Though maybe in those two years we'd have better forwards to choose from, because at the moment CFC are in a situation where we have to spend big to sign a renown forward player and the clubs know it. I do get your point but Ibra is a winner and it would give us options in the future.
-
what if someone supports the club for it's success but after it fades stops?
-
You've become a lot more tolerate towards 'plastic' fans recently and overall more positive in your messages. I don't know what has caused it but I like the change, zolayes.
-
Dzeko is also an option, underrated in City though who can blame them when they are spoilt with choice.

Agree with you here. In order for Mourinho to implement his style he needs his type of players. If he has to be a wheeler-dealer and even sell a few popular players, I'd be fine with it aslong as it would benefit Chelsea. He wants to form a new backbone for the club, but it's hard to complete a puzzle with wrong size or missing pieces. I'm fairly surprised about the change of attitude towards JM, if we'd go back to the day he resigned for us a little under a year ago, then by the looks of it there were certain faces that would be ready to die for him but now are slagging him off. Maybe their expectations were set too high, JM is good but not a miracle man.

so we did? can't have everything even if it seems to be at our reach already. Having ambition is good but lacking pragmatism is another story. That's what we get when we have a young, inexperienced squad - young men can run a lot, but older men know where to run. A couple of key signings and we will have a perfect mix of players and something to look forward to. Don't really understand the gloomy atmosphere on this forum currently.

Cruel, but I like it..
-
He also could use a proper rest after last year's RM fiasco and returning to Chelsea.. a summer holiday will do him good.
-
My thoughts exactly. His head is already in Madrid, he will not stay in Chelsea for another year.

Let's hope the World Cup will unveil a gem. Unless that happens our best option is Costa or a less known, 'unproven' striker.
-
There's the thing, we could maybe take Benzema over Costa but neither of them are ideal. Should we splash out a hefty sum of money for someone who we already know is not the right mold? It's like buying a shoe one size smaller just because you like the design - still hurts like bitch to walk in them. For the record, I'd take Costa over Benzema/Balotelli.. he is nuisance to play against but he'd be playing for us, he'd distract the CBs. Like Ibra told in his book - there are no nice guys in football, when it's time to play it's all business and everything is allowed.

Better team won, congratulations to Atletico Madrid. Not our day to say the least, though, it is an achievement to reach the semis with team of ours - we lack a proper striker(s) and balance in general. We will be back. Silver lining to all this is that it stressed the need for 2-3 marquee signings to share the pressure and deliver.
-
If to concede then it is better to do it early in the game, other story is if conceding just before HT is the best option but what can you do. I've got faith in our players to score again. KTBFFH

Nearly a goal also if he had arrived a split second earlier for the corner. Neverthelss a game to remember for him and for us.
-
That was my initial thought also, but I mean Willian started the counter so I'm sure Torres is delighted with the assist anyway.
-
Tactics and pure willpower won us this game, great display from the players, staff and away fans! Momentous game for Kalas, he seemed to cope with the challenge. Schwarzer MOTM for me.

Rest in peace

It's Cavani's 4th 20+ goal season (33, 38, 38, currently 22) and had two 15 goals in 37-38 games seasons in Palermo. Costa is having his first real great season having scored over 30 goals already so it comes down to him being a late bloomer or just a great season (similar to Michu's 2012/2013) - something we will see in the future. As of now Cavani is more proven in my eyes and would trump Costa in his effort, stats and mentality.. more of a Mourinho's player. Regarding Di Natale, he is Udinese's Totti or Del Piero with even better stats. So he is a world class striker and can be compared to Totti and Del Piero. Serie A is a strong league that is known for it's defensive play. Scoring goals in La Liga - a league with few strong teams - is easier, it's in the culture to play an attacking football and with pace and flair so when it comes to that Serie A goals count for more than La Liga's.

Shame there's not control+S function in real life. If things go sour, I'd love to reload back to this day.
-
First win away to Swansea - not the prettiest but 3 points nevertheless. Ba MOTM for his yet again very influential goal.
-
Is Chelsea one man down or are our opponents playing with 10, because I can't see the difference. Time to wake up and stop being tourists.
-
So Henderson out for our match, Sturridge picked up a knock and Gerrard one yellow away from suspension. ManCity had Toure off injured, Agüero still not in form with recovery and all that... Should have been Skrtel off aswell for a blatant handball, but that could have meant 3-3 - an unfavourable result for us.

Why is Atletico Madrid made out to be this ugly duckling that somehow by miracle (read: solely through the efforts of demigod Diego Simone) have reached this far? I'm not trying to belittle his role ,but we are talking about a club who have in the recent years been in many finals and have won a hefty share of those. They possess great players in their ranks starting with Diego Costa, David Villa, Koke, TB and so on (well over Nemyar's market value). It is hard to shine when you're matched with teams like Real Madrid and Barcelona, but the latter isn't the team they used to be and in real life football the best team isn't necessarily composed of the best, most expensive players. Their financial difficulties might add a little romantic touch to this fairlytale of their's but in the end of the day they have a great squad, great manager and are utilizing their potential. They are a force to be reckoned with and the fact they have reached so far into the competition is a logical progression when we look at their past feats.

I do care, that's why I posted a reply saying what I said. This is a forum afterall, isn't it?

There's nothing wrong with the second picture either as far as I'm concerned(and him seemingly). He has more urgent matter on his mind than passing the fashion quiz. 'Worst dressed manager in the WORLD' makes it sound so dramatic.
