We’ve got to have our own recruitment super dialed in and spot on this summer. Because I think both Spuds and United will be having their biggest summers ever and both will be much better next season with top managers in position.
-
Only downside here is that Spuds will be one hell of a dangerous team if Levy allows Conte to sign 3-4 more of his players. They will be MUCH more dangerous in the CL than Arse would’ve been as well. So are small part of me would rather have had Arse finish 4th because so long as they have Arteta in charge they ain’t doing any serious damage. Conte will be a problem.
-
Oh, don’t get me wrong, he’d score plenty. But the grind and slog of a 60 game season in England at this stage of his career seems silly. He has already done it all. If I were him I’d have a nice couple of years in sunny Spain.
-
Every week it seems like loads of doom and gloom stories come out about how the deal is in danger. Then by the end of the week they get debunked and they say a deal is close. FFS, can we just get this shit over with?
-
Their ownership group is probably offering him hundreds of millions under the table in addition to his mega salary so I wouldn’t be shocked if he stayed. He’d be an idiot to waste his prime years in a league nobody cares about and continue to choke in the CL.
-
Softest Chelsea player I’ve ever seen. Not only will I not be bothered when he’s gone, I’ll be glad. If we can replace him with Koundé in that RCB position it’s a considerable upgrade if for no other reason than he isn’t a total pussy like AC.
-
Everton 😂😂😂 Well, at least they may have to try to win against Arse on the final day if they fuck up again.
-
Dybala has apparently confirmed he’s officially leaving Juve. Should we try?
-
West Ham are a massive pain in the ass to deal with so it’s probably impossible to sign any of their better players whilst they’re on long contracts. Both Rice and Bowen are surely off out of the question, unfortunately.
-
Really is insane that Spuds are so close to us now. We’ve been vastly superior in every way all season long and yet they could potentially finish above us if we choke. So many ridiculous draws against teams we were so much better than.
-
Think Spuds will pip Arse to top 4. They’ll batter Norwich in their final game. Can honestly see Arse losing both their remaining games.
-
Despite his injury problems these days he’s still far too good for us to allow him to go to a side we’ll be competitive for top 4 with next year. He would make United’s midfield considerably better. If we let him go it should only be to somewhere like PSG.
-
I just don’t get how he can score some of the most difficult looking technical goals but then also miss easy chance after easy chance. There are times when he looks like our best attacking player and other times where you forget he’s on the pitch. Yesterday he looked more dangerous than both Salah and Mané but had the composure of a 17 year old making his debut in front of goal. Really don’t know what we should do with him this summer. If he leaves I wouldn’t be devastated but if he stays I would t mind. But we absolutely cannot go into next season with CP, Werner, CHO, and Ziyech as our wide options and expect to get near City and Liverpool.
-
Obviously that’s what I meant. He looked finished at the end of his Arse stay. Then goes to Barca and looks solid again. Lewa can probably go there and score 30 league goals next season.
-
An older striker like Lewa who has accomplished everything choosing to come to the most difficult league? Can’t imagine him wanting that. Can go chill in Barcelona and score a bucket load against more farmers like he has in Germany for another couple of seasons. Look at what Auba has done there compared to how horrendous he was at Arse.
-
If we could by some miracle sell both Werner and Lukaku this summer and sign replacements for both we could take that next step. But I just can’t see who would take either of them for the money we’d be looking for.
-
Us repeatedly getting attackers into super dangerous positions and then having them choke on the finish will hopefully assure that Tuchel doesn’t allow us to go into next season without a couple of upgrades.
-
Morale should be super high now with us needing 1 point from these last two matches.🙄🙄🙄 The triple gut lunch of losing to Liverpool in another final, doing so on pens again, AND keeping their quadruple hopes alive is just awful. The positive that can be taken from all these matches against them this season, though, is that we can 100% go toe to toe with some of the best sides in the world. We are just a few signings away. Lastly, as I’ve said for ages now Azpi is completely washed now. He absolutely MUST be allowed to leave this summer. Let him sail off into the sunset and live the easy life in Barca. He is totally a busted flush now and it’s sad as hell to watch.
-
So literally exactly as I feared. They’re targeting Chalobah every time. Just smack a long diagonal to Diaz over and over and he can’t deal with him. Embarrassing that this is how we’ve turned up to a huge final. Like an overawed Championship side.
-
Incredibly annoying that the FA Cup rights here in America are with ESPN and are therefor paywalled behind their stupid fucking subscription service that nobody uses. So now I have to watch a terrible, unreliable stream. 😒
-
You’ve got to assume that much of Liverpool’s attacking game plan will be to isolate Diaz on Chalobah as often as possible. Force him to panic and make mistakes. Same thing he did in the last game against us. I just hope we don’t allow them to blitz us at the start and we’re just immediately facing wave after wave of attack.
-
Don’t tell me Christensen is injured or sick again…. Havertz not even being an option off the bench today is a big blow. Not really a single game changing attacker who you’d trust on our bench today. 😩
-
Good as Rom has been these last couple of games I’m torn on whether he should start this. Logic would say you ride the in form player, but the likes of VVD and Matip are at their best against big, powerful strikers. The main reason Lukaku has been so effective these last games is because he has been able to bully the CB’s. He pins them and is able to receive the ball at his feet, hold it up, and then pass it off. Those are the types of situations that VVD is nearly unstoppable in. Going for a highly mobile, super quick forward line might be best. Werner on one flank and Mount towards the other trying to force Trent and Robertson back with Havertz’s movement up top. My biggest fear by far is that Tuchel will opt for the Azpi as the wingback with James as the RCB shit again. If we do that it’s going to be awful to watch.
-
True. He does indeed still appear to be lightning quick and super athletic despite being nearly 34. Doesn’t look to have lost a step. If the idea is to gradually ease Chilly back into the team at the start of next season then Perisić makes sense. He’s certainly a colossal upgrade over Alonso or playing Pulisic/CHO there.
-
Perisić would’ve been very exciting 5 years ago. Very strange signing now, though.
