I think another factor would be the players nationalities we have, many young Africans would support Chelsea because of Drogba and essien, similarly to young Dutch and French would follow arsenal because of past players like bergkamp, Henry etc. By having a players presence such as ramires for example, while playing for his national team will draw more attention to Chelsea in brazil, idolisation of a player by young fans and potentially future footballers would increase the chances of these players dreaming to play for Chelsea.
Good points Think it's Hutchinson between Josh and Benayoun, not 100% sure though, Whats with the blue straps on Mikel's shoulders? EDIT: Yeah, your right it's Borini. Just checked on getty images
That was Alcides, he went off to play in Uzbekistan i believe I don't think i'd really fancy Ramirez, Isn't the type of player we really need for our squad, we have enough Defensive Midfielders
Liverpool are making a profit on this transfer and it's said to be a bargain for us??? He is older, slower and his best years are behind him we shouldn't be paying more than he was originally signed for by Liverpool, it's ridiculous and with the money we are meant to be offering him, it's quite high for a supposed squad player. I won't say it's a useless signing but it is most definitely a needless signing.
If you'd of asked me last week i'd have said Aguero but now i'm leaning towards Torres, it just seems the better option. But sure if we sign either one i'd be happy.
Borini's only 19, he is 22 days younger than me . But i agree he should be loaned out, he needs a good run of games to boost his confidence and develop further as a player. It's safe to say he won't get it at Chelsea, he just needs a good loan behind him and he will bang in the goals.
according to bbc Chelsea: Hilario, Belletti, Ivanovic, Paulo Ferreira, Zhirkov, Mikel, Ballack, Deco, Joe Cole, Kalou, Malouda. Subs: Turnbull, Drogba, Matic, Hutchinson, Bruma, Kakuta, Borini.
