Just give the lad some time. He is 18! Until yesterday he was watching people he works with now on TV and dreaming about being what he is now. He loves our club and I can guarantee you that he trains like crazy to succeed here and you know what they say, talent is 10% and hard work is 90% in football. He has both. Anderlect could've simply refused the lesser bid and other clubs would come calling for him and I doubt he would risk turning them down and waiting for us. 18m? I really doubt Roman cares is it 10 or 18...

For me, Torres needs to leave at the end of the season if the doesn't start playing like we expect him to. You don't pay a shitload of money and monstrous wages for a player to score 10-15 goals and play decent. You pay it for someone who will lead the team through the tough times, score match winners and be a club's symbol. You pay a shitload of money for someone like Aguero, Ronaldo or Silva who are amongst the best players in the world. We do not want to be stuck with another high earning superstar that underperforms. It would be fine if he was young and failed to impress or perform, but he is at his peak and as weeks pass he'll slowly start to decline. He is 28 in 4 months. He is not getting any younger. Do we really need to pay his monstrous wages for him to sit on the bench? It is better to try and earn some money while we still can rather then having him struggle for a couple of years and take the place Sturridge or Lukaku should have and then leave on a free transfer... I have nothing against the guy and I liked him ever since his Atletico days, and his performances aside, he is still one of the footballers I like regardless of the shirt they are playing with, but the club's interest comes first. It is up to him now.

Our board became a joke the moment they sacked Mourinho...after that the joke only got funnier.

Shame...I felt we could've won this match if our front 3 was better. We were decent, but all the hard work that was put in was wasted by our uncreative attacking play. We are really idealess without Mata and Sturridge... AVB shouldn't have experimented with 2 strikers against Liverpool...now we are under big pressure again and we have Newcastle at St.James, Valencia at home and City then. Loss in any of these games will only add to an already very filled up glass of frustration and pressure and if AVB loses all 3 matches...well let's just hope that doesn't happen.

He did alright. There is still of course a lot to improve on, but we have to take into a consideration his years, being played out of position and that we played against Liverpool. I hope to see him go out on loan in january.

Eh...we can bash the fans but the club is keeping the true fans away with the ticket prizes...but then again, they can't afford to have cheap prizes on a 40k stadium so it's really a stupid circle...
