Hey, it could be worse, he could still be in charge with money to spend in the transfer market. He has set us back a couple years but another window or two with him in charge of transfers and it could easily have been a decade. Look on the bright side. :tophat:
In an ideal team we would have the best players in the world in every position. In a really good team (the exact opposite of Chelsea at present) Willian would be a valuable member. Willian is the least of our problems. There 5 or 6 STARTERS in this team that wouldn't even get the chance to sniff the bench of the truly elite teams.
Oscar played his one good game of the month last weekend - unsurprisingly against the worst team in the league. We play Scunthorpe in the third round of the FA Cup next month so expect that to be his decent January game.
We weren't being overrun any more simply because Mikel didn't get caught behind the ball. Fabregas ran out of steam after 20 minutes and couldn't regain position whenever he was caught behind the ball. He is a complete liability tactically. I hate the fact that such a weak, limited player is seen as a big player for us.
I don't get why people keep saying this. He is a turtle, can't keep possession under pressure or play with his back to goal. He is less suited to playing #10 than he is CM.
Lack of brain, skill, talent, athleticism...we lack a lot of things. The good thing is we got rid of the manager who was more interested in height than any of those things.
If you can't see that this performance and team has Mourinho's hands all over it then I don't know what to tell you. We've done the first part right by getting rid of him. Now we have to get rid of the players, style of play and mentality he bought to this club.
