You don't need to imagine, he's played in one for the last 10 months.

Problem is for me, we've seen the levels of potential exponential increase very very few times in the last two season's. Admittedly one of those times was a UCL semi but there's only so long even that can give you credit in the bank. With Pulisic we're seeing major issues that very rarely get fixed with age. His vision is non existent and he has a real inability to see anything beyond 10-20 yards of him not to mention how often he fails to release the ball at the right time and that's if he's getting involved in the game atall (I have lost count in the amount of times I've forgot he was even playing). Players who have had those issues at a similar age just tend to go on an endless cycle of mini spells but largely flattering to decieve (Walcott, SWP, Willian etc).
-
That's the sticking point for me. If we can't get shot of him (and to an extent Pulisic) it will be hard for me to get hyped for the new season regardless of what we do incoming wise.
-
I hope not, both went up a level when Tuchel allowed them freedom to roam more in the middle. As hug the touchline wingbacks both are average in an attacking sense.
-
Sorry but absolute bollox was the UCL win lucky in anyway shape or form. We absolutely battered both Madrid sides, were comfortable against Porto and if anything should have won the final by even more than 1. We equalled the UCL goals allowed record and were behind for a grand total of five minutes for the entire tournament, four in a dead rubber group game and one in a second leg match we were winning comfortably overall. It's bad enough this nonsense comes from rival fans.
-
When have we last seen that though? Most of those type of runs end up with him running for too long and bumping into the defender. Callums form in the Autumn and performances against Villa and Spurs trump anything we've seen of Pulisic performance wise for a while, granted the latter is a much better finisher.
-
One was dropped in great autumn when he was building momentum then he was a gamechanger against both Villa and Spurs before he was injured. The other has been given an obscene more amount of chances.
-
Pulisic gets away with murder when you consider the stick the likes of Callum, Alonso and Jorgi get (all have contributed more this season). For a while I understood it restart credit in the bank and all that but he needs to start getting scrutinised. He's been the American Iwobi for the last two season with a few exceptions.
-
It's not as linear as that. Klopp took two and a half years (and the best GK, CB and CDM in the world) to break away from the level we're currently at.
-
Pulisic and Lukaku? I think I'm tapping out.
-
Are we going to regret selling Tammy Abraham?
Tomo replied to MouSpirit's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Just like Lukaku before him, hes a good goal getter and I'm glad he's doing well for himself but I don't particularly miss him and I can't ever see him leading the line at a club regularly challenging for the big two. I really hope we resist the urge to buy back this time, would be totally unnecessary. If we're going to insist on bringing back academy players Livramento (if he recovers well from his injury) and Olise are the one's we should be looking at. -
It's hardly a flat back 5, at times we're playing RLC at wingback.
-
I very much doubt it, he won't want the PL asterisk the likes of Sheva and Falcao have got.
-
If only Joelinton being a world class CM was spotted before their takeover. He would have been perfect for us in that area.
-
Sadly I think you're right. Honestly getting sick of this guy. He's a decent finisher (scaled for our standards) but the sheer amount of games he ghosts is utterly obscene.
-
I'm inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt here, not even he would be silly enough to do this before a cup final after finally winning back a small bit of goodwill (in general, he's got a long way to go until he gets there with me). I think his agent has either been baited into the chat or gone rogue.
-
To be honest I think he was better last season even if the stats say otherwise.
-
I don't doubt he'll score goals but will it be enough to counter what they will lose in fluidity, pressing etc? There's a very good reason Klopp hasn't brought an out and out 9 even when Firmino couldn't hit a barn door. I wasn't worried about present day CR7 going back to United for the same reason, he's been superb individually but look at where United are. Remember the game at The Bridge this season? The way they totally strangled us out of the game? They instantly lose that with Haaland.
-
Honestly in the context of Pep's system I'd be a lot more worried if they signed Felix or went into the season with Alvarez as the forward (who from what I've seen is tailor made for a Pep false 9). Signing Haaland means they have to alter a (likely) back to back title winning formula and while he won't flop like Rom has done we have already demonstrated that the poacher to finish what is created logic is flawed at best. That said, he may be the difference that gets them over the line in Europe but I think week by week they may suffer a bit with the tactical changes required. Unfortunetly unless we have a spectacular summer window it would only suit Liverpool. Could actually see a RVN at United type situation here, is excellent individually and scores a lot of goals but still feels like a square peg.
-
What happened there do you reckon? He was excellent going forward at youth level from wingback. I know first team football is a different ball game but it's quite the drastic change all the same. Maybe we'll see him at RCB with Reece at wingback which would be very surreal because I always imagined it being the other way round.
-
It's literally like Torres again. Finally does the basics and anyone who dared criticise him are apparently in the mud and been proved wrong. Didn't see this energy about after Saul's performance vs Spurs.
-
Granted I'm being a bit lazy here (of the back of this Rangers game) but could Tavernier be an option for a new RWB?
-
Last I heard it was the opposite and they feel he still has the flaws he was released for.
-
No doubt once he's left he'll moan about how our expectations of him were too high and how he was unfairly given few chances after his 7 touch masterclass. Well Romelu if you want the type of workrate exception Eden Hazard got then you also have to produce to the level he did pal, can't have your cake and eat it.
