Inadvertently it may work for us as it allows us to introduce our new signings bit by bit instead of chucking all in and hoping it immediately clicks.
-
You can never tell with Everton, they always seem to be better on paper than in practice.
-
I'll be lowkey interested to see how he gets on on loan, it's hard to tell how good our keepers are at youth level because we're so good they have the square route of fuck all to do. The fact we don't appear to be signing a marquee goalkeeper means if he can successfully climb the divisions like Dean Henderson has there may be an opening for him in a few years.
-
The problem is, even fully fit and in his prime he was never close to world class as a sitting DM and that appears to be where he's going to be playing.
-
Yes. Columbia are a good team and England have a wretched record against Sweden, did well to get to a semi. He won me over around that time but relostmy support since, the last two lineup's have been hopelessly depressing.
-
It's probably why he's being persisted with. Defenders do have a habit of turning WC late 20's and often there's little sign of such a rise bar natural ability, they must be seeing something. I remember Lucio came to The Bridge with Bayern and got toyed with, his next game in our yard was with Inter and he was absolutely collosal.
-
Tbh i was more than happy with Luiz, he had absolutely obscene potential back then and after his first two months i honestly thought he was going to become the best CB we ever had, that performance against City was breathtaking. Even though he didn't live upto that potential (understatement) he still delivered some massive moments for us. Torres was inexhausible, should have in my opinion took the mistake on the chin in January 2012 and got rid.
-
Aguero was basically whoring himself to us, if we made anything resembling a serious play he'd have been ours.
-
Pretty sure Kova is suspended for prem games as it's just domestic not specific to the fa cup Isn't is specific to cup competitions these days? Jorginho played the cup tie vs Liverpool after he got himself suspended in the league.
-
Well if he actives the bonuses then that will mean he's living upto expectations.
-
Ah yeah course (long day). Even so, i can't believe what a bullet we dodged with Rooney at that point (finished at the very top), i can't decide what was more stupid us wanting him or United not biting our hand off.
-
I don't like the PL proven narrative, that's what leads to mindfuck decisions like Torres being chosen ahead of Aguero or Rooney being targeted before Diego Costa (thankgod United saved us from ourselves on that one).
-
Pope must have had a ridiclous second half to the season and before our game in January he had the worst save% bar Kepa.
-
For all his faults at club level he does tend to actually play quite well for England.
-
If we didn't have so many changes to the side this season I'd say give him a shot at CB next to Silva. Maybe as the season goes on and our players gel more we can look at it.
-
Maybe no news is good news?
-
By the looks of the lineup he was playing 343 next to Rabiot so sadly can't be used as a positive indicator as far as playing lone DM at club level is concerned.
-
I am really looking forward to seeing Mount with his new teammates, really feel he's going to complement them well. Although not exactly the same position I kind of get similar vibes to our old boy Pedro when he was at Barcelona. Not as naturally gifted as Pulisic, the new boys or even CHO but still good enough to hold his own and puts in the yards and top players love playing alongside players like that and more importantly, managers love having those type of players on their books.
-
Works both ways. For example, I've never once seen a successful player be pigeonholed as a "board signing" yet almost every player that flops apparently is.
-
Emerson and Giroud, which is even more ironic as they came in the January window that triggered him jacking it in completely (in the league). Conte's still moaning at Inter despite getting nearly 20 new players including his preferred striker and literally the perfect wingback for his system, at this point you have to wonder, what actually will make the guy happy, or even content?
-
Are you implying she identified and targeted Zappacosta herself? The lack of blame Conte gets for those windows is outrageous. Look at our transfers since he's left and then compare them to his at Inter, which party is signing similar profile players to the ones we signed in 17/18? I mean he's even gone after two of them again fgs. It was widely reported Sarri tried to get Kepa at Napoli on the recommendation of Pepe Reina (who played NT with him).
-
Think sports have to go into bubbles else it would cause absolute chaos, the CL for example would be a non starter.
-
Surely got to be one of the Manc clubs? Wouldn't even be newsworthy if we were picked over Arsenal.

Yeah never understood that, this deal has been 99.9% done for weeks.
