but ryan is CLEARLY not good enough for us. just like MOSES is "clearly not good enough for us" (someone said this exact line right after moses put in a 10/10 performance at the etihad. LOL)
-
fair enough on defender but he did not ask for a CM. he asked for POGBA, the most sought after entity in football now a days. there were CMs like vidal/moutinho/schneiderlien/bastian who would have suited us and made us a much much balanced team. also, did he ask for a RB? he sold luis and bertrand to play azpi. he bought a 21 mil baba who now he deems to be somehow even a worse option than the worst player in the PL currently. we still have options in the CM department who are far better than cesc defensively and in most aspects of football except for quarter backish long passes like rambo and RLC, how many PL games have those 2 started in the mid? so yes, lets all blame jose.
-
arsenal fans say the same. that "they were on top". how many chances did we create? one. from that amazing cesc ball to pedro. thats it. arsenal had the best chance of the game (ramsey) and they would have had another 5 if walcott could time his runs. so we were not "om top". remove the blue goggles and see the reality. we were shit defensively in the swansea game too, we were shit defensively against newcastle. so thats 2 out 3 PL games that oscar plays and apparently improves us or "gives balance". a myth. what we need is to shift back to a proper 4-3-3 like against walsall.
-
tel aviv and walsall are way way way below our level. arsenal game was a refreeing fiasco. the performance of yesterday and the performance against everton, palace, city was no different.
-
JT was not going to stop the play there and tell zouma his mistake. that is for the training ground. he is 20, he will make some mistakes if he is playing with JT or with maldini.
-
people even said that we won against tel aviv cos oscar was back.
-
the worse thing is that if someone like oscar/cesc had done what he did today, there would have been 10 pages worth of praises going on. but since its "only ramires", nothing.
-
or turning over possession at the slightest hint of pressure.
-
i have told u and several others exactly why i dont think so. as for control, arsenal had the best oppurtunity (ramsey shot/pass), plus if theo had been a bit better, he would have had some good oppurtunities to score on the counter. the control was given not taken. arsenal planned on sitting back and get behind our defence.
-
more than the current situation? i honestly dont think so. then there is the point of having better control of the game and the mid. specially with someone like mata down the center. and the fact that chances would be created in actual plays rather than by a quarter backish long pass once a game. i remember having a hazard-mata-oscar partnership ahead of 2 of mikel, rambo, lamps and we still looked miles better defensively and 1000 times better in attack than we currently do.
-
why is it a shame? how is it that every person who knows the least bit about football can see that iva needs to be dropped ASAP. or that cesc-matic pivot does not work, yet jose can not? huh? why is he still starting them? and dont say we dont have any replacements. RLC, rambo, mikel for cesc. zouma, baba for iva - jose himself said in one of his interviews that zouma is important and that he can play CB/DM/RB. look at what that kid did today. a 20 year old left back, playing as a right back and making his PL debut, OWNED pedro. you dont have to be a big name to do a job. jose's allegiance is sadly with some "names". not with the football club. any decent manager who had the club's interest at heart would have made those changes after the etihad game itself.

8 points in 7 games - acceptable 15th league position - acceptable winning/losing/drawing - acceptable playing the same under-performing players match after match just for favouritism/stubborn/ego - unacceptable.
-
yup, fuck everyone who says he should be sacked. on the other hand, we should keep putting iva and cesc on the pitch match after match and play the same formation and just hope for the ref to give a red card to 2 players, right?
-
true. tell that to the people here.
-
some of the comments here after the city loss are hilarious.
-
atleast people can change their chanting from "boring boring chelsea" to "shitty shitty chelsea".
-
why now? this should have been the concern at WBA when iva and cesc were not dropped. the writing was on the wall. people just refused to read it.
-
exactly. or even KDB. we could have kept either of them and turned oscar in a CM. i mean atleast mata can keep the ball when being pressed. how the hell do u play for barcelona and not learn how to shield the fucking ball? unbelievable. one of the most over-hyped players i have ever seen. whats worse is that, 3 months down the road, when people will be discussing this "phase" of ours, he will be our "only threat". people will watch the highlights. say look at the ball he played to pedro against arsenal or against newcastle. the fact that his overall performances and limitations makes us so poor will be forgotten.
-
outrageous. cesc is the only one who could have played the way he did against 9 men. you know nothing, billy!!!!
-
if only. if only we had bought rakitic instead of him. i said it at that time and i will continue saying this. what actually baffles me is the fact that he is probably the most un-jose-like CM that could possibly exist in the world. shit in defence. shit attitude. no balls. compare it to some of the midfielders mourinho had. i mean why this guy?
-
but who will "control the midfield" against 9 men then?
-
if i see iva or cesc in the starting 11, i will intentionally miss a chelsea match in god knows how many years. it wont be because we will lose, i have seen as bad times in 10-11/11-12/12-13, but it would be because none of those losses/poor performances were the design of one man's stubborness and ego
-
can you honestly tell me that the players in the first half had any desire? and even if we have been found out, whose fault is it? jose. for not changing the way we play and repeating playing iva as a RB and cesc in a 2 man mid.
-
mate, lets look in the right direction. we are 4 points off the drop zone.
