I don't watch Real Madrid games. Today I went to the laundry though and was watching highlights on my laptop and happened upon someone who was a Real fan. He watches the games regularly and when I asked him of his opinion of Bale, he said Bale is "lazy" which shocked me. But hearing it again from you and now I wonder what are his qualities really ? We are this season finally putting away the bum teams regularly. We have to go to the next level now and need players who can compete with the best of Barcelona, Bayern etc. Bale is not one of those players. Particarly, he will be absolutely useless in the champions league given the slower tempo which is exactly where we need to improve our current perfrmance after the PSG result. Cavani and Bale are two mediocre players both of whose clubs will be praying that someone takes them off their hands this summer. I honestly hope it won't be us. His goals from Tottenham are all 30 yard screamers. He won't score those here. We have too many better players for him to be taking 10 of those shots every game and hoping that one goes in. This is the reason players like Falcao and Bale get to star for lesser teams and then flop when they don't have the same attention from teammates in bigger teams where the ball actually is distributed amongst other attackers. Same for Torres imo.

Going by Bale's performance, Real will need to bid 200m GBP for Hazard.

Such a trash player. Only good when given space to run into. Amazing how quickly his game has been figured out. If we go for him this summer I will jump off a bridge I promise.

I am often surprised by his athleticism, which is very much like Essien was from midfield. He doesn't seem that quick, but he has that burst of speed where he just sometimes breezes past players. He has amazing potential in my opinion due to this. There aren't that many flaws to his game and if he keeps improving like he has this season, he can really be world class. At the start of the season I was thinking 30m is a huge waste on Willian but that might turn out to be a huge bargain the way things are going.

You are right but I feel that neither of these players really helps us. We need a much bigger talent, on the level of Koke, Pogba etc because in the games against good teams (PSG, Barca, Madrid and Bayern etc) we get dominated in midfield. These two players are not going to help us in those types of games, which is where we really need to stand out in order to get to the next level from here. Otherwise we'll just win the league again next season and come short in the Champions League.

We need a marquee player in midfield who can put us on the level of Barcelona, Madrid and Bayern. Schneiderlin isn't going to cut it, and I'll be really disappointed if we get him.

It is one of the main goals of teams like Atletico and Tottenham to to play in a style where their best player is showcased and can then be sold for huge sums. So it's not fair to compare Bale with Hazard. Bale might as well be a slightly more improved Berbatov, since he is now flopping at Madrid, just like Berbatov did at Utd. If Hazard played in that Real side he would destroy La Liga.

They will appeal just like Barcelona did. And while their appeal is being heard, they will sign players in this summer just like Barcelona did. As regards to Pogba this news is bad for us because Real have all the more incentive to complete the signing this window now. It might even make a Hazard transfer come into play if Real go completely nuts.
-
They are talking to PSG first because PSG is going to make the highest offer probably. They will then use that offer as a bargaining chip in the negotiations for the team that they really want to go to, which is probably Real Madrid.
-
All this head ache for a third rate player basically.
-
Don't get Varane because Madrid will use that money for Pogba. Let him stay on their bench tbh.
-
Isco seems so unlikely. He has to want to go, Real have to want to sell, then we have to fend off competition from city psg etc. It'll be amazing if we got him though.
-
He seems really overrated tbh, especially for the price Atletico seem to want. For 50m it would be criminal to go for this guy. I'd say anything above 35m would be overpriced.
-
Oscar is still the weak link. If we don't improve him then where else ? He loses the ball too much.
-
Woeful as usual against a top team, so what is really new ?
-
Mourinho's guaranteed selection of him has become a complete farce.
-
Mourinho likes this sort of player in midfield, who is athletic even though he has little footballing ability. That's how players like Kalou, Ramires, Mikel and Willian get to stick around so long.
-
This is my biggest fear tbh. We saw what happened the last time Mourinho was sacked. United went on the win the title 3 years in a row. I don't really trust the board to replace him properly. Let's just hope that he learns from his mistakes and that the new tv deal will give us an edge over other teams in the CL. Anyways, I reckon that we'll know very early on next season how things are going to turn out. If he takes the same approach in the big games as now, I'll hope he is sacked.
-
He should apologize to the fans at least.
-
You sound like a broken tape. A troll I suspect.
-
This loss is on Mourinho first and foremost before all of the players. It is a Mourinho strategy to defend deep while a man up. It isn't really even a question about firing the players up. This is the manager and his psychology. Too many shit on a stick players who are more athletes than footballers like Ramires and Willian and that is all Mourinho too. The only good Brazilian we had we sold, even if for a lot of money.
-
Should be sacked regardless imo however it's scary because I don't trust the club to choose a good successor.
-
I also absolutely love how Mourinho enrages opposition fans. Go to the redcafe forums for this game. In their thread from their comments you can imagine the spittle flying out of their mouths as they type on the keyboard. Same for Liverpool and City and Arsenal. They always pretend to dislike one another the most but it's us that is always provoking the most emotional reactions out of these fools.
-
It is what it is my friend. We will have to wait for a new Chelsea era for different football because Mourinho isn't changing. I am happy though that he is here and hope that he helps us win as many trophies as possible for his stay. I am also really happy that on this board we are allowed to criticize our manager like this and not be harassed. It is really a credit to both the Mods and the other fans here.

Winning is the most important thing. Few fans will argue against that. But to see Mourinho thinks how we must play in order to achieve that is extremely disheartening as a fan.
