either Rice or Tchouameni we could be in trouble.
  6. United fans are losing their minds because apparently some super reliable source says they’re getting Frenkie De Jong for €80m.
  7. I’m on my knees, Chelsea. Kill this game within the first 10 minutes of the 2nd half. 🙏🏼 🙏🏼🙏🏼 With the dreadful luck and mistakes this season I can’t take another one. If this stays at 0-1 until the late stages you just know a Christensen or Chalobah slip when they’re the last man will allow some cunt who hasn’t score in 40 appearances to steal one.
  8. Everything but the final ball is there. So frustrating. Maybe Ziyech time for Pulisic? CP isn’t going to be of much use against a parked bus.
  9. Cannot allow this to get nervy and have the crowd get into it thinking they can score.
  10. Lukaku looks as sharp and dangerous as he did initially this season. We keep feeding him and he will score here.
  11. At 0-1, all it takes is a single fluke set pice or corner for disaster. We NEED to score again to be comfortable.
  12. That’s an ankle breaking tackle, fucking hell. No let off now. Don’t think we have this win like Arse did last weekend. Have to score again.
  13. Better than the alternative which is Sarr or someone like Saul playing out of position. At least Alonso will occasionally have a decent attacking game. Azpi on the other hand is done so I’m glad he’s been benched.
  14. This is the sort of opponent that Lukaku should thrive against. Leeds are normally wide open at the back and they concede goals for fun. If we conspire to give away some Charity FC goals and lose this I may resort to self harm…
  15. Think Grealish will turn out well. Expect him to be much better to start next season.
  16. Oh, don’t get me wrong. They have to spend a fuck ton of cash to buy all their players but their success rate makes our look terrible. They have a couple here and there that don’t pan out but for the most part they turn into stars. Meanwhile, it feels like we hit on 1 in every 5 signings we make. We seriously haven’t got lucky with any of our biggest buys and that’s insane. Torres, Lukaku, Kepa, Werner. Even Havertz hasn’t lived up to his price tag yet. City buy Ederson for £50m and he becomes the best keeper in the world. They buy Dias for £60m and he becomes world class. They buy Walker for £50m and he becomes world class. De Bruyne the same. Mahrez the same. Cancelo the same. Rodri the same. And on and on… Pretty much every expensive signing they make lives up to the billing. And the ones that fail to don’t hamstring them like they do here.
  17. As I’ve said before, City’s attack is already ridiculous so it’s hard to feel really scared about them adding Haaland. They already score more than anyone. Him going there is better than Liverpool or United getting him and genuinely taking them up a huge level. Still, it’s extremely embarrassing how much better run City are than us. Their recruitment makes our look amateurish.
  18. While I would be a bit weary about a player like Nkunku coming from Leipzig after we bought Werner, they’re a totally different profile of player. Whereas Timo is basically a one trick pony (just try to beat defender with raw pace) Nkunku is extremely gifted with the ball and can slice through defenses in many different ways. He really reminds me of Wilf Zaha on the ball. His running style, his dribbling style, and how he can dance through an entire team with the ball at his feet. He’s Zaha but with extraordinary end product. Would be a great signing for any PL club. Honestly, we should be glad that Liverpool just bought Diaz because Nkunku is the prototypical Klopp attacker and he’d be unstoppable there just like their other forwards.
  19. I don’t think we’d take Maguire on a free if United drove him to the Bridge themselves.
  20. Possibly. We’d have such a narrow forward line with he, Havertz, and Mount who is always going to start. We’d be depending solely on the wingbacks for width. Which is fine assuming RJ and Chilly stay fit all season but as we’ve seen that’s highly unlikely.
  21. Think Jesus would be a great option to have in the squad here just like he was at City. But that’s also probably why he wouldn’t choose us over Arse. He walks right into the first XI there and gets to be the main man for the first time in his PL career. Sterling is tricky. In form he’s amazing but he’s so hot and cold.
  22. Should we be looking at some of the City players that could leave? Arse are being linked with both Jesus and Sterling. Both could be useful here, no?
  23. Richarlison is quite possibly the player I despise most in all of football along with Bruno Fernandes. If we ever signed him I don’t know what I’d do… 🤢🤢🤢
  24. Yes, projects. And that’s not about age. Both are still raw and are playing in a farmers league whereas Rice has been a PL regular for a while now. He is essentially the finished product already. And for me Premier League proven absolutely matters for certain positions on the pitch. It’s particularly beneficial for a midfielder. It is not a 100% guarantee of success in every case but Rice for me is as close to that as possible. Unlike Grealish who was PL proven and cost £100m, Rice won’t have nearly the same sort of burden on his shoulders. Grealish has the constant pressure of having to score and create. Rice just has to continue to do the simple things he is doing now. Screen the defense, break up play brilliantly, and carry the ball forward from deep when necessary. Having been in the league for years Rice will know exactly how to handle it.
  25. Both of them are projects, though. They are super talents, yes, but still need time to grow. Rice is already top class. And most importantly he wouldn’t need any time at all to adjust to the pace and physicality of the Premier League. Rice is literally a guy you can plug in and forget about and he hits the ground running with ease. The other two could take months to acclimate like we saw with Havertz, Werner, Ziyech etc. And the latter two still never adjusted. We need to have a summer where we go after players who we know will be “safe.”
