  1. The only worry about Willian playing as a number 10 is his shocking final pass...
  2. That starting eleven looks amazing, the three attacking players behind the striker all have skill, pace and can beat a man, if they can gel together it's going to be exciting to watch. Also Villa's playing style will suit Cesc right down to the ground, they sit deep and try to counter, this will give him the space and time to dictate the play.
  3. He can play wing back like Young does at United, but naturally he's a RW. Barcelona wanted him in the summer to replace Alves and Cuadrado declined because he doesn't want to play in that position.
  4. Please... people remember the high scoring games, the 6,7 and 8 nils and think we played like that throughout the campaign, no we didn't. We only won the league by 1 point and truth be told we got a tad lucky, that 'title-deciding' match against United was won by a goal that was offside. There were times when we got beat real good by pretty average teams.. the 3-1 defeat to wigan and the 4-2 defeat to City springs to mind. The way people go on about Carlo's first season you would have thought we were like Barca in their prime. Also don't get me started on our CL campaign under Carlo... Jose's inter tactically out-thought and outfought us. I don't want to sound like i'm shitting on Carlo because i really like him as a manager and he did win the double ffs which was huge for us, BUT some people go overboard and act like we were so dominant but the truth is we weren't.
  5. I dont think the intention was to sit so deep, watch the first half and it was pretty even. In the second half the players were absolutely shattered. the likes of Willian, Oscar, Ivan, Matic and Hazard have played the majority of our games this season + the midweek game, so you cant really blame them. When we normally 'park the bus' we control the spaces so much better and teams find it hard to get in behind us, City actually did get into good positions but ended up overdoing it. In my opinion it was the easiest time to play us and they still couldn't get the win. We missed arguably two of our best players, had a bench full of youngsters and was out on our feet in the second half... no two ways about it, it was a massive point for us and City will feel like that was a big opportunity missed.
  6. Imo he's similar to Ramires but better technicaly, some of his runs are Yaya-esque.
  7. Brilliant absolutely brilliant, didn't put one foot wrong.
  8. I'm guessing it's just temporary anyway. Drogba will most likely go into a coaching role next season leaving the number 11 up for grabs. Oscar has the number 8 now so doubt he'll want it.
  9. Fiorentina manger, Montella: "The sale of Cuadrado? Had to be done.Salah arrives, Aquilani out tomorrow. http://gianlucadimarzio.com/news-cat/fiorentina-montella-la-cessione-di-cuadrado-andava-fatta-arriva-salah-aquilani-out-domani-babacar/ Done deal, just wait for official announcement.
  10. http://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/calciomercato/cuadrado-bid-farewell-to-his-fiorentina-teammates-hes-expected-to-travel-to-london-this-evening-the-pictures/ Juan Cuadrado is ready to leave Serie A to start the next chapter of his career at Chelsea. The Colombian winger is expected to travel to London this evening, earlier today he went to Fiorentina's training facility to say goodbye to his teammates and the coaching staff. He left the facility from a secondary exit to avoid journalists and fans, here are the pictures:
  11. Good three game rest though, will be ready for the PSG game.
  12. Jose will now use this to create a siege mentality inside the dressing room, 'everyone against us'. The players will be right up for this now.
  13. Is it just £23.3 million plus Salah on loan or are we also including bonuses that rises up to £26 million?
  14. Very inconsistent player, sadly he just lacked that little bit of quality on the ball. He's a player who needs space to run into and seeing as most teams sit deep against us he was always going to struggle.
