matic played a "big" match in this weekend against porto. he is match fit, so dont see why he cant start against utd.

half way point of the transfer window, i would say we have done well. sold kdb for 16mil which will go up to 20mil. sold kakuta (hopefully) as a makeshift for the matic deal. now with matic in the squad, and mvg and lamps coming back from their injury, we have 5 good options for CMs. hopefully we can get essien off our books as well. ins - matic outs - kdb, kakuta, essien.

did i miss something? nothing in the news that he signed, so what happened in the 2 hours that i was not on here.

as much as it hurts, it still does not change the fact that among the 3 stooges, torres is our best bet (definitely for the united game). the other 2 options are BA - has not played a professional match for 2 or 3 weeks now. infact i really dont remember when he started his last game for us. match un-fit. Etoo - has been disastorous so far. his workrate is definitely better than torres' but i think his finishing is worse (if thats possible). has lost his pace, his hold up play is worse than torres', and without ivanovic, i doubt we would retain any balls from goal kicks (but to be fair, dont think torres will fair any better against vidic). compared to these 2, torres has been average. has been on the score sheet for the last 2 consecutive matches. has looked confident when running at the defenders and that might be important playing against defenders as slow as evans and vidic. so atleast for the united match, its torres for me.

nah... dont think he can even make it on the bench here. like i said, simply takes up a "non-homegrown player" spot.

i think he can still play a role with us. to be honest, i cant see mata playing for us next season, and with the likes of oscar, willian, hazard, schurrle, we already have 4 good AMs. moses can fill the boots of the 5th AM with someone like piazon/traore (a youth player) filling up the spot for the 6th AM. no point in selling moses for 10mil and then buying some1 for the 5th AM spot for 15 mil. (all this is only if mata is unwilling to take a squad role). also we have the likes of marin, kakuta etc to be offloaded before we get to moses.

we bought him for 5mil right? so anything above 5 mil is fine with me, just please no more loan spells and definitely not keeping him as a squad player here and eating up a spot for players like piazon/traore. just get him off the books.
