I didn't say you have to like it. In the end, those 48,000 people got an entertaining game out of this, and that's all that matters. Majority of the crowd were Chelsea fans and they won't change teams just because of a post-season tour game.

I prefer a poor all-around player who keeps scoring goals to mediocre all-around player who can't score goals. When the former's 9 years younger than the latter , it's no contest.

I think Steve Clarke and West Brom have been great for him, and he for them; but I think it's time he gets more used to playing twice a week. And of course he may just well be better than Torres and Ba already from what we've seen of him this season. Congrats on a brilliant season by the way.

By the way, this is a different team to what he had 6-7 years ago. He's a lot more adaptable than many think. It's no coincidence that he's won 4 different leagues.

By the way, if we sign him this summer, I believe he can still qualify as club-trained because he's still 17. I'd say it's pretty significant considering the number of foreign players we keep buying. That's why I wouldn't mind Rooney and Shaw. We got some good English talents in our academy, but could still definitely use more English signings.

You cannot NOT take age into consideration when signing players. Elite prospect who's a legit PL starter at age of 17 is an easy choice over a 28 y/o especially when the position's not even our priority.

Rooney's usually overrated, but he was once the 3rd best player in the world, and can be one of the best players in the world if he regains some consistency.
