Exactly, Fellaini is slow and lacks agility and yet Fabregas still couldn't lose him. He's supposed to be the guy that makes the team tick and he completed 4 passes in 30 minutes of football.
-
That's when you have to consider who does the other things better and I think Willian does (better in possession, counter-attacking threat, doesn't screw up 3-yard passes). And for all of Oscar's hard-work, Willian works just as hard if not more.
-
Marked out the game by one of the most immobile players around. That's wasn't great to watch to be honest.
-
If he wants Willian to shoot more he needs to put him in a position to do so. Willian is restricted by playing on the right, he doesn't have the option of cutting inside on his stronger foot like most wingers do nowadays.
-
The goals are here already, he scored 17 last season. 17 for a creative AM player is very good.
-
Willian > Oscar Let him play CAM and see how he performs; he's a better CAM than he is RW in my opinion. Willian would have given Blind and Fellaini way more problems than Oscar did yesterday.
-
Purslow's role has been made pretty clear in the club statement. He will have zero involvement on football stuff, and going by his track record at Liverpool that's a great thing!
-
But Drogba is old, we should have kept Torres!
-
The pass to Hazard that Oscar got wrong is easy stuff for Willian. Willian struggles to play through balls but guiding the ball into a teammates pass is easy stuff for him, just a shame it was Oscar and not Willian on the ball in that moment today. I still can't quite believe how badly Oscar messed up that pass.
-
He would have been much better playing in the centre today and if Ramires was fit I'm sure that's where he would have played. But no Ramires meant Willian was needed on the right to help defend. In the big games Willian > Oscar in the middle.
-
It was an absolute clinic. I wasn't even disappointed after the game, I just hoped we'd reach that level someday. Mourinho obviously thought so too since we signed two of their players and recalled Courtois
-
It'd be a joke if Azpi just waltzes back into the team after his suspension. All Azpi had on his side was he's a great defender, well so is Luiz and he can offer more with the ball too.
-
It puts all of that into perspective, doesn't it? Wenger at the moment isn't even half the manager Simeone is. I don't think I've ever seen a team work as hard as Atletico do, they are absolute machines. Their performance at Stamford Bridge last season was also very good football wise, they played some of the best football I've seen in a long time. He's a brilliant manager.
-
I think he's the best manager around right now too. What he's doing with Atletico is amazing and he deserves a lot of credit and respect. Amazing manager.
-
That pissed me off, especially the Oscar one; it's embarrassing that he can get a simple pass so wrong. We definitely need a Hazard calibre player in AM and RM. I'd settle for just one to be honest.
-
Whoever it is, we need a player of that calibre to improve the first 11.
-
I wish we had 2 more non-goalscoring Hazard's in this team to play in the other two AM positions.
-
Good, not great. Some of his passing is so bad though, man. He struggles to weight his passes properly a lot of the time and for a player in his position that's a big problem.
-
This is the kind of game that makes me unsure about Oscar to be honest.
-
He isn't really, perhaps just a little bit if anything. He is a better player though so is definitely an upgrade.

In a one-off game, home or away, Man City can smash 18 teams in the Premier League. The current Man Utd side are no different to Aston Villa in a game against Man City. Man City are just too good on the ball to not punish them.
-
Lack of mobility and he's being asked to cover too much ground in a 2-man midfield.
-
Man City are going to absolutely smash them. It could be 5 or 6. Man Utd are bad, really bad in fact, that they got a result against us doesn't change anything. City are much more precise and technical than Chelsea and will exploit all of Man Utd's weaknesses.
-
Even though I think that's quite harsh it isn't too far from the truth. However, we're top of the table due to his ability to punish the lesser teams - something we didn't have last season. We missed Ramires' running and energy more than ever today in my opinion.

Apparently it's all because of this post he made on his Facebook: "To do what fella?" did raise a laugh
