The lomger this drags, the more we are likely to be stuck with schurrle and salah and not getting a decent replacement in case we do sell them.

he has played as a RW all his neecastle career and inspite of being a CM, he has done a pretty good job there.

Good player. Light years better than salah. But he improves our bench, I think we need to improve our first team RW option.

we spent in excess of 80mil this summer (32 costa, 30 cesc, 17 luis, 10 remy). infact we have spent around 90mil pounds. so i dont think FFP will stop us in any way to buy pogba if we really want him. right now all we need to be "perfect" is to add a CM like pogba. we have shown to be a bit circumspect defensively. also, we will be making a lot of money buy selling players we dont need next summer. salah+schurrle (atleast 25mil), cech (10mil), bertrand (8mil), moses+marin+kakuta+mikel=15mil. this itself is in excess of 55mil. we have other fringe players like thorgan, piazon, romeu, mvg who we can sell too. for me, currently, the priority has to be a CM and a CB. we can give zouma a proper run in before splashing money on a CB but a CM like pogba however costly should be a must.

from being one of the sure shot starters, he has gone to be someone who is playing as much as salah and schurrle. against big teams he is a MUST. his energy, workrate, consistent fouling (to disturb the tempo) is absolutely ESSENTIAL. he needs to be on the pitch when we are playing a big game and we need legs on the pitch.

either this or atleast give zouma a proper chance. he has been very good everytime he has played. yes, the teams he has played against have been "average" or in dead rubbers. buts its definitely the time to throw him in the deep end of the pool and see if he swims.

true, but that one mistake was costly and that mistake has been made by him time and again. i think that was the only time where sterling was allowed to run directly at him and it resulted in a goal. not to say that the goal was completely his mistake. the way matic and mikel were sleep walking was a thing of beauty, but GC should be defending that.

is he on drugs or something? started the match well and made that awesome sliding interception to deny sterling going thru. but anytime he came 1v1 against sterling he got OWNED. very very poor.
