I think you'll find that Pluto was saying he didn't believe that Mourinho was sacked for playing poor football ad that it was an excuse from Chelsea....

Avram's Post Match Interview...Hilarious.!
C'mon the chels replied to warnie_666's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Fortunately I think Liverpool have beaten us to this accolade....maybe if we try hard enough we can achieve it next year though. -
Your last paragraph here is completely different to what you first said. I'm afraid yes you were questioning supporters loyalty without discrimination, without knowing anything about the people on this forum. I'm 29 years old and have been Chelsea all my life, went to my first game when I was 4 with my uncle who has been Chelsea all his life and my dad who also has been Chelsea all his life. Of course there would still be supporters watching Chelsea if were relegation threatened instead of winning the title and some wouldn't, thats just stating the obvious. Its irrational to lash out over plastic supporters as every successful team has them, its the price of success and I'm not concerned with what they do because I know that I have supported Chelsea through relegation and top flight mid table mediocrity and would again. The one thing I will say is that this feeling that you have about rather going back to those days is because you probably don't feel connected with the club the way you used to same as me and everyone else who supported the club pre Roman days. The reason for this loss of connection is because we don't nurture our own talent through the ranks and get success through them, we buy it in. Thats the part that has to change we must start getting some more youngsters coming through the club from the bottom who know what Chelsea is about and who feel a strong connection with the club themselves and the sup[porters will connect with them and feel like its their club again.

That again was my exact point to Warnie who believes thatthey are playing better under Grant because of Grant. -

Perfectly said. Mourinho's biggest weakness was the fact that he could not keep his mouth shut but every season underhim we won silverware. I would take that any day over the bullfrog not upsetting anyone and us not winning a fucking pillow fight. I really can't understand people that say Ballack and joe Cole are now playing much better than under Mourinho - Even if it were true how is it better to have two players performing better but the team not winning anything????? -
I don't know what made me think it but yesterday I thought whoever came in after Mourinho was never ever going to be given an easy ride of it by the fans, and I thought exactley what you said here. Maybe the club knew this and thought lets put an absolute waste of space in, he can take the flak for a season then we'll replace him with someone decent and he'll be given more time as he'll be an improvement on the bullfrog......just conjecture of course and probably not very likely but a possibility.

Grant to have £100 m to spend
C'mon the chels replied to Fulham Broadway's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
You're dead right I do miss the days when beating boro, Wigan or the like was cause for celebration but I guess that thats the price of success, we are expected to beat them (damn Wigan!) so people don't get too high when it happens. Plastic fans - yeah there's tons of them but again its the price of success, if Leeds ever do make it back to the big time (I wouldn't mind renewing that rivalry but not for a while, let them scratch around in the lower leagues for a bit longer for my amusement) then they will suddenly pick up plastic fans as well. Swings and roundabouts man lke you said nothing or no-one is bigger than the club. -
Could it have been any different?

Yes exactley you spoke about the bolton game - 1 game, when anyone in their right mind could stand there all day picking games that Jose changed from a losing to a winning situation with his tactics and could stand there just as long picking games that Grant has done the opposite in in less than 1 season. Don't forget my original point was that Chelsea are still even at this stage in the season on the coat tails of Man utd and I believe that with a manager in Charge such as Jose that could change a game in our favour and proved countless times that he could hold onto a lead, we would be ahead of Man utd now. Thats the point where you chose the 1 Bolton game to use as ammo against that point completely ignoring the countless games that we had won from losing situations! You are completely off base - I never once said Mourinho was god or ignored his mis givings if you bothered to ask me or anyone who knows me thay will tell you that 2 weeks before Mourinho left I said he is on his way because he can't keep his mouth shut and its damaging the club. And again I don't sit there booing Grant or the team when things do not go our way or sing Mourinho's name in similar circumstances, I merely say that you cant argue with the FACT (and thats maybe a word you should try and become familiar with) that the statistics and experience of the previous 3 years show me enough to beleive that in Key games this season where we lost winning situations, more often than not Mourinho would have held on to the win putting us in pole position. And please don't try to convince me that Grant has turned Ballack from a poor performer last year to a good performer this year because that is complete nonsense based on you are ignoring the vital piece of information that last season was Ballacks first in the EPL and it would traditionally take a season for a player to adapt, although not in every case but in most. Ballack was a world class performer at Bayern and we are still to see that kind of form but as he becomes used to the EPL he is recovering. Absolutely nothing to do with Grant. -
Grant to have £100 m to spend
C'mon the chels replied to Fulham Broadway's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Probably. Everyone is reacting to a story in the daily Mirror, even if he does spend £100m I actually think we will be recouping 80% of that in the sale of some big players as well. Roman will have to make money available whoever is in charge, based on the fact that so many will be leaving. Its more likely that someone has been asked the direct question 'Will money be available to spend pre season?' and someone from Chelsea said yes and the journo's have started the story from there leaving the only truth as there will be money to spend. Don't read too much into it, like I said money will have to be available whoever is in charge but that doesn't mean it will be the Bullfrog. The other point to take into account is the journo's have smelt blood for a long time (Grants that is) and will pick the week before our biggest week of the season to ask very difficult questions, the answers to those questions at this time are not going to be 'We aren't giving Grant any money because he won't be here' right before we play Man utd and Liverpool in the semi finals of the CL. -

What are you on? Firstly pal don't ask me where I was last season or for the last 23 seasons as the answer is stamford bridge. Secondly if you are going to try and convince anyone here that Mourinho lost more winning situations in his four years than the special needs one has in less than a season then you may as well give up now. Last season when we hit our sticky patch around Christmas time we had the smallest squad of players we have had for many years, we were playing ferreira and Essien at centreback as we had no other fit ones. This season the special needs one has had a far bigger squad of players to bail him out when he needs it and he still manages to fuck it up. Thirdly I don't understand if you are agreeing that Jose didn't make changes to the first 11 or not and then you state that he made some ordinary buys as usual. In fact he didn't make any buys they were all free transfers as Roman had closed his wallet! Fourth. Are you seriously suggesting that the special needs one has taken a team 6/7th in the league and made them into title conteders. We were 6/7th in the league in September 1 month into the season how can you even contemplate judging Mourinho against Grant based on 1 month of this season and ignoring Mourinho's previous 3? Come back when you know what you're talking about. I'm not surprised at where we are as Fulham Broadway used the Rolls Royce anallergy earlier, Grant has taken over a precision piece of engineering which is driving itself at the minute but soon enough it will need direction from the driver and Grant cannot provide that. Even when Mourinho left I fully expected Chelsea to take some silverware, and we still may, but the fact remains we are dangerously close to no silverware and that is plainly because of Avram Grants poor tactics in the Carling Cup Final, His shocking team selection and poor motivation in the FA cup against Barnsley and some horrendous decision making in key league matches. -
Did he seriously say that? I swear the guy must be replaying something else he has seen in his head over and over again rather than watching what Chelsea are doing.....could explain the constant vacant look on his fat ugly boat race. And yes FB the Rolls Royce metaphor is exactely what I'm trying to say....although not very elegantly. I think the Rolls royce will drive to Moscow but god knows what will happen when we get there.

Jesus CM, I'm pissed off too but don't you think you are lashing out a bit? Before the match I fully expected us to beat Wigan, I knew we would play shit and it would be dire football as it has been for a while now, but I still expected us to at least scrape the three points. Truth is based on our performances we should have been out of the title race and the champions league a long time ago but we aren't so I will still remain optimistic and hope we can take at least one trophy, however based on performance I think we will be trophyless.

Could it have been any different?
C'mon the chels replied to misschief's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Would it have been any different? We'll see at the end of the season, if we are trophyless then yes it would have been different. Also we look like running Man utd to the last day of the season for the league title (mathematically only), with jose in charge I believe we would have regained the title by the skin of our teeth. Man utd went all out to improve their squad and their first 11 pre season which brought them on a par with the Chelsea first 11. Chelsea didn't improve the first 11 at all and just added mediocre players to the squad. The difference I can see is the manager, in key games when we took the lead and would have held onto it ie; spurs and Villa, the special needs one made crazy decisions to lose 2 points on each occassion. I think Jose would have been the difference to us being a couple of points ahead in the title race right now instead of 5 behind. -
OUT: The Bullfrog - best thing that will happen to the club pre season. SWP - just not quite good enough but will do a job for a team like Everton maybe Sidwell - Not good enough. Ben Haim - Got as much positional sense as a toddler on a merry go round Pizzaro - Looked OK when he first came in but not quite at the level we need. Sheva - Not agile or quick enough for the premiership Kalou - Pleeeaase put this guy out of his misery, no better than SWP and just not good enough Malouda - What a tossa, looks like he can't be arsed evrytime I see him on the pitch. Drogba - Definitely going. Been good last two seasons but he wants out and it shows. Lampard - Wants to play in another league before his career ends, been a fanatastic player for us but he is defo on his way. I just hope Chelsea fans don't turn on him when it happens. Ballettti - Good going forward but too much of a liability when defending. Essien - Real shock one but I think he could be a pre season casualty, not shone this season but is an excellent player. I think Makka will stay but will play the odd cameo role. IN: Modric 2 wingers, maybe queresma David Villa Possibly van der vaart. Alves The sales will cover the buys bar 5 - 10 million.

Jesus I've been saying that for months and everyone's been calling me insane! I'll say it again the timing of the Mourinho sacking was such that we would not get a manager/head coach good enough for the club, it was a couple of months into the season and there is no chance of getting anyone decent at that point. The bull frog was there and was given the job, he then took the opprtunity to negotiate a contract knowing that his fat arse would be kicked out at the end of the season and that with a contract he'll get a payoff when that happens. We won't win the league this season, but we should have considering how many times Arsenal and Man utd have slipped. Lets put it into perspective if we beat the mancs at the bridge and win our remaining games we will take them to the last day of the season and considering who is in charge thats gobsmacking and just shows if we had someone with even a little bit of tactical nouse the premiership had our name written on it. Champions league - I think we'll get to the final but whether we can beat Barca or Man utd with that useless fat fucker in charge is hit and miss but even if we were to win the Champions league he still will not be in charge of first team affairs next season, I am absolutely certain of it.

Pure frustration. I wasn't too bothered about Lampard going off because I thought that was the right move, him or Ballack anyway, not because either of them had a shit game but to bring Anelka on and go 442 so that we can start pushing them back. What does that useless tit wank do? Puts another defensive midfielder on to play for the draw, he truly has absolutely no idea what he is doing. And then to take Joe cole off to bring Anelka on was completley pointless unless you are going to change systems, what is Anelka going to do out on the right the Joe Cole didn't?? We lost the game because of Grants shit tactics again, I still fancy us to go through but when we come up against decent sides in the semi's we'll be in trouble on that evidence. Also is there any need for the jibes about the turks??? My father is Turkish cypriot and its a bit insulting to start calling them Kebab merchants and turk cunts for no real reason other than our shit clueless manager losing the game!

Exactely what I thought JBD. I was thinking 'thank god he's realised that if we put two upfront we will probably score another and put this one to bed'. Complete disbelief at the way we set out.....again.

Jesus fucking Christ almighty. I took my dad to this game (Old school Chelsea boy who doesn't get there very much), what a shameful shower of shit the second half was! First half we dominated and did OK, no real trouble from boro we just couldn't get the second. The trouble started when tit wank took Ballack off (The only fucker holding the midfield together) and put SWP on. I cant beleive what I saw next, Anelka on (which is fine I was thinking, just put him up front with Drogba and SWP on the right and we'll get a second). What the fuck! he did a Carling Cup final and put Anelka on the right and left SWP in the centre. Man you will murder us if we set up like that against them. On a side note Michael Essien had a Piss Poor game again, think he could be a shock casualty at the end of the season.

Fair play, like I said there are a few hundred in there that hold their own.
