  1. I'm cautiously optimistic as I expected him to walse back in after a game of doing the basics but I still can't shake of the fear as soon as he has a Villa away esque impact from the bench we're back to him starting unconditionally until it gets beyond bad again.
  2. His fitness has never been the best. I remember the United/Chelsea game where Alonso scored he was everywhere for the first 15 minutes but could barely move as the second half went on.
  3. For me it's he will never be the star man himself but has the attributes to co exist with star attackers and compliment their skillset. A bit like what Pedro did at Barcelona and with us in Conte's title season, unfortunately we don't have anyone on the level of Messi, Hazard or Villa.
  4. Wait for the pundits to say "Lukaku would have finished these chances" without factoring in we don't create this volume of chances with him playing.
  5. "Chelsea are rushing Liverpool's back line, bright start by Chelsea pushing up the pitch" Tears in my eyes.
  6. This is a guy who rates himself on par with Benzema, Suarez and Lewandowski. He probably genuinely thinks this on par with dropping Drogba for a final.
  7. I bet there will be a substantial difference in class in the way Kepa handles being dropped compared to how Lukaku does.
  8. I love a laugh at Spurs as much as anyone but this is Conte's MO, he'd behave like this even if he was at City. There's a reason he's had to resort to going to Spurs in the first place despite still being in or around his prime, all the big cats have come to the conclusion he just simply isn't worth the hassle.
  9. All of a sudden looking fluid and winning the ball high up, I wonder what's happened.
  10. Thats a start but it means nothing if he comes on stat pads against tired legs and is rewarded with a start against Liverpool. This has to be an extended spell out of the team and if he has anything and I mean anything about him he'll come back chomping at the bit to right this wrong. Sadly history suggests he will do the total opposite.
  11. That's funny I have not seen you act as a wannabe lawyer for Saul Niguez when he's be criticised, why is that?
  12. It's fucked because it's actually testament to how good a coach Tuchel is that he's still keeping results good inspite of his presence but I can't praise him for it because he's basically putting out a fire he's repeatedly starting. I'm genuinely contemplating not giving the club another penny until he is gone. The thought of my hard earned money going towards his wages makes me wants to throw up.
  13. I'd be surprised if we get much of the latter with him starting the crunch games. I have little hope for next week due to him likely lasting the 90/120 and I've even got doubts we'd get past Lillie (forget even competing with Bayern or City with this clown leading the line). I agree we will still get top four as as much as Tuchel is infuriating me for picking him his coaching quality will still ensure we pick up enough points inspite of him. I really hope Conte pushes for him and we don't stubbornly adopt a no sell to rival stance. I truly believe in karma (I believe the January clashes were Conte's for his behaviour in the last few months here) and I believe Lukaku will lose most if not every match he ever plays against us again.
  14. Ex footballers doesn't mean they're the Oracle, Tim Sherwood pinned Maguire's struggles on Varane. A 4x relegated player struggling so it must mean the World Cup and 4x UCL winner is holding him back. Furthermore system tax can only be remotely plausible if a player does their bit. Lukaku is lazy, hides (hence 7 touches) and can't control a football. And that's before we mention he rates himself on par with Benzema, Suarez, Lewandowski and Kane, the latter of whom fed on scraps himself yesterday yet still managed 2 goals and a defense splitting through ball. When Gabby Agbonlahor had 8 touches in one half playing for bottom of the table Villa away to Spurs he was mocked on national TV yet when Lukaku does less over 90 in a team that dominates the ball it's excuse after excuse after excuse by so called experts, it's ridiculous. Furthermore Shearer should have known better, he's a player that still delievered with Souness as his manager and Jermaine Jenas as his "service", great striker do it under any manager, any system, any circumstances.
  15. Unfortunately we don't play defenders as shit as Pablo Mari every week. The signs were there even against Villa, we created little and were kept in the game by Mendy (in no small part thanks to Villa utilising the holes created by Lukaku not pressing), that game Lukaku actually took his chances, but it was never sustainable as it has since proved.
  16. If Lukaku needs specific conditions to achieve even basic competence then he's a fundamentally shit footballer. Harry Kane fed on scraps today yet still managed to cause City absolute nightmares. If we go back and watched Diego Costa's games for us they'll be many times he wasn't played in when we could have been, even by Cesc, but he still kept going and often got his reward.
  17. We use to be a great pressing team. We gave it up to accomodate Lukaku.
  18. Azpi scored that offside goal against his Cardiff side which effectively sent them down, it's so what this is about.
  19. Ziyech been our best attacker of late. Reward = dropped. Lukaku looks awful against a team few heard of before recently (don't care he finally netted from 3 yards that's bare minimum requirement for a record signing). Reward = another start.
  20. Don't believe you. I'm reliable informed you need world class service in every position behind you to do the basics if you're a striker.
  21. This is a guy who leaked his United teammates confidential records, he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt.
  22. We had that In abundance but decided to abandon it to accommodate a wanker who doesn't even want to be here.
  23. Tuchel will destroy his amazing work with his Lukaku obsession and he will have no one to blame but himself.
  24. It was actually quite depressing watching the Porto final back knowing Rom's presence will likely see to any chance of a repeat.
