  1. Trust me, I haven't forgotten that. I had the youtube link but it was taken down. He is perhaps the most gutless player I've ever seen in a Chelsea shirt and would be the last person I wanted to take a penalty that night. That was easily the most important decision RDM made on the night. I'm certain the players know he is an absolute waste of space. If we can see it then those who train with him every day can't miss it. He struggles with simple things like controlling the ball let alone anything else. A 33 year old Eto'o who was playing semi-pro football for the last 2 years is infinitely better than him.
  2. This is why I will never have any respect for him and can't wait until he leaves. The biggest night in the clubs history and he was moaning just an hour after the game about promises being broken and how the club let him down. Just imagine if it was Malouda, Mikel, Kalou etc who made those comments. I can guarantee you nobody would forget it if they did. Absolute joke of a player. We know how this goes though, he will do something soon, most likely in a game when the score has already been decided, and people will say he's back and deserves more faith. Same old story.
  3. Watching the game I was thinking if Hazard played for either of the two sides he would impact the game massively. Sometimes I think the only attacking player at Chelsea on the same wavelength is Eto'o and perhaps Willian at a push.
  4. I mostly agree with what you're saying to be honest but you have to wonder if he could have waited until the summer for better offers. He left Chelsea - a club that went through a transition process and is now ready to compete - and joined a club that is going through what will surely be a long rebuilding process. Man Utd will bounce back but it won't be any time soon. Their squad is an absolute mess and they still have Moyes in charge. I think he panicked because itโ€™s a World Cup year.
  5. I know pace has never been one of his strengths but it was as if he was running through mud last night.
  6. He was really bad. He's even slower than I remembered.
  7. @lionsden, is your issue with Oscar that you don't rate him as a 10 or you don't rate him as a player at all?
  8. Didn't you get the memo? We are not allowed to enjoy Eden Hazard under any circumstances because there is another player who also happens to be quite good at football. In other news, Hazard is featured in the latest episode of Champions League weekly. Cech is on next week too.
  9. He deserves to keep his place. Willian and Oscar can battle for the middle spot.
  10. He looks noticeably bigger and more explosive than he was at the start of the season. He said recently Mourinho told him to get stronger so he worked hard in the gym and it's paying off.
  11. It's hard to judge individual performances for most of this game but while it was 11 vs 1 I thought Oscar was playing better than he has done in aaaaages.
  12. ONE MORE YEAR! ONE MORE YEAR! ONE MORE YEAR! ONE MORE YEAR! ONE MORE YEAR! ONE MORE YEAR! ONE MORE YEAR! ONE MORE YEAR! ONE MORE YEAR! ONE MORE YEAR! ONE MORE YEAR! ONE MORE YEAR! 13. 69% pass accuracy, just another normal night for Ramires. Frustrating is an understatement.
  14. Willian at least keeps the ball and keeps moves flowing. When Oscar is off he is fully off and can't even do the simple things, controlling the ball almost becomes a chore. Willian offers the same workrate but much better technical ability.
  15. I think it's well known that I rate Oscar highly but I have to agree with some of the criticism. He has been really poor for a long time now and he offers very little in terms of building play and creating chances. His off the ball work is great but we need more than that. I think it's time Willian moved inside and Oscar was dropped to be honest. He has been terrible and isn't playing himself out of bad form, Mourinho has given him too much time.
  16. Mirallas and Barkley definitely but not Pienaar. He's a very smart player and he isn't selfish.
  17. Terry played an absolutely brilliant, perfectly weighted ball first time with his left foot in the build-up to winning the penalty. There aren't many midfielders who could make that pass let alone defenders. His passing is so underrated. David Luiz gets talked up as some sort of pass-master of defenders but Terry is comfortably better.
  18. I watched the game yesterday and thought it was your typical Lukaku performance. He can be very hit and miss, his technique isn't consistent and I don't think it ever will be. I think you have to accept him as he is and decide whether or not that's good enough to lead he line consistently for a team with our aspirations. If he was willing to accept a squad role then there wouldn't any debate, he'd be a Chelsea player and hopefully be part of another successful decade at the club, but I think he sees himself as more than that and you have to respect that if he decides to leave.
  19. Really pleased for him. Well done Demba.
  20. I won't quote the whole thing but tactically we are still poor. Mourinho has made us a better pressing and counter-attacking team but that is just common sense football. Every top team does that already but they have more than that in their locker. We've been so bad for the last 3 years that this looks like the best thing since sliced bread but really it's just ordinary football.
  21. People do not want to criticise the tactics but will criticise the players the manager deems absolutely crucial to said tactics. The average football supporter performs some unbelievable mental gymnastics that politicians would be proud of.
