Who Do You Want To Be The Next Manager?

There are some things you should just not joke about.... THAT is one of them It is looking more and more likely going to be a Euro manager, and as Hiddink has on several occasions said no, then it looks like Scolari. Unless my conspiracy theory is right and we will appoint someone random at the weekend after season ticket renewals -

I don't think it is that suprising. I think most people would be happy with Hiddink would prefer to see others given the chance ahead of him. The big question at the moment is: are we still looking at potential managers? Or have we already decided. If we are to believe CFC, we have no approached any club for their manager, nor have we reached an agreement with any manager! So what does this mean? Who are our REAL targets? When are we going start approaching people? At the moment we are looking like a right bunch of clowns with the way this is happening. I don't think that is Necessarily the case but lack of any noise from the club does not make things better. -
Carlo against the Spuds for me. Cracking save.

Well the stories today are saying that Spalletti has turned us down! Nothing to really confirm if that story is true though as there are no quotes whatsoever. But it is no draggin on more and more. Are we ever going to get a new manager? And who the hell is it going to be? -
Fantastic news to hear that Essien wants to stay. This is exactly what we want to be hearing.

Yup, Spalletti is an interesting choice thats for sure. Rijkaard or Spalletti over Scolari or Mancini.................. f**k knows what is really going on though, we will probably end up doing something really silly!! -

Why mention Martin O'Neil? You will get everyone worried!!!! The longer it goes on the more likely it is that we are getting Scolari or even Hiddink, because those are the only ones we will have to wait for because of the Euros. -

Something about Mancini that i just don't fancy! Rijkaard Spalletti Scolari Mancini Seems to be down to these 4 now! With Deschamps and Hiddink with outside chances. -
Everyone takes us for mugs in the transfer market: AC Milan: "No you can't have Carlo Ancelotti..... actually while you are on the phone we want Drogba and Sheva, and before you ask you can't have Kaka! Plus we want them for free and we want you to pay their wages!" now be nice and bend over........ The media are building up the summer Chelsea hate campaign. We can't sign a new manager and every player wants to leave, plus no-one wants to sign for us.

You don't want Spalletti but you do want Zico? Spalletti has taken Roma who are in a lot of debt to runners up of the league and picked up a few cups and had some good runs in the CL. He is also liked because he encourages attacking football..... to say he is not good enough on the back of 1 result against united is extremely harsh. -

The main problem for me is that we have not interviewed or approached anyone yet! If we were seriously interviewing candidates then fine, but we seem to be doing absolutely nothing other than seeing managers move to other clubs or hitting closed doors with ones we do seem to want! -

Well i am hoping at the moment that it is Rijkaard and that we have not announed it yet so that he can have some time off before getting involved again. Rijkaard is the one talked about the least at the moment, but always stayed near the favorites.. No approaches, no interviews.... seems very strange unless it has already been done. -

EskWeston replied to EskWeston's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Well the club themselves have said that they have no agreement with any manager or any club/federation. If it is someone not tied to a club as that statement can imply then why have we not announced it? If we are still looking at candidates, why is it taking so long? The sacking of Ten Cate would suggest that the club has spoken to potential manager(s) and that he was not someone they wanted to keep. So again, why the delay? There are a lot of things that are not adding up in this chase for a manager and a lot of things that are making us look rather silly. -

Well thats Hughes definately off the list then!! The names keep falling and still no outstanding candidate for the job! I definately hope it is Rijkaard now......... -
Big Brother is just utter cack these days!!! The freaks get weirder every single year, absolutely no interest in it whatsover.
-
Yup, Cole has been outstanding this season. Would be extremely hard to replace him. Maybe we could offer Jose a "Chelsea bundle special": Sidwell, Ben Haim, Pizarro, Malouda, SWP and Belletti all for a one of special - £30m

No-one has a bloody clue what is happening. And at times it is looking like the board don't have a clue either!!! Although it is interesting that the Hughes to City thing has gone quiet, it was widely expected that he would join City this morning. -
I agree. Although the press are claiming that Ashley Cole is the main target of Jose's... i doubt anyone but Drogba would go there top be honest.
-
Yup, for some reason moving the island means you get moved yourself. It was interesting that it linked up to the episode a couple of weeks before when Ben appeared in the desert and then went looking for Sayid, like it had been planned! He also moved in time because sayid was already off the island for a while by the time Ben Appeared in the desert.

So who is left? We have lost out on Romans apparent favorite. We are today about to lose out on the fans favorite. So where does that leave us? Rijkaard - No one seems to know if Rijkaard is going to take a year out or return to management. He is till somewhat in the frame, if not being mentioned at all. Scolari - Said he will not decide anything until after the Euros, so if we do want to go for him, then are waiting until after them and then there is no gurantee he will take the job! Mancini - Gone very quiet on him, it seems that compensation from Inter would hold up any appointment of Mancini. Also not one of the most popular choices. Spaletti - A new name on the block out of no-where this morning. Not sure if there is any truth in it though. If we are to read anything into the CFC statement it could be said that it looks like either Rijkaard or Mancini are the target as neither of them have a club that need to be approached.
