  1. so they won that on penalties? whoopeee............ and done sod all ever since! You know as well as the rest of us we should of won The Champions League by now but there is soooooooooooooooooooo much controversy to why we havent. Gerrard cant even be bloody consistant in the EPL so they can win that we have. Lampard ahs scored most of the winning goals to seal the Prem titles and has scored bagfulls along the way.
  2. Lampard 39 appearences in league 22 goals last season Gerrard 33 appearences in league 9 goals last season ................................
  3. Lampard doesnt need to be a bullish twat and lunge in with 2 feet and get a strop on. he will just tackle and take the ball off the player............
  4. this is a tad old from 2009 but still it sums up and is all i want to say on the matter In contrast to Gerrard, it is easy at times to miss the contributions of this highly motivated individual such is the wonderful simplicity of his passing game. One or two touches, he rarely takes more when that middle ground becomes unbearably congested. There is no-one better at it either; no-one more skilled in the art of the quick-fire pass under pressure, having expertly worked out distances and angles before the ball arrives at his feet. Those calculations often result in a diagonal first-time pass over the top where, in the good times, Didier Drogba could be seen racing away. If that's not on, Lampard will choose something a little more conservative, if equally impressive in terms of peripheral vision and ability to spot the right pass in the blink of an eye. From a positional point of view, he is probably more disciplined than Gerrard, more suited to following a rigid game plan. Never was this firm grasp of tactics better showcased than during England's 4-1 win in Croatia last September when Lampard sat deep to provide defensive cover – a performance all the more worthy given his natural game. Arriving in the box with exquisite timing and hitting the target with a snap shot – now that's more his style. Nobody in the world, I think, has done it for so long at the top level with quite so much success. An unquenchable thirst for practice undoubtedly helps. There aren't many footballers who can honestly say they've done everything humanly possible to reach their full potential. Lampard can. The ultimate pro, he's a credit to the game. Conclusion The statistics speak loud and clear. Over the last eight years, Lampard has scored more goals than Gerrard and contributed more assists in a Chelsea side winning two Premier League titles. Difficult to argue against such stunning figures.
  5. Seeing the boys could of and probably did get him into football
  6. Agreed to an extent. If he gets to play more maybe he will be more consistant. But I am no way his biggest fan I hate his attitude on the pitch. It really grates on me.
  7. I wont even dignify this with a debate ................... it's so 2-3 years ago much love badboy xxx He is being serious. I use to argue with him on this for pages and pages about 2 years ago. But there is no point arguing/debating it, it goes round in circles
  8. probably fustration and doesnt mean it lol I get labelled a glory hunter all the time.............and its rich voming from man united and liverpool supporters who are my age or less sometimes.......
  9. Just finally got to read the whole article. I agree with it. But cant help when we were all born lol I mean I would of LOVED to of been at all the games in the 70's and 80's that my dad went to but I'm 23 in April and since birth I have been a Chelsea supporter! I had no choice really with my dad being a Chelsea supporter (my mum is Fulham but she doesnt know any better bless her LOL) and we lived about 10 min walk from Stamford Bridge too :-) We have had a tremendous amount of talent at The Bridge from Greaves, Osgood, Bonetti, Chopper Harris, Bentley, Droy, Cooke etc etc right up untill the present day. Also gone are the days of going to Fulham's home games if you couldnt go Chelsea away. Obviously I didnt know but my mum and dad regularly rememeber when Dad went to Fulham if he couldnt go to Chelsea away and Mum use to go to Chelsea if she couldnt get to Fulham away. My dad was a bus driver and he reularly use to swap shift or even end routes early (naughty naughty and sorry to anyone in the Shepherds bush area at that time lol) and go to matches on the weekend straight from work still in his bus mans gear. Those seem the good days that I personally would of enjoyed. I obviously love what we have achieved in my life time but I do think I was born atleast a decade too late. My son will support Chelsea too, no way will his dad win and make him support Portsmouth LOL family traditions now!! Aslong as you know who we are and our ups and downs and realise nothing has ever been a breeze for us you'll be alright ;-) I still get excited that we win and when we lose I shrug my shoulders and say same old Chelsea with a smile.
  10. Like I said Anelka can go really quiet for a few games and then turn up in others! I dont think he is crap. I definatly wouldnt put Drogba out wide............pointless. He isnt meant to be there. When he drifts out I'm shouting at the TV wtf you doing there, get in the bloody middle where your meant to be!!!! Finally does that against Villa and low and be hold he scores....... Also Dids is a complex character but I still love him and he is still a legend and one of the best strikerx in the world imo
  11. Unfortunatly money rules football and it has corrupted it :-( You dotnget players that would play for the love of the game or the club that they are at. Everything is at a price
  12. Badboy........................seriously, well many moons ago definatly lol
  13. sounded like he meant now lol Roman wont spend alot especially with this new rule about being self sufficent to play in europe
  14. 33 on 20th June actually lol A good signing if we can get him and at a bargain price. We lack midfielders and he'll have great experience to help us and the youngesters. He had like one ace season but he is ok to me.
  15. You stated the obvious lol nice thread and info though mate :-) Frank is really under appreciated by some people. He doesnt always get noticed for the little things he does in a game untill he isnt there....... his vision is second to none, He doesnt have to lunge in to players to get the ball, he is atleast 15 goal a season player, and Gerrard well is nothing compaired to Frank and I dont care who says different this is one topic I will not back down on. Nevr have never will.
  16. Zola Lampard Terry Hasselbaink Flo Wisey Totti Cannavaro Zola is the best foreign footballer to have graced the English leagues imo. Cantona, Henry, Bergkamp etc cannot beat him sorry.
  17. lmao kust to cause trouble Ivanovic is a worthy MOTM too like everyone has said. I was concerned whe we lost Riccy but Ivanovic has filled a hole and become an awesome partner for JT.
  18. Ramires with out a shadow of a doubt. Looked so confident and much stronger, so unlucky not to score his first goal for us!! I am relieved that he has proved me wrong and he has adapted quite well now to the EPL and I actually look forward to seeing his name in the starting line up every week.
  19. Your not missing much its shite lol I have it but I dont pay for it as me and my dad work for Sky but if we didnt I would pay monthly for it. I just find games online and stream them if its not on Sky or ESPN. anyhoo on Anelka, he has spells of being quiet and then suddenly appears and scores in a few games. Havent seen todays game, I'm waiting for MOTD to come on
