If we finish 4th and the yids finish 5th and win the CL they will be in it next season at OUR expense. After the 2005 debacle they changed it to if you win it and finish outside the qualification places you enter at the expense of the team in the last qualification place. I remember 2005/2006 when Arsenal and Spurs were on a 4th place battle and one of my Gooner mates said he would find it ammusing if Spurs finish 4th but Arsenal snatch the CL place off them by winning it.

Fucking papers spreading bile, he was actully getting more into the game as it went on.

Yes Carlo has made a few mistakes but he took over a squad that was getting on and managed to squeeze a double out of it, that took all his expierence. What frustrates me is IMO this squad peaked out in 08/09 and i still think what might have been if we had Hiddink all season, it would not have suprised me if we won the league surpassing Jose's record points tally if we had Guus (or even Carlo for that matter) all season IMHO Evrey great team suffer a season or 2 in transition and if we thought we were immune from that we are mental. Bayern 06-07 Man.Utd 03-06 Arsenal 05-present Barcelona 06-08 Lets hope its more of a Bayern transition than a Arsenal one.

Changing of the Guard? Start the young bloods CArlo!
Tomo replied to Jose M's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
The urgency thing is what frustrated me the most. Their were times were Lamps, Essien and Malouda amounst others had the ball in the middle with Fullham pulled all over the pitch instead of getting the ball forward it was 5 touches then passing sideways and by then the Fullham players were back into position. Its something that has to be sorted out quick. -
Arsenal apparently did last year. YIDS have got us and City both away aswell as gooners at home.

Could be worse, could be 6 (or Liverpool)

LDN Blue, i was considering putting Ivan in but i think its too soon.

Morning Blues, yestoday i done a poll on who was our best keeper in our history, now ill do one on our defenders, when ive covered all positions ill make a thread on what was TC's best ever Chelsea Xl Who do you think is the best ever defender ever to wear the Chelsea shirt? feel free to cast your vote, if you believe another defender is the best vote other and state it on the comments and ill add his name in the final votes. Another big reason for the other vote is knowing me ive forgotten some-one obvious. Next up the midfielders and strikers poll which ill add on tommorow. Ill look at this poll on February 28th and the defenders with the most votes ill add to the TC best Chelsea Xl off all time. KTBFFH

Ive been taunting Liverpool mates about "Thursday nights on channel 5" for the best part of 2 years, dont panic the yids will bottle it.
-
He made a huge gaff taking Torres off IMHO, he was slowly but surely getting into the game and has scored so many late goals in his Liverpool days (including 1 at the Cottage i believe?).
-
Thats what i was thinking, obviously i doubt we would do it that fast, but more urgency on the ball and not 10 touch then pass sideway would have helped yestoday. This is why (despite his tender age) im struggling to justify Josh not playing often.
-
Can i start by saying Lamps is and always will be a Chelsea legend but we should consider using in next season in the same mould as Utd use Scholes. Players in their mid 30's rarely cope with being used 3 times a week, use Lamps sparingly we will get more out of him, heard of the phrase less is more? Josh McEachran is 17, young, in-expierenced but struggling to justify not playing him he seems confident and offers something else, what the worse that could have happened if we brought him on for the last 10/15 minutes in this and the Liverpool game, Carlo can bring him on at Villa Park and COM Stadium with the score tight but not craven cottage, why? Despite the moment of madness at the end our defence looked so much more comftable with Luiz in it, i cant remember a clear cut chance for Fullham all night. The worse thing about last night is we have got atleast 2 and a half weeks till our next league game.
-
Petr Cech 8 Got evrey desicion spot on last night and saved us, dont ask me how but i knew he was going to save it. Branislav Ivanovic 7 Solid at the back, misplaced passes at the top occasionly. David Luiz 7 Would be a 8 but that moment put it down to 7. John Terry 7 Solid Ashely Cole 7 read Terry Ramires 8 MOTM for me was involved in evreything we did good Micheal Essien 6 Has had better nights Frank Lampard 6 read Essien Nicolas Anelka 6 He can be sooo frustrating at times Florent Malouda 6 Im starting to get really worried about his form Fernando Torres 6 Better, good movement although should have done a lot better lets hope he does SUBS Soloman Kalou 6 Didier Drogba 6 Need to do better all in all
-
Might aswell bring Josh on, whats the worse that can happen?
-
If Drogba does get drooped lets hope it has an Old Trafford and White Hart lane affect. If we play our hearts out ill be happy, if we go down badly like last week i wont be impressed.
-
It depends on a what type of deafeat. If its one we played shit and deserved what we (IE Sunderland) got i just accept it and move on (after a couple of hours). If we got robbed by shit refereing (IE you know who) im preety angry for a while. If we done our best but on the night got beat by the better team (IE Inter) im annoyed but get over it. If we lose a game we wasted loads of glorious chances and should have done better (IE Rosenborg) im kicking myself.

Morning Blues, after united done a poll on the best ever players in each position for their club i thought i should do the same for us on here (were only allowed to do 3 polls in 1 thread otherwise i would have covered them all now) Ill start with a goalkeeper poll who do you think is the best ever goallie ever to wear the Chelsea shirt? feel free to cast your vote, if you believe another goallie is the best vote other and state it on the comments and ill add his name in the final votes. Another big reason for the other vote is knowing me ive forgotten some-one obvious. Next up the defenders poll which ill add on tommorow. Ill look at this poll on Febuary 28th and the goallie with the most votes ill add to the TC best Chelsea Xl off all time. KTBFFH

Hello Chelsea family (From Holland)

IMHO we should make Ivan 1st choice RB, Bossingwa does not convince me at-all, yes rotating the CB's does seem the way forward. Hopefully next season the youth will return and Carlo will use them aswell.
-
LOL at the claims that if Utd kept Ronaldo and Tevez they would have won it easy. How do you know that? if they kept them the chances are Rooney would not have had the brilliant season he did and he scored 10 more last season than Ronaldo did the season before. You could say if we had Hiddink all of 08/09 we would have won it or if we had less injury problems in the 2 seasons before we would have won it, we didnt then and they didnt last season so its all if buts and maybes.
-
Hopefully this loan will be a sucess for him. If Leicester get promoted should we loan PVA and Bruma for a whole season in a prem? then they come back with valuble prem expierence aswell.
-
Seeing the un-believable job he is doing at Leicester city it seems in hignsight all the stick he was getting as England manager was extremely unfair and harsh. Given what has happened at England since Sven left, 3 quater finals in a row (losing twice on penalties and once narrowly to IMO one of the best international team off all time) seems a preety decent feat. His did a good job at City aswell they faded away at the end which undermined him a bit. Leicester lets not even get started, when he took over they were 3rd bottom of the table with 8 points from 10 games now there 7th with 48 points from 31 games, so since Sven took the reigns its been 40 points from 21 games, thats automatic promotion form and if they carry on the way there going epect a late surge up to those top 2 places. Sven's guidance seems the best place for Bruma and Van Aanholt to develop into better players.
