Some people think there is an agenda against Costa but the numbers show just how bad he's been. WhoScored say Costa is the first player to have been dispossessed 10 times in a game this season.

He brought us many points. Another decent striker doing his job would have brought us more points. This isn't poor form. Poor form is missing sitters. He isn't contributing at all and is a negative on the field. He is just a really streaky player. How can you defend this guy who is fighting invisible demons on the field every game ? Against City Hazard was one on one with Stones when Diego made a foul on fernando way off the ball and the referee blew his whistle stopping the play. He has himself said that he was pushing really hard for a move to Atletico. And then after January his season has fallen apart but we're to believe from you that the rumours are all crap. Believe what you will, but stop acting as if you know anything more than anyone else.

I've been posting here for more than 6 years I mostly post on here when we lose. When we win I post a few posts and then I leave instantly. When we lose I get pretty upset. Today's loss was bad for me and I've been at the computer thinking about it for 6 straight hours since the game was played having done nothing much except having had lunch. Losses are upsetting and I post more when I'm unhappy. Not really a hater of the team but I feel there are genuine problems with the team and the board that are swept under the rug when we win. It's just the crunch end of the season and I'm starting to get nervous and hope we don't bottle the league. I respect all the posters on here though, even the ones I disagree with. As long as we can respect disagree with one another it isn't too bad I think. The last thing I would want though is for this forum to turn into reddit where any genuine criticism are hidden away under downvotes and everything just becomes group think.

I don't really think this will help. Spurs won't really feel the pressure because they're not in the lead as we are. All the pressure is on us.

If you wanna see the state of his defensive skills look at the last game where Rashford was running at him and Cahill started turning like a top. Exactly the same as when Lukaku scored on him. Today Rashford made a similar run at Luiz who wasn't fazed at all.

On twitter they're saying Monaco wants 65m euros for Mendy. This is probably the worst time to be needing major additions to the squad as all the players are going to cost nonsensical amounts of money. Instead of Bernardo Silva, Emenalo will probably buy Bernard Silver and then wonder what went wrong.

What do Ruben and Chalobah have to do to get games ? No matter how invisible Matic is they can't get a look into the team. That makes me really sad. I'm pretty sure they'd offer a lot more than he does but Conte just won't change the lineup.

It's not really just the CBs. Lots of players on the team are poor at keeping the ball/passing. Matic is very bad, Willian too, Azpi is just okay and Cahill and Moses are bad as well. This creates a lot of pressure where we can't really keep the ball at all. This was just a carbon copy of the Tottenham game.

I first thought he was there on club business but then I thought to myself that sounds way too stupid. We won't be having our players doing physical activities for sponsorship during the crunch end of the season. Really baffling.

Well there's a lot of pressure on him now. Our downturn is coming at the worst possible time because Tottenham are comfortably putting teams away.

We've been terrible at building the squad. I feel like we overpay for average players and hand them out huge contracts.

Torres was so bad that when I go back to old Chelsea highlights his missed sitters still pop up frequently. We haven't really had good luck with strikers unfortunately. Costa has been good for us overall but I still feel we should get rid. We got what we bought, but he still seems way worse than how he was at Atletico. He never lost the ball as much or was as unhinged as he is now.

Lukaku has his problems but compared to Costa at the moment he looks like the second coming of Ronaldo Nazario.

Drogba was amazing at holding up the ball though and heading too. When Drogba wasn't scoring he'd still be a positive for the team because we could just launch the ball in the air and trust him to knock it down to someone. We can't do that with Diego. Drogba wasn't fighting invisible demons on the pitch for the half the game like Costa does. Drogba was a brilliant header of the ball as well, take for example that goal against Bayern in the final which was basically a goal out of absolutely nothing. He also scored a similar goal against them in the Quarterfinals. Costa missed a simple header two feet out from goal against PSG. They're not the same caliber of player. Costa used to be much better than what he is now. He could be frustrating but he was never a turnstile for possession like he is nowadays. I don't really know what is up with him but if feels like we're trusting our whole seasons to the whims of a lunatic.

I don't think he's a great striker. Some poster on here gave the stats on how streaky he is. It's two different players when he's on a goal scoring streak vs when not. When he isn't scoring he is a negative for the team because of how much he loses the ball.

What makes me angry is that the team works hard to get him the ball from the back. The whole team's efforts are involved in moving the ball to the striker from the goal keeper, the midfielders to the wingers. He then loses the ball in some poor touch or picking a fight with an opposition player. It's as if he doesn't have a care in the world about the team or his fellow players. Maybe he's switched off because his move to China was blocked ? If they bench him at this point they're probably thinking it'll really reduce his transfer fee in the summer. Plus my impression of Batshuayi in the small time I've seen him is that he's not a good finisher. I have no doubt in my mind this is his last season for us. We just have to hope we can see this out.

He's roaming about because Matic is immobile and can't do any defensive work especially on counter attacks.

I don't think it's disgraceful to suggest for him to be sacked if we lose the title because it would be a massive bottle job if he does. I personally wouldn't want it. However, if he does get sacked Emenalo and Granovskaia should be fired as well because they're equally responsible for our predicament.

He deserves the blame just as much though. Something should have been done now about our woeful midfield performances against top teams. Also, bringing on Loftus Cheek so late just showed he was just throwing out a prayer for us to get a goal because he had no clue on what to do when they had marked Hazard out of the game. As for our board, they're a disgrace. Keep paying 30m+ pounds for journeymen who stick with us forever and are never given the boot.

I've wanted Willian and Matic gone for a while now. Both should have been sold last year. Willian is a really unproductive winger. Matic was a mistake from the start. We should have never gotten him back. He's given us one good season now and two horrible ones back to back. As for Zouma, my word he barely looks like a footballer out there. Just another body to make up the team count. We were terribly unlucky for Alonso to get injured because he'd have been much better. And Courtois wouldn't have let in that first goal that Begovic did.
