  1. If Arsenal win the Europa it should seriously raise the question on whether the winners of that tournament should get Europa going forward. If that mess end up playing CL football it would be wrong on so many levels.
  2. Nothing sums up our dominance over Arsenal in the last close to two decades than them still losing ground to us on a weekend we get stuffed at home to West Brom!
  3. It's actually mental that Arteta is still in a job, that club are finished.
  4. May aswell get a laugh out of this!
  5. Usually I absolutely hate the international but this time I was almost glad for it. Not for the international games but for the breather from everything Chelsea related, it's been absolutely relentless since the restart in June and it was good to get a bit of time to refresh and get set for what could end up being another relentless marathon of do or die games every few days.
  6. That's strange. This was unthinkable six months but at this point I don't think the UK should be on any country in Europe's red list with the possible exceptions of Isreal and Gibraltar.
  7. I dont get it why can't we play in Portugal now they're off the red list?
  8. Turns out he's the nephew of Ty from AFTV. Scenes if he becomes their new Drogba.
  9. If Allardyce's recent selections are anything to go by he won't even be in the squad.
  10. In the semis of the FA Cup unless we're favourites i'd rather play the best team in the semi. If we can beat them then we will go into the final with a massive chance.
  11. Worked out allright last time. But on a more serious note there's no harm in discussing the possibility's especially when there's a decent chance it may happen (i mean lets be honest if us and City were on opposite sides of this draw this forum would have been knee deep in conspiracy theory's) however i see nobody taking Porto as a given.
  12. To whisper ir quietly any of those three likely opponents in the final may suit us if we get there. Bayern leave a shit loads of space in behind we can exploit, TT has already demonstrated he can tactically combat them and him and Silva will be so hungry to avenge last year on a personal level. PSG will feel the same anxiety we use to in this competition before we finally done it (I still feel tense about what's to come but not even half as much as I was before we had one in the bag already), although as the situation with TT and Silva they could also come into it doubly determined after last year. Hopefully Pochettino's track record of crumbling in the crunch continues if it's them in the final. Likewise City will have that anxiety there of needing to do it for the first time which will hopefully play to our advantage. Funnily enough the one that may suit us the least is Dortmund, a team fully embracing the underdog tag plus Haaland and Sancho up front has danger written all over it.
  13. I would say 3 of them have and the other 2 still might.
  14. Even in that position i think he'd frustrate in the games Tuchel left him out in. I hope he doesn't touch the pitch vs West Brom leaving him fresh and ready for the q/f.
  15. It's almost as if rotating him adequately and sparing his energy for suitable games was the way forward.
  16. Mourinho and Arteta have set a precedence.
  17. In December/January sure but pre collapse we played Spurs and Sevilla both twice and United once (with Mendy) and didn't concede once.
  18. Even under Frank we were solid upto and including November with Mendy, ironically it was the attack that got him fired in the end.
  19. We've got good defenders, they were made to look poor by Kepa and Willy.
  20. I'd take Real, it's what the CL (especially at this stage) is all about.
  21. I remember Benfica in the same situation, don't think i ever panicked so much in my life.
  22. Tbf we're owed a few in this tournament.
  23. It's because he's being adequately rested/rotated. Lampard use to always play him (and never take him off) when fit regardless and it led to him frustrating in matches that didn't suit him (ie the deep line defenses).
  24. They need to take a course with that Swansea lad (or man as he will be now).
