  1. i am very worried that we are not gonna get OUR bosingwa back . the guy hasn't played for almost a year and his return is postponed a lot of times , i don't know but something doesn't feel right . hope to be proved wrong very soon because bos is one of my favourite players
  2. i think one of alex or terry will be rested to lead the defence later against newcastle in the cup .
  3. well i would love to see one of our new signings starting instead of lamps , each of ramires and benayoun had only one game to show what they have and they both impressed but in so different ways because each one has a completely different qualities . ramires is a lot faster , tougher and better tackler also has an incredible work rate but his positioning and passing still needs some improvement , wile benayoun i think is smarter as he gets into better positions , he has a good touch and always lookking for the killer pass so he provides us with the creativity and spark we miss when lamps is not there but defensively and physically he is nowhere near lamps . that is why i think benayoun should be the replacement for lamps and ramires should be the replacement for essien or mikel . here is what i expect : ------------------ cech ---------------------- ---ferrera-- ivan-----terry-----a.cole---- -------------------mikel---------------------- --------ramires----------benayoun------ ----kalou-------Drogba----malouda---- and hopefully kakuta , sturridge and mcecheran or PVA can come in as subs
  4. i am pretty sure carlo won't take any risk in league fixtures , i know it's against smaller team so we have the advantage but it still counts as a 3points win . plus the youngsters are gonna have their chances in the cup anyway . i think carlo will rest only anelka from our starting eleven and may be either of iva or alex so it will look like this: ------------------------------------------------------Cech------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------Ivanovic---------------Alex----------Terry-------------------Cole--------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------Mikel----------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------Essien--------------------Lampard(benayoun)------------------------------------- ---------------------------Kalou-------------------Drogba------------------Malouda--------------------------------------- but i think kakuita ramires and sturridge might be used as late subs in case we are having a comfortable win
  5. i agree with most of the comments up here , mikel has improved a lot specially in his passing game also his composure and strength on the ball is great . but in all fairness i think part of the credit for mikel looking better this year has to go to another man and it's micheal essien .... mikel last year was blamed for our lack of pace and energy in midfield also us being exposed many times on counter attacks which the main task for a holding midfielder ( to stop oppositions counter attacks ) . so if you give a look at our matches this season you will find that essien provided mikel with a great cover coming back very quickly in counter attacks and making oppositions midfield always having a lot of uncomfortable time also provided that needed energy and pace in midfield . although mikel improved his passing , control and technique but defensively he still needs to work on his positioning and the timing of his tackles/blocks .... yes it's better but still not the best. i rate mikel very highly and i think he is one of the best holding midfielders in the world so i am glad he is here but i just can't see that much of an improvement in his defensive game because sometimes he is not in the right position , sometimes he takes too much time to pressure the opposition or make a tackle and he still needs to work on his short sprint because it's very slow but the good part is i don't happen to find him lazy anymore . anyway i think mikel's real test is gonna be against the likes of man city , tottenham , astonvilla and everton because against smaller teams mikel won't have a lot of job to do against a supposedly weaker players where we control the pace and the tempo of the game , also against the big four he will have a lot of support from our midfield and wingers in defense , we all know in those big four matches we tend to sometimes have our all 11 players in our own midfield also the big four will not tend to sit back and wait for the counter attack . but against oppositions like man city or tottenham the problem is we will always be looking to attack and they will defend , they rely heavily on counter attacking and mikel won' t find the same defensive support from midfeilders and wingers that he gets in the big four clashes and as well it won't be easy for him to break those attacks as against westham or wigan . wish him the best of luck
  6. i hope that sturridge or Kakuta will start but the fact is that kalou will start along with Drogba and malouda . as each of Drogba , kalou and malouda had a rest in the last two games so i think anelka will have his rest against blackpool . may be kakuta or sturridge will come in the last 30 minutes if we have a comfortable win .
  7. milan's problem is not in their attack but it's their defence and midfeild , nesta is not the same anymore and while thiago silva is very good you can see that they have no cover for them . also their side backs were humilated against united last year . and in midfeild i don't see any decent player except for pirlo and he is not getting younger ....
  8. i don't care whether carlo was the reason behind the depature of those players because i am very glad this happened , the club now is heading in the right direction with a full experienced very strong 1st team players , a couple of decent subs and some very promising youngsters . although would have been more happy if carvahlo had stayed to provide more depth in our defence.
  9. this is getting more exciting , it will be very interesting to watch how benayoun and more importantly sturridge will cope in this game . also i hope kakuta will get more than the odd 15-17 minutes he gets . but overall i like this team very much very tough and experienced at the back with a lot of attacking threat .
  10. there is not one team that i am afraid that we can fall against . so i think we are very well equipped as we have already proved in the last 6 years . also i think we have had our fair share of Missed final penalties and fuckin blind refrees , so i hope that this year won't be as unlucky as years before . although i can see one threat and they are real madrid , it's not because they are better or fitter or stronger but we all know why , it's the same reason for our exit last year . clearly mourinho holds a mental advantage over chelsea , as much as i hate to admit it but mentally if we face madrid they will have the advantage . hopefully that won't be a problem because they can easily get knocked out by any other big team so let's just hope we get away from them and we are fine .
  11. Ancelotti said: 'I will change the line-up because I want to rest players. I don't want to think the Champions League is more important than the Premier League. 'The normal step is to want to do better in the Champions League. We went out too early and want to do better this season.' Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1311530/Chelsea-boss-Carlo-Ancelotti-wants-improve-seasons-Champions-League-show.html#ixzz0zOj1ZIFe that's what i thought , if we are not gonna try new players and youngsters against a team like zelina when are we gonna do so , hope we will see something like that : cech ferrera bruma alex a.cole mikel ramires benayoun kakuta sturridge malouda well i know this won't happen but i just hope it will be something close
  12. he has lightening pace and great energy , but definitely a lot of room for improvement . here is what i think are his strengths and weaknesses : -strength : 1- super speed . 2- very energetic 3- very disciplined 4- good tackler 5- good control -weaknesses (areas for improvement) : 1- his passing game ( always a little it too weak or behind the player) 2- decision making ( sometimes when he had the ball he could ve done a lot better or choose a better player to pass to ) 3- positioning (sometimes he was out of position specially in the 1st half) 4- strength ( if he adds some muscle like our bison it will give him more power) 5- shooting ( well that wasn't from westham game )
  13. everything a youngster could possibly do show great control ... did it show signs of a very promising star ... did it make you smell danger when ball is at his feet .... did it show unbelievable creativity like that ball he played to Drogba ... did it show great pace ... did it make it clear that he is not nervous or afraid to play against bigger teams ... did it show that he is absolutely the most creative player in our squad ... did it win the MVP of the u-19 tournament .... did it if that is not enough then what is !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. i hope he will .... we are playing zilina , who are zilina ... i don't mean to underestimate them but if we are not gonna take the risk against zilina who are we gonna take the risk against ????
  15. i hope kakuta will at least get more than 30 minutes . enough with those 12-15 minutes he has every now and then . what does he have to do to prove he deserves more playing time ???? i was really surprised he didn't come on earlier today .
  16. completely agree , he was in the right position off course .... also you can see how he meant for that to happen even with his back to the ball but that's our kalou , he is not just lucky it's always about positioning and striker's instinct ... i don't know why would anyone say he was lucky just because he scored with his back to the ball
  17. i hope we are gonna bag in two goals in the 1st half so that kakuta and ramires can have more playing time , because i know carlo won't risk putting them in if we are less than 2 goals ahead and they might end up having only 7 minutes of playing time .... and also it's always more fun when we score one or two early goals
  18. zhirkov is a very good player who can play in so many different places (LB - LCM - WF) . but honestly i don't think his departure would have a bad effect on us , we have the LB covered with PVA and betrand . the CM we have lamps , essien , mikel , ramires also malouda and benayoun can be used there . and for the left winger we have malouda , kalou , anelka , sturridge and kakuta who can play there . so you will always find benayoun and malouda getting a nod in-front of him to replace lamps , also kalou , kakuta and sturridge ahead of him to replace malouda , he is only first back up for ashley cole and we have two very promising youngsters in that area . so if we can get back our 18 millions , i wouldn't have any problems with letting him go for that price .
  19. sturridge obviously has a lot better potential than kalou , quicker feet , better technique , more control , and i think he is as good as kalou in both positioning and finishing . but sturridge is improving a lot these days , i mean after the preseason friendlies and the community shield , i was really impressed by how this lad developed in this nice player . also i think sturridge has more heart so he is more energetic and active always trying do something , always trying to prove his worth and make a difference . kalou is a very good impact sub not as much as people here praise him but you can't deny his quality , sturridge is improving a lot and is a very good sub as well but if you are looking for the perfect sub then why don't you try the best youngster in the world , the MVP of the U-19 tournament .
  20. i think we are about to see some changes in the starting XI because of defense injuries , and also we have a UCL match 3 days away from this one .
  21. well , i won't say he will not deserve this if he stays and plays for chelsea for 10 or 12 years then he certainly can be a fan favourite , and will have a great connection with everyone at the club . but the problem is i would love to see someone like lamps , terry or Drogba captaining our sides after those legends retire . i mean an inspirational man with a lion heart like john terry . anyway here is my predictions for chelsea captains : 2010 - 2015 (john terry) he will be just 34 or 35 and i think our terry can go further than that and be a maldini like legend specially that pace was never his friend so what is there to lose by getting old 2015 - 2018 (peter cech) he is a goalkeeper and we all have seen vandersar at his 40s 2018 - later (Bruma or Clifford)
  22. the castrol ranking only cares about numbers game , how many assists made ?,how many goals scored?, how many blocks/saves were made ? , pass completion ration and all those kinds of statistics . this team is based on that ranking so it doesn't matter whether the player has been with his club for how long , all it matters is how was his statistics in the last year ? i guess that explains why silva is out there .
  23. thank you , would have been so much better to keep mancienne who could have been a great replacement for belleti as a utility player instead of keeping ferrera. and i do trust carlo as well but sometimes i might have to disagree with him .
