  1. They're pretty close in terms of DOB but Sancho left school and became full time pro a year before CHO did which triggered my comparison between Callum's season under Sarri and Jadon's very first at Dortmund, as it was their respective 17 turn 18 season's. I don't disagree that CHO needs to step it up a bit more consistently now (especially in the league as you say) but i do believe he well and truly has the capability to be showing a level similar to what Sancho is. Hopefully he kicks on from what was a very strong January before he was injured again.
  2. Hudson Odoi 18/19 5 goals in 24 games (can't remember assists but I think it's 5/6) Sancho at the same age 1 goal in 12 games.
  3. Thinking about it he's been stupidly unlucky this last year. In the Sarri season he was on a similar trajectory to Sancho then had that awful injury. Then after a few months getting back upto speed he finally looks back in a position where he's going to kick on and become a game changer for us he gets the fucking coronovirus. I really hope he's ready for next season because if Sancho goes United we will really need him to step up a gear consistently.
  4. I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt he would have learned his lesson
  5. Idk I personally think the halt came at the worst possible time for us. Billy's emergence and the performances against Liverpool and Everton gave us some serious momentum and I felt we were lining ourselves up for a really strong finish, to add further alongside Billy's emergence Mason and Kepa were returning to form, Barkley and Oli were hitting a hot streak while Willy and Pedro were well and truly geared up and motivated for a last horrah. The Villa game was genuinely the most confident I felt for a comfortable win since during Conte's title season. Had we carried on from there then Frank would have had no choice but to leave Kante on the bench when he returned, now he's probably back to first name on the teamsheet when the league kicks off again. Also the odds of Ross and the experienced front three all being on the same rich vein of form they were in is next to none. When the season restarts all that strong momentum we were building and picking up ahead of steam will be well and truly lost.
  6. Given the amount of people he's been in contact with throughout this period it would have been a bigger shock if he didn't get it!
  7. Dont think using the term good is appropriate under the circumstances but the UK have tailed off a bit re Italy's projection in deaths, few days ago we were neck and neck and now nearly 400 behind (at the same stage). I guess at this point it's all about looking for the small battles. Still a long way to go but Italy's numbers going down is certainly a small baby step as would China slowly getting back to normality without another mass outbreak. Seriously concerned about Spain though, can't believe how badly it's escalated there.
  8. I had Mount down as the cringey celebrations guy going forward, guess I was wrong
  9. Could the season potentially rumbling on into July give him some leverage? I hope not (i don't dislike Willian atall but it's the right time to leave) but i feel it is a possibility.
  10. I have brought more pasta and tin food than usual just incase ( not an obscene amount but enough just incase the unthinkable happens) but instead of bulk buying i do it when i'm passing a certain shop just 1 or 2. Bulk buying in one go is selfish in my opinion.
  11. Worst case scenario could be next calendar year although from what I'm hearing things are getting slowly back to normal in South Korea so hopefully we won't be too far behind. Never realised how much I've been taken football for granted in recent years till now, atleast through summer months you have a definitive return date, will cherish every second once we get it back, even another 15/16 season is better than nothing. On a side note if the league gets voided do all the results and stats go with it? Would be a shame for the win Vs Arsenal and especially the wins vs Spurs to get voided now.
  12. If they enforce it they'll threaten the owners with their license if they disobey.
  13. From what I'm hearing the season has to finish else they'll void it and go back to last season's placings. Which will mean if City's ban goes through Arsenal get a CL place, surely that means they have to reinstate Emery?
  14. Just watched the highlights again and lol Trent got put in his place by Morata of all people The latter squared up to him and the former shat himself.
  15. Im always wary giving a definitive judgement on a defender who's played under Simeone. As much as he can make the best strikers look shit he can make really average defenders look outstanding (Trippier and Savic).
  16. Not sure how anyone can want Simeone here, the lack of ideas going forward from Atleti is mental.
  17. Yeah with him and Pedro starting to hit form feels like we could get a perfect swansong from them both.
  18. The CL is more than just about winning it. If we somehow did it next week we'd have that memory forever even if we lost the quarter 12-0.
  19. By all means call off games for later if a whole squad is quarintened but to call of domestic football totally is too much in my opinion. The risk of an under 50 dying of Cov19 is 0.2%, if you haven't been to China then decreases spectacularly, if you don't have underlying health problems that goes down further and I imagine for a fit and healthy athlete further still. Not to mention they are probably all taking nessesery precautions. The players are more likely to lose their life travelling to a match than they are to the virus. If it ultimately comes to it they can have the players and subs playing with just cameramen while any (at risk) coaches can manage through Skype or something.
  20. Because it's not the 6th game of the group with our fate already decided, there's still a chance, it may be 1/100 but still a chance. Imagine if we played a scratch side, Bayern had a shocker and we won 1-0 on the night, we would forever be kicking ourselves knowing if we played our best available team we would have probably done the impossible. Furthermore there's more to be gained from this game even beyond that, making a game of it and giving Bayern a scare (like say what Liverpool did to us in the second leg in 09 after we battered them at Anfield) could in itself be something for our young players to build on.
  21. Behind closed doors is an understandable (and correct) course of action. Suspending league's in my opinion is just too much.
  22. Well it kind of goes hand in hand, Bayern wouldn't have offered him and us such a mega deal if he didn't have elite potential. If Google exchange rate isn't lying to me he would have jumped immediately in at number 2 for their most expensive signing ever, falling to number 3 when Hernandez joined. https://sillyseason.com/list/bayern-munich-most-expensive-signings-131572/
  23. 120k a week basic is the rumoured wage which really isn't that obscene when you consider inflation, his potential and the leverage he had. We sign a standard squad player in his place and we're paying around that much pw for him too and unlike with Callum, there's no elite potential to go with it. Way everyone bangs on you'd think we've done an Alexis. We aren't the first and won't be the last club to take calculated gambles on elite potential, like I said United are rumoured to be handing 100k a week alongside a £50m transfer fee to a kid with one season's championship experience. Data is so far advanced these days it isn't actually that hard for fans to work out who's going to make it at this level let alone coaches/scouts, that's why we "caved in" to Callum and sent Solanke on his way, that's why perreniel penny pinchers Bayern were happy to spunk £35m for him at a point he had two career starts.
  24. Kakuta wasn't even that good and McEachran was talented but passive. Put it this way, his little brother is better than he was, however he's not on our radar regarding first team promotion while Josh was considered our next big hope. Aswell as that demonstrating just how much our academy has improved it also shows just how desperate we were for a talent to come through. Now we've actually got a score of elite prospects coming through the ranks there's no need to pretend whoever today's versions of Kakuta and Bamford are something they're not.
