When did Saul sneak on? Genuinely didn't realise until that failed lobbed pass at the end.

Tuchel has a habit of making decision that look bizzare but tend to work. Hopefully this is another.

He can't even if we say he can, facing your parent club has never been allowed in the FA Cup even when it was allowed in the league (I remember Wenger let Jermaine Pennant face Arsenal in the league and wanted to allow the same in the cup but the FA overruled him). It's the League Cup where the club has the power to say yes or no.

I think they panicked at the lack of goals last season and wanted a guaranteed tally (which comically we haven't even got). As Kai has shown of late, we should have held our nerve and committed to him in that position.
-
In general I wanted the away goal rule to stay but it's what could help us this time. Also Ancelotti has a habit of allowing big comebacks, an early goal in Spain and its game on.
-
Not for me. We should do what we should have done last summer and fully commit to Kai as a striker. Getting the right inside forwards around him should be the biggest priority.
-
I actually think we still have a chance if Ancelotti goes as defensive in the second leg as he did in the second half tonight.

"Embrace his flaws because he will finish his chances"

They are never going to. 5 points behind us, have have much harder schedule and still have to play at Stamford Bridge. The sweeping statements about Arsenal every time we drop points is ridiculous. Spurs are the one with an outside chance if Conte keeps up this momentum but even that would still give us the same result (UCL football) so meh.

Sadly I think Messi and Neymar have enough power to veto this. Our big hope is Simeone (again).

Protests will go in one ear and out the other. Boycotting matches on the other hand....

Drinkwater was someone I called completely wrong. I mean I knew the price was a bit too much but I honestly thought in Conte's system he'd be a decent cog especially given his previous partnership with Kante. Although that said even if he turned out to be a hit he was always going to be toast when Sarri came along.

I hope not, as a fan base we're far too emotionally driven as we saw with both Lampard and Jose's sackings. If the fans had a serious say from 2003 onwards Ranieri would still be here.
-
Lukaku would have stood on the edge of the box (which is what he was doing anyway instead of running into the gaping space to give Kai the option to square it) then would have complained the pass wasn't right when his touch set up a Newcastle counter attack.
-
Hopefully the idea of Rice flies straight out of the window. A £100m stylistic misfit two years in a row would be criminal.
-
I just can't shake of the paranoia Lukaku will get another chance once he has an appearance of the bench like Villa away. If he doesn't then great news, genuinely believe we have a chance of retaining the UCL with Kai up top.

I've blacklisted anyone who has used this war as an excuse to score cheap points. Won't give them the time of the day again.

If Kepa finds a new home would it be that far fetched to see him return and be the cup keeper?

https://www.sitdownorwellstealyourclub.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7236 MK Dons fans are practically in love with him.

Before this my train of thought was it was the right time to let him leave but after this I feel we need every bit of continuity we can get.
-
Could quite easily be playing himself into the shop window. There was genuine debate over whether his form was him half arsing it or whether he was actually done.
-
A little bit harsh. As someone who saw through this chancer close to a decade ago we all have our fuck ups.
-
To add further Lancashire as a whole has been a 'happy place for us in the Roman era. Ewood and especially The Reebok we had sensational records at, hopefully Blackburn come back up.

One of the (many) reason's I didn't want him and his actions at Christmas came to no surprise.
