  1. Apart from Sturridge, Jack Cork is the loanee that should be kept at all costs the most, we would be mad to let him go and here are my reasons as to why his inclusion in next year's squad is a MUST. 1. Versatile He can play anywhere across the back and in centre midfield, versatility is key to any squad and Cork has always impressed in all positions out on loan. I honestly cannot see how he can't do the same for us. 2. Experienced For a 21 year old he has got tons of experience, 168 career games (11 of them in the premier) aswell as 12 caps for the under 21's, during his brief spell in the premier league last season he impressed, he set up Burnley's 2 goals on his debut at Villa Park and got rave reviews by the Clarets despite losing 5-2, he also showed signs of promise at the Emirates despite Burnley being on the losing side again but his stand out game came against Spurs when he dominated there midfield and helped Burnley to a impressive 4-2 win and Burnley fans have nothing but rave reviews when it comes to Cork. 3. Consistent He will rarely blow us away with a 9/10 rating but will almost always get a 7 every match, he looks comfortable and never looks like making silly mistakes (which is more than can be said for our loanee at Wolves ). He could cover numerous positions if we get injuries and will hardly ever let us down if at-all. 4. Home grown and Chelsea through and through He's been in the Chelsea set up since the age of 9, came through all our levels from then on and proved a very reliable player on loan moves elsewhere and is also homegrown and our homegrown list needs boosting as we only named 4 last August, common sense suggest Cork should be in our squad next season. Agree?
  2. He's looking lively tonight
  3. Borini is looking threatening
  4. sometimes this season ive wished he could have got his boots and play for us
  5. Still think its wingers we miss the most, our back to back title winners on paper didnt have that creative a midfield but with Robben and Duff on the wings we didn't need one really, Mata and Sanchez in we will be sorted.
  6. Aston Villa signed Pires out of the transfer window and slotted him in, so i think were be allowed to bring Cork back from his loan if we have the space there...
  7. Swansea have strong Chelsea connections, Rodgers as coach, Sinclair and Borini playing and Ma Kalamby on the bench
  8. Neymar will be a good singing is we can get him but what worries me about him is that he don't seem like a big game player. Against Arsenal he would be ineffective because the way to get at them is a big strong striker, Neymar wont get a sniff and can you imagine him against Ferdinand and Vidic? he would get knocked off the ball when he gets near them.
  9. Id be up for giving it a shot, give me a shout if you need/want me
  10. We aint got our full 25 quota so we should be able to add him
  11. Dont need him, i dont believe our main problem is lack of creativity, these guys managed to score 103 goals in 38 games less that a year ago ffs, its lack of width and wingers is what we should be looking at.
  12. Ill copy and paste the article i made a few weeks ago Carlo should stay for me not only has he only been in the job 2 years and has done fantastically Who is there better that is also available? Jose is not coming back – sorry to burst the dream, but he won't leave Madrid until he has won La Liga and that wont be happening this year. Furthermore, do you honestly think Roman will admit he was wrong and say 'there you are, Jose: unlimited funds you take control?'There's more of chance of Patrick Vieira and Roy Keane getting a civil partnership. Also I think its fair to say we can kiss goodbye to any hope of seeing some of our Youth Cup players breaking through to our first team any time soon. McEachran will be the only one that would even get a sniff if Mourinho came back. You can bet that the rest will be gone for the good of their careers. You can say what you want about Carlo with the youth set-up, but he has at least given them more chances than any other manager weve had since Vialli. Hiddink isn't the answer either. Yes, he did do well during his brief reign, but remember it was merely four months. That's the equvilent of a rich vein of form; and if he was Superman then why are Turkey struggling, and why did Russia fail to reach the World Cup? Granted it was all good under Guus because everything was going our way, but if things start to go against us, how do you know he won't be walking around wondering what to do. I think its pretty fair to say his job was made easier because of the fact he came after Scolari, and most of the players were just happy a new face was in. I would have liked to see how he would have fared if he came in straight after José – I love Guus and he is a great man, but if you think he will come back in and have us ruling English football you are sadly mistaken. You can also add that to the fact he has said he doesn't want to go back to club football management either. Who else is there around? Rafa Benitez?! We do this we will be out of the top four, playing on Channel 5 at best, and he will leave us with a squad full of expensive flops. People say Jose is about the here and now, but name me one thing Rafa did at Liverpool that was building towards the future? That being said, with Roman's obsession with the European Cup and Rafa delivering it to Merseyside in 2005, I honestly wouldn't put it past Roman to make a attempt to get him. Perhaps then all the Carlo bashers will suddenly realize that one average season (where we can still finish second) isn't actually that bad after all. Who else then? Lippi? He is in his twilight years we will get 3-4 years as manager before he moves on. Rijkaard? Please, he got a dutch club relegated. Van Basten? Well, he got sacked from Ajax for failing to qualify for the CL. Pep Guardiola? He has one of the best ever teams at his disposal, fair play for making the best out of them but if we comes here he will have to build a team and his transfer record leaves a lot to be desired. Zola or di Matteo? Sorry but no, legends as players but that doesn't qualify them as great managers as well. Villas Boaz seems the only realistic option if the unthinkable happens this summer – but considering his commitment to Porto, wrestling him away will be an expensive option. So basically the only realistic target is Benitez and if Carlo leaves I would not put it past Roman to appoint him (because of his CL record) – and do you really want that? Basic rules with football management… you need… 1st year – to assess the situation (which Carlo did, winning a Double with players that weren't even 'his').2nd year – to make changes (again, something Carlo has done and in the long run the players he has brought in will have a positive effect on the team).3rd year – to really stamp your authority. At least give him that year to do that and see where it takes us. As far as I'm concerned this has just been '2nd season syndrome' for Carlo and despite all our troubles we could still end the season in 2nd place despite a couple of months ago looking in danger of dropping out of the top four. Yet Carlo has still helped to turn our fortunes around when things were going against us. Could you imagine Rafa doing that? Because if Carlo leaves, his face in the hotseat is a real possibility. So for those who want Carlo out, be very careful what you wish for…
  13. Yes he does but if Carlo (or god for bid the new manager) makes him a key part of pre season (or even plays him for the final 2 games as he must be back now Burnley's season is finished???), makes him feel wanted and part of our plans he will almost certainly change his mind, he has been at the club since he was 10 and (like Bertrand) has been very patient and deserves a shot plus he hardly looked out of his depth in the prem last season.
  14. They should give it to us in that way we can send out our reserves which will give them a edge for competitive football
  15. Srna is versatile and can play across the defence and midfield but we already have a homegrown player that can do that
  16. Am i the only 1 who thinks we should give 2 games to Cork? Burnley's campaign is over so he must be back at Stamford Bridge now, he could be a key squad player for us in the future as he can play in defence and midfield, he wants to leave but if we play him now and show intent for him next season he might just change his mind. But in all seriousness if Man U lose on saturday there will be cat in hells chance of any of them playing because Carlo wont give up on the title until its lost mathematically and 2nd is still well and truly to play for as the last thing we need is to finish below the gooners. hope you have a great last game and the team give you the last home game thumping you deserve
  17. Gooners have gone up a bit, they were bottom of the fair play league last i checked
  18. Nah, only good when the team is built around him like it is at Spurs, for £24m not a chance plus he has fitness problems which is why he gets subbed off a lot, Snejder will probably be avalible for the same price and out of those 2 theres only 1 winner.
  19. For some reason i use to love our autoglass kits but for samsung 05/06 by far (although our away shirt that year was ), 08/09 seems a popular one but for me thats been my least favorite one out of the samsung kits.
  20. Talk Chelsea is not just the best Chelsea forum or even the best football forum tis the BEST forum on the net. Most other forums are bland and boring and if you as much as give a divided opinion you get shot down but this one you get more room for you own opinion and long may it continue
  21. The most annoying thing about this season has been the lack of urgency when losing/drawing in a game. Liverpool and Fulham in February have been the prime examples, we should have been dragging the ball forward putting them under unbearable pressure, peppering their box with balls after balls after balls instead its sideways passing and pissing about like were 5-0 up, what i find strange is we were showing more urgency at the end of last/start of this season when we were 5-0 up than they were mid season when we were losing/drawing matches 1 good thing thats came out of this season tho that no-one has seemed to mention is that we have learned how to hold on to leads, last season we dropped 16 points from winning positions this season we have only dropped 4, something positive to build on. Plus may i add that the Luiz cant defend thing is very harsh indeed, he has made the most interceptions in the PL than any other player ALL SEASON and has only been here for half of it, yes he may be a bit reckless at times but so was Carvalho he gave an infuriating amount of dodgy free kicks away in his time at the club, plus Luiz has played 12 times for us and in those games weve conceded 8 times with him on the pitch which ain't actually that bad a record and look at Vidic during his early days at Utd, he was abysmal, Luiz may be a bit reckless at times but he most certainly can defend. Another thing learned is we need to give youngsters a try but ease them in and have more depth to the squad, Kakuta and Bruma aint bad but they just aint ready, too in-experienced plus say we gave Bruma his premierleague debut in the Sunderland match and Gyan gave him the run around and we got beat 3-0, what would that do to his confidence? Kakuta is the same, every man and his dog was calling Carlo to start him and when he did against Villa, Gael got mullered on every angle. McEachran is a great young player who will only get better but when he came on at Villa Park he made a few mistakes and nearly lost us the game, something that would have set him back, he has made 15 appearances which is well above the average for a 17 year old, i have absolutely no doubt what soever that he will be a star at Chelsea for years to come, same with Tore, Chalaboah, Deen-Conteh, 2 Clifford's, trust me these guys are gems patience with these could well and truly be rewarded. 2 young(ish) players who are ready tho are Sturridge and Bertrand, starting with Danny, Carlo can ignore FA Cup goals against Champ opposition, he can ignore 5 goals for the reserves but what he can not ignore is proven premiership scoring if Carlo (or god for bid whoever else is incharge) dont give him a fair crack at the wip id be fuming on to Ryan he has been patient with loan moves to the Championship, excelled at Forest and especially Reading (i went to a number of Reading games last season as my parents live 20 miles from the Madjeski, i thought he was a Arsenal loanee so i was delighted when i found out he was ours) he deserves a place in our squad. It aint been the lack of creativity we have been lacking that season i personally think it has been lack of width, watching Valencia at Utd frustrates me because he would have been perfect for us , 2 of Mata, Sanchez and Neymar would be perfect, wingers are our main priority i made this article about unleashing Josh next year but im starting to think loaning him to Bolton will be a good idea as Coyle is a excellent coach, give Conor a chance next season if any one deserves a chance its him he works so bloody hard. Delac needs a loan to a champo side. Van Der Wiel seems a good idea but with his good attacking qualities he might end up found wanting defensively and the last thing we need is another Bosingwa. With Hilario out of contract we need a new no2 (Ross is ok as a no3 but i feel uncomfortable knowing a Cech injury will see him no1) Wayne Hennesy (if Wolves go down) would be ideal. Mistakes have been made this season but if the board learn from then we will look back at this season if not next may the may after watching this season review laughing our heads off KTBFFH
  22. How this thread has managed to get to 69 fucking pages and over 20 thousand views is beyond me
  23. Zola was a model pro. Didnt whinge, didnt cheat, didnt dive, didnt go demanding yellow cards for opponents and i dont care what anyone says pound for pound he is the best player ever to grace this league the fact he has no premierleague medals yet twats like Gary Neville have like 9 just goes to show the lack of justice on this planet.
  24. Ive got 2 teams. My team with you guys and some other team called EL Pep i got offered a job for. Found out there bottom of their league played 7 lost 7 scored 3 conceded 31 Is their any way to quit that team and concentrate on the TC one?
