They were just wasting time thinking they could sign Fabregas.

Jose's already said time and time again that we are only looking at the striker position, and even explicitly ruled out a De Rossi transfer.

They got Hernandez and Kagawa at #9 and 10 positions. That said, I don't see this happening either. Hey, at least United have a disgruntled player in their hands.

Not only that but Zlatan while a great player does not fit the style of striker Jose said he wants.

We already have offensively-challenged CM/DM in Ramires, Mikel and Essien. I'd rather roll the dice with Van Ginkel

Jose wants a striker who can play between the lines, and he specifically name-dropped Eto'o. I'm sure we would strongly consider him if Anzhi accepts a small fee and the player a massive pay cut.
