This is the mentality that needs to be changed with Chelsea. We talk about transition, youngsters and all that stuff yet on the first blink of a player doing well in a weaker club we want him in. Has Cavanni been better then Sturridge when he was of his age? No. He wasn't probably even as good as Sturridge. Is he better now? Yes, but he got better by playing regularly and for people having faith in him. He wasn't played on a wing like our talented forward is, he was given chances in his natural position and with the right guidance he became what he is today - One of the best strikers in the world. Add to that our 18 year old beast that makes Drogba look like a mosquito and I fail to see the point of bringing Cavanni for shitloads of money. Yes he is quality and yes he would help out the team a lot, but the move like that simply throws away all what the club has been going about recently in the water.

Dear friends, I would like to introduce you the most talented player Serbia has produced for quite a while! He's only 17, yet he makes the opposition look like idiots. He is incredibly fast but also very skillful. His finishing and crossing are also good with and eye for a pass he's a very complete footballer. He got his chance at the beginning of this season from the Partizan coach and he impressed every time he played. He scored 5 goals on 12 games he played in the league. Position? He can play anywhere on the front 3. Partizan coach usually starts him in a striker partnership or on right wing, but he's playing all around. What strikes me about him as that he is very modest and calm. There are no fancy feints and he just runs tirelessly all over the pitch. His play is also very mature, and call me funny, but he reminds me a lot of Messi. He just skips past players and makes everything look easy. Take a look at the video, but bare in mind that he is only 17 and that he made his debut for Partizan this season so there is not a lot of material. Not a big thing either. Dortmund plays 4-2-3-1 with a fast and deadly football. He would fit well on our right wing. Germans play a pretty physical football also and small players have had success in the PL. Gotze is too good and talented to be troubled by the things like that.

We have shitloads of strikers and it's absolutely stupid and moronic to buy another one no matter how good he is XD I would rather see Sturridge play there. I really like Higuain and he's a pure quality and by no means I'm not saying he is not worth the money needed for him or that he is bad, but we are much better investing that money into our midfield and defense which are leaking and aging.

Torres was supposed to be an instant impact at 27 years of age. LoL and he was an impact. He hit us so hard that we still can't get our hand around it... Higuain is 23 only.

Thing with creative midfielders is that it's tough for them to adapt to the pressure and the pace of PL. I would rather pay us a shit load of money for someone like Modric or Sneijder who are proven and who won't have problem adapting. I personally don't know him too much as I don't watch Benfica ...perhaps someone who follows Benfica closely can tell us more about him?

It's a good step, but it is wrong if the club is looking at the players u20 years for the next 2 transfer periods. The age gap between our players is too big and that leaves us with a group not ready for the regular first team action (Lukaku, Kakuta, McEachran, Bertrand, Oriol) and a group not able to produce performances they should due to their age and lack of hunger (Drogba, Anelka, Malouda...). What I want from Chelsea before the Fair Play rules is to get more players like Mata and Luiz. Players between 20-26 years of age who can give more then a few seasons to the club and who can step up right away. Are they expensive? Aye, but we are rich and Fair Plays rules are not yet in action. We need players like Lampard, Drogba and Essien who will produce quality performance for the club over the years instead of Shevchenko, Torres, Zhirkov and similar who only eat wages and have a couple of good matches. As for the 2nd point mentioned by Superblue I agree. Our scouting network needs work, though we've seen a few cheap buys now like Romeu, Piazon, Masek and Feruz along with the interest of players like De Bruyne and that 15y English midfielder I can't remember right now. You can definitely see the change of policy and the club is working on it and it's a good thing, but it's a work in progress. Honestly, if I really hate something is when we pay loads of money for an 28-29 year old player who does well a season or two (or perhaps not even 1 season) and then we sell him for something cheap while Jose's untouchables continue playing week and week out...
