I can't speak for anyone else but for me the difference between stats and the others I mentioned, is Stats overtime has proved himself as a top contributor who occasionally lost his rag at other's, is it right he did? Most defiantly not, however when balanced with what he offered as a whole, I'm not sure it was a banning offense. The others I mentioned however are a total different kettle of fish, all they post is their negative attention seeking bile and it brings down the tone of the forum (which ultimately my concern for this place as a whole is the reason I make posts like these, I don't have any driven vendetta against staff members or even those trolls per se, just their actions which put a damper on this place). Not even negative posters per se are a problem for me, for example lionsden who atleast would explain his POV (although ironically I think he was banned under similar circumstances to stats) I never had issue with, but people like Bellion/Gullit who post things like "the board are wankers" after they saw the sun link on of our targets to Everton or Didierforever who demanded Jose out incessantly for months on the basis of one team selection then comincally backtracked and blamed the players the moment he got his wish, those are the type that, in my opinion, need to be culled early and in the long run this will be a better place for it and I genuienly believe we will attract many more quality new posters and in time this place can be as good if not better than it was when I joiined 2011 and by all accounts the years prior to that too.

Although he is past it now and am totally glad he has left us and we have Conte, i have never quite got that argument. KDB aside, i don't look at a single player he sold to build the title winning team and think we could seriously do with him. Lukaku despite his goal record has too many flaws and Costa is better, Schurrle is average, Mata is overrated. The title team was still relatively young and with a decent transfer market and proper pre season planning we could have quite easily gone again and retained the title, but we didn't, we had a shit pre season (on the pitch and in training methods), manager alienating his team and spending all summer chasing dreams in Pogba and Stones when Alderweireld, Clyne and Witsel/Aranguiz would have sufficed.

I know Stats crossed the line a bit a few times, but considering the amount of chances Zolayes, Bushman, Bellion and that Gullit fella did, was it actually that bad? The latter was trolling the forum for months and it only took until he branded Chelsea fans rentboys (which i would say almost certainly exposed him as a rival fan in the process) for action to finally be taken. Is losing it in the heat of the moment really detrimental to this forum the way that all the trolls above (who zolayes aside probably supported rival clubs, i mean, an ex United player as his username, really?) making this place look untidy and an awful place to visit. I have lost count of the amount of times i have seen a thread updated looking forward to see some decent analysis on the topic (be that the Jose thread, player database, transfer rumours etc) and it's turned out to be full of post's from people similar to the four i just mentioned talking there usual bolax. Over my time here, i understand and appreciate that the staff (you included) do youre best and have to deal with some shit, but that doesn't mean we can't voice any concerns, does it? The trolls issue and the issue re Stats two concerns of mine. I often visit opposition forum's when we are in the run up or just played them, and occasionally trolls show up there, difference is they get dealt with and are banned within their first few post's, this place would have been such a better place if people like Bellion, Blue Mourinho King, Didierforever, Gullit and Bushman got culled within 10 post's, because there is no way potential new members don't scour this forum see poster's like that and think, fuck that. Infact the main reason i came here instead of CFC net in the first place was because of this.

It's not really harsh on Alonso tbh, he will do for now but I hope we can find an upgrade soon, he isn't a very good defender and in a flat back four he would get exposed probably more than Ivanovic did.

My main memory of Wigan's 3-4-3 was the win away at Arsenal in 2012 and if I recall correctly it was Boyce at wing back and Moses on the wjng.

Hes surprisingly top notch defensively. High up in the final third he still can make some poor decisions that remind me why i never liked him as a winger. Wingback is almost made for him and it makes me wonder why no one has tried it before with him.

With Terry so unsuited to this formation he is immediate back up atleast until January, so might aswell give him a few minutes when game almost done as opposed to having to throw him in after weeks without action

Antonio has only had two stabs at CL so bit early to judge on how well his system is in that competition, after all no one was beating the Bayern side that knocked him out and even in the group stage elimination they had one game were they outplayed Real and were unlucky to not win. The thing the wingback system gives is it can be as good as having two extra players on the pitch when implemented right, ajd it can he very hard to create against it.

By the look of the last few games we have 15 players that can play in the new system and that's the starting lineup vs United plus Willian, Nate, Begovic and Bats the rest for various reasons simply don't fit in. So January Isn't even about getting world class players or even instant first Xl improve in, its about signing more depth for the new system especially at wingback.

Let's just say there is a reason Pep kept picking him and it took someone as extraordinary as Suarez to kick him on the bench. As you alluded too his game compliments technical players quite well, and with a positive attacking system in place could link up and compliment Hazard like he did Messi. Last season he was being told/asked to make things happen, not his game, it's like signing Dybala and telling him to play on the shoulder of the last defender.

He seems to be doing alright at CM, and taking over from Mikel as the go to player to shore things up as well as being the immediate cover for Matic/Kante. Also as much as i am not a fan of Cahill and want him replaced in the long run the back 3 of Cahill, Luiz and Azpi has worked fairly well.
