  1. As I've told you about 5 times now Boehly isn't even involved in the recruiting aspect.
  2. It's a bigger worry if we're not even urgently looking for a back up (if in worst case Poch wants to run with Kepa). Bettinelli was objectively one of the worst keepers in the Championship when he last played regularly.
  3. Not true. Barcelona finished 3rd and needed a rebuild and City in 15/16 were on a similar points to us after the first few games. Also since he's left Bayern they've sacked three managers because they were on course to do the supposedly impossible and not win the league with them.
  4. You don't win 3 peats in 3 different countries if you're a chancer, regardless of what the team is.
  5. It doesn't but playing in the PL also has no guarantees as we found have found out multiple times in the last couple of years alone. What excites me about Nkunku is not only his skillset but his big game record, he has an excellent record vs Bayern, PSG and City and not only that has turned up in their last two Cup finals. At this point is he any more of a gamble than gambling on Havertz gaining true consistency in this league at the 4th time of asking? Or Mount's bad form being that instead of Dele Alli/Oscar esque early decline? And I say this as someone who would have liked to have seen them under Pochettino (who will be the best manager we've had in a long time in terms of allowing young or young ish players to build momentum).
  6. I think it's fair to say Nkunku is at the very least on a level with those players.
  7. Playing with ten men will be a genuine upgrade on post lockdown Pulisic.
  8. We'd have likely been spared all these constant top four scrambles if we had the peak version.
  9. Such a shame the political climate will stop us from getting him (unless Mudryk has totally contrasting views to Zinchenko).
  10. Literally one of the last acts of the Roman reign was failing to convince two key defenders to stay.
  11. He literally gets cheered to the rafters at The Bridge despite underperforming for 18 months. You really think he'd get similar at Old Trafford?
  12. I'm a little cautious. I like his characteristics as a player but bursting into tears over his near mistake at the world cup is a massive red flag for me.
  13. According to this guys analysis we already have our new striker.
  14. I mean it's literally been a day since we signed one of the best (attainable) attacking players on earth.
  15. I would snap their hand off if we can make a profit. Everytime I watched Carney all I can see is some sort of RLC/Moses hybrid.
  16. That in itself should be cautionary tale as he was the biggest scapegoat under Lampard 1.0.
  17. He hasn't really fixed the soft mentality though. They suffered three history book tonkings and won once away against the top 12 (couldn't even beat us in what was probably our worst ever big game performance at Stamford Bridge).
  18. This could come back to haunt me but I'm really not getting the hype over Ten Hag so far, their football has been no different to Ole's.
  19. It's appearing Wolves will be the best Felix can do if he wants to return to the EPL. Would make the outrage over us (rightly) deciding against signing him permanently even funnier.
  20. But couldn't that work both ways? For example, if we play Kepa next season he'll be playing knowing full well we're (hopefully) replacing him first chance we get.
  21. I disagree, if he does actually refind his 2021 self it would very much be in our best interests to play him. If we took the same stance with Rudiger it would have ended disastrously.
  22. If he stays and intends to walk to United next summer he'll have to perform so it's win win really. He's currently getting the benefit of the doubt for the last 18 months due to everything that's gone on at the club but if he's still playing bad in a more stable environment questions will start to be asked, like is this another Dele Alli situation?
  23. Half right in my opinion. Replacing with Bakayoko was bad but getting £40m for Matic as he was at that point was fantastic business. Does this mean we're finally rid of all the rubbish Conte loaded on the squad?
  24. If a player is that short sighted to base their decision on what could be six games then fuck them.
  25. Really? Ofcourse there's the worry with his injury record but I thought he was very good under Potter/Bruno. Not so much under Lampard, but Lampard tax especially for a CB is real.
