  1. Well thank god this deal is finally done and dusted. Can't wait to see him in action for Chelsea now and see what he can really offer us.
  2. f**k me, this has to be the most dragged out transfer since it was seemingly all agreed!!!! Must be one hell of a strict medical they are putting him through.
  3. No, but the fact the club have officially tabled a bid means we certainly WANT to buy the player.
  4. Woods will be fit. Last interview i saw with him he said he wanted to get some games under his belt and then look to get out on loan. Has had a very rough run of things with injuries, not sure he can come back from it as good as he was.
  5. It is possible Ramires could be on the bench, but having not trained with the team i would have thought he would more likely go with Kakuta or McEachran on the bench for tommorow.
  6. But if the 2 clubs are already negotiating then the selling club already know of the interest. Just seems like pointless games to me. Such a lack of honesty in the game these days, people are too afraid to say what they actually feel or want.
  7. Are asking for Jeffrey Bruma to be as good NOW as David Luiz? 3 World class centre backs is enough, and if we didn't relsease Carvalho then we would never have been able to bring Bruma through.
  8. Lol, managers are always so cagey when it comes to signing players. Never understand it myself, what harm would it do for Carlo to actually say "we would love to sign Neymar and are in negotiations"?? Not exactly going to scuper the deal is it.
  9. No real suprise we are not in for Luiz, we don't need him!!!!
  10. I am feeling quietly confident this season, the only team to truly improve their squad is Man City and i don't think they will compete for top honours this season. Clearing out some of the older players on higher wages was long overdue and we are looking to build something new with Ramires coming in and possibly Neymar not to mention the inclusion of some our own young blood. I think we can look forward to a positive season.
  11. Indeed, there is no way he will play Saturday! He will probably be presented to the crowd or something. We have no urgent desire to chuck him in either, with Mikel, Essien, Lampard and Benayoun all fit we don't need to rush him in the team.
  12. There is a gambling element to this deal for sure, firstly will the player live up to his hype? Will he settle in another country? But these young talented Brazilians have to make their name somewhere and this time i would love it to be Chelsea.
  13. Excellent analysis there FB Does the poor track record of Brazilians settling at English clubs still apply? Brazilians seem to be settling into English football much better in recent times and many are doing well. We have/had our own in Alex and Belletti. The fact is this kid looks special, and he seems keen to sign for us. Lets not miss out on a chance to have probably the best young brazilian talent on our books.
  14. It's alright, we can always make him get a haircut.......... I would seriously pay the buy out clause if it came to it.... it's about time we bagged ourselves a player like this, missing out on Robinho and Pato in particular when moving from Brazil shows that it would worth the money, i am sure that if we could go back we would quite happily of paid more for those 2 players. If we were seriously looking to sign Pato it would have cost £40m+
  15. Lol , you know it..... This has really dragged out though, i think there will a huge collective sigh of relief from Chelsea fans once it is formally announced.
  16. Being reported in the Sun also. I cannot believe that this is true though, not even Man City would go to such extremes!!! Especially considering they are not exactly short of forwards. Ballotelli seems to be on the verge of a done deal now too.
  17. Lol, you have to laugh at Santos really. Huffing and puffing to make themselves look like they are putting up a fight to their fans...... Santos have no intention of filing a complaint to FIFA, especially as we have done nothing wrong to be punished for. All they are doing is trying to squeeze the most out of us possible.
  18. Will be such a relief to see this one finally done and dusted.
  19. Has struggled with injury, suprised to hear he was available on a free though. Work permit issues been the reason why we havn't brought him in so not sure how a deal will be agreed.
  20. Would be a nice helpful nudge in the right direction if true...
  21. Same reports with a different spin on it then..... nothing new to add from that article. Am struggling to not let myself get too excited incase this deal goes the same way as Robinho but i can't help it, this would be an amazing signing if we pull it off
  22. It would appear that yes the club have given up on him. Prefer the foreign youngsters to the English ones it would seem. Can't see that Matic offers more than Jack Cork would myself. Real shame to see us shipping 2 Engand U21 internations out on loan to the Championship with a third England U21 international expected to follow on loan or move for good.
  23. Burnley Football Club are delighted to announce that Jack Cork is set to return to the club on a season-long loan from Chelsea. The midfielder signed off from his temporary spell at Turf Moor with his first Premier League goal in the stunning comeback win against Tottenham on the final day of the campaign. The 21-year-old was an outstanding success in his four-month stay as a Claret, making 11 appearances, with his influence on the field matched by his popularity in the dressing room. An England under-21 International, Cork has had previous loan spells with Coventry, Scunthorpe, Southampton and Bournemouth, clocking up over 100 league appearances Source: Chelsea FC
  24. Trying not to get too excited about this one incase it doesn't, but it would be one hell of a signing for the club..........
