It was the players that achieved what they did last season, we deserved to be champions of europe and we would of been if not for a bit of bad luck. the players believed in themselves and it got us so close, Avram picked up a nice sum of money for doing fuck all

These games were just building us up, they're morale boosting for the players, especially the 7-0 win. & i enjoyed watching it as well. The real tests will come in the next pre season games and then we will be ready for Portsmouth. Satisfied with the performance today it was a clean sheet and a couple of goals. I'm hoping this will boost Anelka's confidence and be the start of a good season for him. Good to see Bridge and Joey Cole starting. Bring on the next game
