Even in this supposed great season he had in 08/09, Bosingwa's defensive frailties were shockingly obvious to any one who wasn't took in by the the fact he ran in a straight line. His only saving grace then is he put in a good cross 1 time out of 10, compared to 1 time out of 50 when he returned from his injury. Bosingwa was a walking car crash even under Scolari, without meaning to be cynical, if he wasn't ruled out for most of 09/10 we wouldn't have won the league, the 6/6 we got against the big four, he didn't play in a single one. I saw him play at SB against Sunderland under AVB, i never realized the true extent of just how bad he was until then, aswell as being a shit player he was a tactical douche aswell.

If he is still here this will be what? the 3rd summer we thought he was a goner but got a new contract in the last minute.
-
Because the logic behind FFP has got more holes than the logic of us keeping Torres.
-
95% of United fans i have spoke to about this are more than happy to see Rooney leave for £20m, even to us. That alone should be a serious warning sign. Would they have said the same in 2008? no chance.

Tbf it's a really clever way of going about things, Torres has a £100m release clause

Arturo Lupoli Arsenal fans thought he was the next Henry, Italy were pining their future hopes on him and Rossi (atleast one made the grade). Know where he is now? playing for Grosetto who just got relegated from Serie B last season, his goal record their so far stands at 2 goals in 19 games. This guy alone is why i struggle to take Arsenal seriously when they hype players up as the next big thing, for one Fabregas their's a group that involves this guy, Pennant and Alliadiere.

I think a lot forget about the concept during the summer, hench the rush of people saying Lukaku will get no game time if we sign a new forward.
-
@, I disagree, Aanholt's easier to watch on the eye for a neutral, but Bertrand is way ahead of him in terms of actual defending (which PVA is a borderline joke at).

Judging by some comments i have been reading this summer (not just here, everywhere) and some of the dialogue i have been having with supporters for real, i genuinely believe some won't rest until Gotze, Thiago and Neymar are are alternatives for those 3

Having talent is just a part of the equation, to be "good enough" you have to have a lot more, one of my friends i grew up with is good enough to be a championship footballer if you only bring talent into the equation but do you know where he is? stacking shelves in Tesco's. On talent alone Josh and Kakuta would be regular starters for most teams in Europe, but the mental side of things seem to be screwing those two up. It's not easy to randomenly put in young players at a top club where the pressure is so huge, even Fergie who's job security was higher than mine on fifa career mode with easy board difficulty wouldn't risk Cleverly and Welbeck until they had successful PL loans, Pogba never got much of a look in and United but since he has left his talent has shone through. To break in these days at Chelsea ot the Manchester clubs as a young player you need to be very patient and more often than not that usually requires loans. Obviously the club needs to play their part, but most players we have let go wouldn't have made it regardless (Sinclair, Mancienne). The bit where we do fall short however is using our academy for squad depth (Cork imo would have been ideal for that role).

The players we supposedly ruined weren't even good enough anyway, otherwise their talent would have shone through when we let them go (ie Matic). Despite contrary belief we don't cock up with young players as often as general opinion believes. Matic is the exception but the way a lot bang on i would think we make an error on that scale every season.

Emenalo and the rest of the board are doing a fantastic job.
-
Are Welbeck and Evans Man.Utd quality? You can't have a 25 man squad full off world class talent.
-
Whether that's true or not is entirely down to him.
-
Just to think, if he carried on from his early form with us, this page would be littered with members shitting it about Barca activating the release clause.

It really annoys me when the weak league line is used to bellitle a player who has had a really good season, the same happened with Falcao and look how he turned out. Fair enough if it was (no disrespect) the Northern Irish 4th division, but this is a top European League Yilmaz has torn to pieces these last 2 years. In my book their is the obvious four league's in Europe that are the best, then it is between the Turkish, Portuguese and France (maybe the Dutch league). 67 goals in 82 games over the last two season's, not too shabby at-all.

Why do the media make out it's a bad thing the board have a big say in our signing's? most clubs in Europe do that now days. I remember when we tried to sign Modric with no manager every one was making out that we are doing things against what football is about then a year on Levy actually signs Sigurdson and Vertonghen without a manager in place and is praised by the same people for proactiveness
-
He was great for us in the 04-05 season. 05-06 he lost 'something' and i felt we let him go at the right time.
-
Its also a warning against signing Wayne Rooney this summer.
-
Forget him and go for Yilmaz.
-
Just shows how ITK the media really are, they didn't have a fucking clue about this
-
You can add Man.Utd to that list now.

Courtois has made his name as one of the best keepers in Europe, he won't come back to here to make appearances here and there, when he comes back it will be to replace Cech not deputize for him.

Were any of those players #1 at a big club at the age of 20? Look at RVP he joined Arsenal 3rd choice behind Bergkamp and Henry and had to bide his time, he wasn't undisputed number 1 until he was 25. Lukaku has scored loads for a mid table team, but so has Demba Ba. That alone doesn't mean he will break scoring records at Chelsea. Infact Forsell got the same amount of goals in less appearances on loan to Birmingham in 03/04, imagine if we put all our eggs in that basket and didn't sign Drogba? Yes he has had a very good season at WBA and because of that he will have a chance to impress as a member of the squad, he might have to bide his time to the same extent RVP but if he lives up to his potential, he will be our number 1 one day, just not yet.
