  1. He had a bit of a nightmare few minutes when he gave two stupid balls away and let Hughes do him in quick succession but other than that he's been fine not vintage RJ but perfectly fine all things considered.
  2. Why are people make out Reece is playing like Bakayoko reborn? Am I missing something here?
  3. It's genuinely getting to the point I hope the board goes behind Lampard's back and sells Kante. Tough love is needed here.
  4. If that's what he wants then he better actually get one instead of playing a Pas his prime/not suited to the system box to box player out of position there.
  5. Kante was world class in 2017 that has to come before team cohesion and results!
  6. Seeing Rudi unnecessarily give WHU a corner Wednesday got me thinking, surely there's also ways we can minimize the corners we give away, prevention better than cure and all that. How many goals have we conceded from open play crosses this season? There's Martial's at The Bridge, Richarlison's at Goodison, I imagine a few more somewhere but we don't seem near as vulnerable from them as we do some corners, so maybe play percentages and strategically let more crosses in instead of going all out to block them which often concedes a corner. And then ofcourse there's the obvious one, try everything to prevent a corner, stretch that little bit harder to try and prevent one, even if it means a throw in or even giving the ball back to the opponent's in play. Would be like what teams use to do when facing Stoke in the Delap days, most teams were so petrified of his long throws they would happily take their chances facing a corner or even give Stoke possesion back if it truly came to it. Yes we need to do a lot better on corners but we should also try and minimize the amount given away.
  7. Where exactly is this narrative about CHO's bad attitude coming from? Even when he wanted to leave he was giving us his all when selected, he's also very well liked by the rest of the squad (which wouldn't be the case if his attitude was shit).
  8. Has he been spending lockdown with Mourinho? First ditching the regista's and scrapping our progressive football now this.
  9. What i think should happen Kepa James (purely to give Azpi a breather not on recent merit) Zouma Rudiger (would have been Fik if he was available) Alonso Jorginho/Gilmour Barkley (would have been Kova if he was available) Mount Hudson Odoi/Pedro Giroud Pulisic This is the best lineup tonight when you factor in opponent, merit, team balance, resting player's but we all know Azpi will get ran to the ground, Kante will be put infront of the back 4 and play 90 minutes no matter what, Willian will play again (even though he looks knackered and close to burn out) and i wouldn't even be surprised if Tammy does aswell. We should win tonight 1-0 or 2-1 but it won't be pretty. I really hope i'm wrong. If Frank plays the correct line up then he's done his bit and i won't blame him for any dropped points.
  10. Yeah because replacing him with a "traditional DM" has really tightened things up.
  11. I'd rather Barkley than Kante, and i never thought I'll hear myself say that, feels so surreal. Gilmour, Barkley, Mount midfield tomorrow please with Rudiger and Zouma at the back, return to the core that twatted Everton.
  12. If our brand of football since the restart is the new normal we need all the individual brilliance we can get so sign him up!
  13. But on the flip side, Conte wouldn't have let us leave our box in the cup game vs Liverpool and would then blame the inevitable defeat on injures, whereas Lamps by comparison adjusted and beat them comfortably.
  14. I actually think we would have finished outside the top 4 (in 10/11) if it wasn't for Cech, he was ridiculous that year.
  15. The comparison wasn't with Tammy it was with Callum and the point that if United had to give Greenwood "CHO wages" or face losing him they would do the former without thinking twice.
  16. The thing is they don't (no more than they do the other top 6 anyway). First 30 minutes we were offered a a 3-0 lead on a plate, they were dreadful and looked shit scared of us we but shown no urgency to take advantage which ultimately got their tails up.
  17. If there's a will there's a way, even United managed to find a new home for Alexis.
  18. For God sake. Barkley is a serviceable squad player but that's it.
  19. I'd add the Scolari part of 08/09 to that if you scale for squad quality. He was a truly disastrous appointment and we only kept our heads above water due to having the old guard in their prime to mitigate the damage he was doing. If he was incharge of this squad we'd be bottom half.
  20. So depressing watching City play out so easily knowing we not only have the players to do the same but refuse to but use to actually do it just as well but for some reason have scrapped it.
  21. Yeah that's the one thing we can hold on to, even if this shithouse rely on individual magic is here to stay we will have enough personnel to drag us in Pulisic, Werner, Ziyech and (if he stays fit) CHO.
  22. Come on, I've been as critical as anyone of late but this is nowhere near our worst moment in recent years let alone decades.
  23. Thing is I fully accept this is a process infact I've been branded all sorts for excusing many defeats this season. But the defeats/draws i "glossed over" were ones we played quite well in (even some we didn't) and we didn't win purely because we weren't there yet. Had we yesterday played Gilmour/Jorgi in the base of the midfield, and we tried to play our game of play out from the back, pass and move etc but we were done because we lacked a bit of experience and know how at this stage (like say what happened at home against Arsenal where I went on a one man crusade against people who called that performance shit) then I'd be as happy as it's possible to be after seeing a reverse. It's the fact we've seemed to have abandoned what we're trying to build that's the crux of frustration for me, we're not bothering to play out anymore, we're relying on individual brilliance and even the minutes for the youth players are drying up.
  24. @Mana @Jason Instead of all this back and forth I've got a better idea which will also demonstrate just how much confidence and belief I have in him. I personally think CHO will be a bonafide mainstay in our side (or another elite clubs side) by the time the season after next finishes aslong as he doesn't suffer another big injury or gets injured systematically. If he stays healthy (is fit for selection in atleast 85% of games in the next two season's) and is still in a state of flux I'll donate £100 to forum, if I've got it right you do?
