That's why Tuchel needs to be ruthless for the league cup final, especially if it's Liverpool.
-
Ole Gunner Solskjaer won at this stadium three times in a row. Yes they're better but to write this off as free hit is ridiculous. And even if we are going to lose, atleast make a game of it and make some element of it enjoyable.
-
This English club obsession with being a doormat and supporting whatever is thrown at you is why so many clubs have owners like Ashley, Glazers, Kroenke tearing into it.
-
I'm this close to turning off games Rom plays. He's holding us back more than Torres.
-
Now Lukaku is messing up the one thing he's suppose to be good at. If his place can even be remotely justified he has to score those.
-
Because they picked the player's for a pressing/fluid game, we haven't. That and Arteta wasn't their micromanaging them.
-
Because he's cocked up about 5 chances on the counter and his presence murders our pressing game.
-
I don't mind that decision too much in itself. He was poor at Spurs and should be held accountable. But on the same note why wasn't Lukaku?
-
Over 38 games? Maybe not, in one off games absolutely. Ole Gunner Solskjaer had a 100% record in this ground.
-
If Tuchel is insistent on making Lukaku an untouchable, change our style and set us up like a modern version of Rafa Liverpool's and channel everything towards him like they did with Torres. He's out of his depth in a possession/ pressing based system.
-
That quality level of pressing was us pre Rom.
-
He hasn't. If he did Rom would be super sub here at absolute best.
-
City are great but not unbeatable, we did it times in a row and even Solskjaer managed to pull off a 100% record at The Ethiad. My confidence or lack off in this game will come in the line-up more than any I can remember recently. As close to the same line-up we saw in Porto as possible and I'll have genuine belief we can get something out of this.
-
If he last the 90 on Saturday I hold Tuchel fully responsible for any dropped points.
-
The local Manchester paper did an article practically praying he starts.
-
So we're back to Lukaku becoming immune to being subbed, depressing.
-
The answer is in Burnley. Dwight McNeil will be a good wingback and crucially give us some variety with our options.
-
While I'm sure he's grateful for the opportunity Saints have given him I wonder if he's thinking what might have been had he held his nerve. He would have been an absolute shoe in starter at the minute.
-
Other times I would agree but the title is a very long shot and we're in the top four relatively comfortably.
-
Could improvise a bit and maybe look for wingers with good aptitude to play at wingback, that way we'll have have a good variety once everyone is back fit. Adama and McNeil are two obvious candidates if we can get Wolves and Burnley respectively down to decent prices. The thought of more Emerson is so depressing, we've seen enough sample size to know he isn't cutting it.

As it happens I've watched Plymouth a few times a season and they are a very good team at League One level, they also play with wingbacks and have a very modern approach so it won't be an attack vs defense game. Their young keeper Michael Cooper i personally believe will be playing for England eventually and he most certainly will be the prem sooner rather than later. Very good shot stopping and excellent distribution under pressure.

Vaccines have made less almost every illness ever to exist on earth. Find it quite bizzare that people can still look at that and be like "nah not buying it". And on that bombshell time to watch the news, need to know what I've got to do today.

The funniest thing is, if the goverment REALLY wanted the control that the conspiracy theoriest claim they're working towards it could be done within weeks, if not days. And if they are actually working towards a North Korea esque new normal they're doing a shit job of it as apart from Christmas (when Covid in my family saw to the usual routine) I've had total normality in my life since last July.
